I’m essentially living out my dreams this year. I graduate this April, I’m a social media/brand manager for a lesbian-owned film company based in my hometown, and I’m going to be starting at a local coffee shop full-time as well. Dogs of War rant

It reminded me of gen swine for the first 20 seconds (and you know how much i love that album) but as soon as vince began singing, my hopes crashed. The chorus didnt make me want to sing along, the sound is directly taken from saint of los angeles but since that album, music evolved. I dont understand why they chose to propose that sound again, which was cool at the time but in 2024 it just feels old (which is weird bc the 80s classics don't feel old at all). Going on with the song, i realized i couldnt wait to finish it. The solo is interesting but made me miss mick. And i dont want to hate on john, he is a good guitarist, but hell it just doesnt feel the same; i cant even explain why, maybe i am holding a prejudice against them after kicking mick out, maybe mötley crüe is a band you listen with your pussy instead with your ears, but you can tell theyre creatively tired despite they dont want to admit it.

In conclusion i think they shouldve kept their word and stopped making music if this is what they have to show for it. It's not bad, but it's not a banger either. And since theyre one of the greatest bands of all time, this was very low for their standards. I dont have high hopes for when the full album will come out, but i do want them to make me eat my words.
