Blog post// This pandemic has been very challenging for everyone, especially hard for any mums out there. Bringing a new baby home can be so overwhelming. You understand that babies cry and need you 24/7 but you don’t actually know what that means for your physical and mental state until the baby arrives. The utter exhaustion you feel in those first few months is unreal. There is a real need for support from loved ones during this time, someone to chat to that has been there and understands, someone to help keep on top of house chores or to look after baby while you have a nap or a hot cuppa. The pandemic has taken all of that away. I brought home my baby boy at the beginning of February 2020, just before the first wave of cases hit our state. It was such a strange experience, so different to the one I had when my twins were born 4 years earlier.
