@bejeweled-eyes Kristina is the protagonist and my OC for my fanfic, “A Lovely Princess and her Faithful Servant”, who acts as a maternal figure for Jennette as her nanny. That aside, modern AU headcanons:

• Modern AU is interesting because it can completely flip certain dynamics and pivotal plot elements relevant to WMMAP (such as, Claude won’t be able to murder Ana so Ana wouldn’t be dead)

• The closest Modern AU to canon would probably be fighting over the spot of CEO with Ana disappearing after having Penelope cheat on Claude, making Claude the new CEO. So we’re following this kind of general plotline.

• Jen and Athy are most likely classmates at the same highschool. In my personal opinion, Athy gives off more introverted vibes while Jen gives of extroversion (mainly based off of how Athy doesn’t appear comfortable socializing in large groups or being the center of attention + keeping the status quo relatively the same, and how Jen does like attention, socializing, and new experiences)

• Athy in all honesty isn’t particularly a genius, she just already knew certain subjects because of her reincarnated soul. So in a modern AU, Athy’s best subjects and interests would align more into business like math or accounting. Athy’s personal favorite might be something like social studies and debate for her easily fired up personality.

• Jen also isn’t a genius, she was pushed to learn complicated subjects at a young age with Athy’s unintentional influence (WMMAP). However, because of her curiosity and eagerness to learn, Jen in all honesty comes across as someone who’s really into science and/or the creatives. If she’s forced to learn something, she’ll easily grow uninterested and stressed. But if she’s allowed to go at her own pace, she learns very quickly.

• Oh, and Jen is surprisingly naturally strong. Like she caught Roger??? No problem in s3??? In physical education, Jen isn’t a very fast player, but can accidentally hit very accurately in ball centric sports.

• In contrast, Athy is a VERY fast and stealthy person. Girl was sneaking past grown women as a toddler for chocolate. Though she has average aim, she has fast reflexes and reaction time.

• Athy aims to succeed the company after her dad, so she tries hard with her Gen Ed studies later on. Because she’s studying hard, she doesn’t have much time for hobbies all too much. Athy’s the kind of friend who’s hobby is her work, so when she gets burnout she has no idea what to do.

• Meanwhile, Jen really likes chemistry. Which somehow leads to food chemistry. So she makes REALLY good food as a hobby. (Mostly based on how she made chocolates for Claude and Athy that one time)

• Jen and Athy college roommates AU? Athy the workaholic with no time to cook, and her cousin who’s practically a culinary genius who balances Athy’s (unhealthy) diet

• Jennette would open a cute little cafe or restaurant after the whole company succession drama. That kind of local store that has super super good food. Jen likes talking to people while they eat her food too, and likes hearing where they came from and their experiences

• Athy is a really good speaker because of her speech and debate classes. If she doesn’t succeed Claude’s company, she’d make an amazing lawyer in all honesty.

• Jen has potential for law, too. Remember how after Ana sweet talked her? And even while being moved, still went to check history books to find any info that could say otherwise? And then wanted to hear Athy’s side of the story before finalizing on who to believe? I will never shut up about that.

• College Roommates AU or Lawyer/Ace Attorney AU seems cool

• Oh right, the boys. Uhhh, Lucas comes off as the natural born genius who has no idea what to do with his life. He’s a straight A student, but has no idea what to do with his amazing grades. Lucas as a doctor could be cool.

• He gives me Gordon Ramsey vibes.

• “Give me the fucking scalpel or this dumbass is dying of mass blood loss in ten minutes”

• I don’t know anything about medical procedures

• Ijekiel would be the most creative of the group…?

• The academic genius who everyone expects good things for, but in reality he wants to be a writer or an artist.

• He and Lucas would be terrible for an Ace Attorney AU though. Ijekiel is heavily biased to people he likes to the point he may throw all reason, and Lucas is the same—but more violent? They’d be in the middle of a trial and Lucas would accurately call out all sorts of bull and plot holes in the culprit’s defense, but it’d be completely irrelevant to the actual case.

• Ijekiel’s more likely to do that, but calmly and align it with legal offenses, but wouldn’t be able to find how it connects to his case.

• This modern AU headcanon list turned into an attorney AU headcanon list

Imagine an AU where lovely princess Jennette awakening to her chimera traits (horns, black magic, etc.) on her 18th birthday. Unfortunately, it spells bad end for her.

It can go 2 ways: where Claude snaps out of his own fuzzy black magic and attempts to kill her or this incidence happens in public, which unfortunately leads people to think she's in cohort with the devil so they try to murder her instead.

Either way, Jennette panics, and her magic is out of control. She cannot outrun them and she doesn't want to hurt them but at the same time she wants to live. So her magic does just that.

It transports her to a post-dungeon modern Korea, where hunters and guilds have now been formed.

She doesn't know a lick of Korean, she is on her own, she has nothing except for the clothes and jewelry she is wearing.

But it is slightly better than being at home where no one believes her innocence. So she makes do with what she has.

Eventually, ten year passes and Jennette or Jennie, as those close to her would say, is an accomplished hunter who walks like a queen and whose presence demands you to look at her.

WMMAP HEADCANON

So... I've always liked how the swan and the daffodils are symbols of Diana and Athy so I had thought of a way to involve these symbols more in their stories

So what occurred to me is that in a modern au where Diana raises Athy, they routinely go to the park with a lake that is surrounded by daffodils to see the swans and feed them.

"The daffodil symbolises rebirth and new beginnings. It’s one of the first flowers to bloom at the end of winter, announcing the beginning of spring and signifying the end of the cold, dark days. Less commonly, daffodils may also symbols of creativity, energy, resilience, forgiveness and vitality"

Athy loves going to the lake and seeing these flowers because they remind her of her mother and that makes her feel happy and calm.

This is why Diana usually calls Athy "duckling" affectionately.

No worries! It's been a while since I read wmmap fics, so I'll recommend some old favorites of mine.

I think Томные воды | Cloudy Waters is the best wmmap fanfic out there. Like really, I consider it more like a novel than anything else (both in quality and lenght). Plot-heavy, lucathy, closer to the novel's canon than the manhwa's. It's in russian though, so you'll have to use chrome's MTL if you can't read it, but even then!! I would pay for a professional translator to TL this fic, it's that good. If that doesn't bother you, please read all of Ree's other works. She is amazing.

Small Payments is really good and sweet. Fluffy, lucathy.

Lee Jihye stared at the stranger with her Customer Service smile plastered onto her face. For the past few days, a guy who was roughly around her age — early to mid-twenties, she guessed, but it’s hard to tell — had been showing up at her day shifts at the convenience store. He was definitely a foreigner — half-Korean, maybe — from what she could gather. He had an accent, and knew next to nothing about currency. Asian-American, she ultimately decided.

Maybe he’s one of those Americans that just didn’t understand how to convert USD to KRW without an iPhone? Which was surprising since he sounded fluent in Korean. Still… he is handsome — she’s heard a few customers murmur about how he looks like a model or an actor, trying to figure out if he really was somebody famous.

He had long black hair tied into a ponytail, with beautiful red eyes. She’s never met someone with red eyes before.

The stranger snapped his fingers and a bouquet of flowers suddenly appeared in the palm of his hand, holding it out to her.

She recognized the white anemones, but not the other flowers.

“For you,” he states, and it was unfair how smooth his voice sounded.

He was already annoyingly pretty, and she knew he was wealthy considering that he gave her a few coins the size of an American half-dollar made of solid gold the other day. It was a year’s worth of her paycheck, apparently, when she got it appraised. She doesn’t regret selling it at all, now that she’s able to afford to eat properly and a heater. Still, how on earth is this guy rich when he’s a magician? Maybe it’s a hobby, something he learned to impress girls, or something.

“Thank you, sir—” she says, taking the bouquet in her hands.

“Lucas,” he states with an annoyingly charming smile.

Huh, so his name is Lucas… oddly enough, it suits him.

“…thank you, sir,” she repeated, eyeing him warily, and funnily enough, he seemed to sulk when she refused to say his name. “I have to ask you to move to the side, however, if you’re not here to make a purchase.”

“What? Why?” he asked, looking rather baffled at the request.

She smiled, trying not to sigh. Judging from his frown, it seemed that he knew she wasn’t being genuine at all. Rich guy or not, she’s still at work.

“Sir, you’re holding up the line.”

I’ve been thinking of this AU Where Lee Jihye (wmmap) is also Lee Jihye (orv) so I’m putting it here: 

(I haven’t finished orv I'm only on Ch 107 but this is just from my general understanding and spoilers sorry if this doesn’t make much sense)

  Basing this kind of off of a fic I read where Lee Gilyoung transmigrates into Og!Cale in search of Kim Dokja’s soul piece, Its similar where she was sent to wmmap in search of a piece of Kim Dokja's soul. 

She makes a deal with the world tree, who is kind of the god there, and wakes up as baby Athy and the rest of it kind of follows along with wmmap. 

A few differences between the normal canon wmmap from the au:

She’s not really Lp!Athy in this, but she does kind of feel bad for her and find her pitiful,  and she kind of wishes she could’ve helped her out.

She practices swordsmanship even as a princess, she has Felix as her official  instructor but she’s mostly just doing what she did before and wanting to see the differences between how she learnt it in modern times, and how they do it in this era.

Anastacius and Claude's father owned a big company. But unfortunately their father died before dividing his inheritance. Finally, there was a fight between the brothers. And at the end Claude who took over all of his father's inheritance and he hired a personal bodyguard, namely Felix. Because many people tried to attack Claude in order to get his company.

Meanwhile, Anastacius opened a cafe and hired Roger as a barista. Believe me this is going to be Anaroger coffee shop AU things-

Lucas is very popular among the girls at his school. Almost every girl who likes him has confessed his feelings to him but he immediately rejected it on the spot. And he's like to play basketball-

Some how Lucas is a smart boy

Athanasia is so popular that even she has her own fanclub. for real-

Jeanette always asked Ijekiel and Athanasia to teach her but never to Lucas. Because she know that Lucas would teach her merciless

Ijekiel is a school prince charming who will make everyone fall in love with him. Sometimes a lot of girl think he's flirting but in fact he doesn't , it's just that the first sentence feels like he's being so romantic but after that, in the end of the sentences, he's just joking.

WMMAP'S HEADCANON

i always liked the relationship athy has with her maids and even more in the novel. The sweet Hanna, the cold seth and the mother Lily. So, i thought that in a modern au athy would call them her godmothers.

Hanna is sweet and is good with animals, plus she cooks very deliciously so she would have a food place that Athy would always go to visit (some coffee or something) Hanna also loves romance so she is the one who first introduces Athy to the world of romance books. They always recommend books to each other and when Athy goes to visit her after school they stay debating the books they read. Hanna also loves romcoms but Athy is a little more critical of them.

Seth is tougher and harder to approach but has a soft side for Athy. She is very good with cleaning and above all very brave (she literally wanted to hit Claude for what he did to athy on his birthday lmao).

I don't remember if it was her or Lily who helped Athy with her dresses, hair, makeup and things like that, but since I have something else for Lily, I'll give it to her. Seth likes fashion so she would dedicate herself to designing outfits and selling them but above all she loves choosing what Athy will wear.

and lastly Lily, she has a great talent for singing, in fact she loved to sing while Diana danced. That's how they met. They became friends quickly and have always been together ever since. Lily would be a singer but over time she decided to get away from that world because she no longer felt comfortable and dedicated herself to taking care of Athy.

The three would become close friends with Diana and help her raise Athy. (I love the idea of Athy being raised only by women)
