back on my bullshit again-- i started this stardew villager sprite overhaul project like 8 years ago (2016!) and picked it back up recently. the great news (sarcasm) is that the game updates since then have given me twice as much work to do as everyone has cute little beach and winter outfits now? im going to endeavor to at least get shane done (#biased) but i did dream of getting to everyone. we'll see how far i get this time.
heres an elliott doing a silly dance because i saw the frames in his sheet and thought it was cute
that Bobby Bones interview with Taylor where he claims that the cookies she gave him made him sick and she tells him to stop lying is my Roman Empire because I can’t stop thinking about how, while keeping it still lighthearted enough for interview etiquette, she unequivocally shuts down his gaslighting and despicable toad behavior.
So, I wanna make new underwear today. I have this turquoise tube-top that my roommate abandoned (it really doesn’t look useful), and, I wanna make super comfy underwear that manages to cover me completely, and not be very tight. Something like these shorts, but more comfortable.
I used the shorts as a reference, and took some time to draw a pattern.
Here it is cut out!
It looks super weird by itself, but the way these are constructed is that one piece makes the left side, and the other piece makes the right side. They’re then stitched in the middle, and the little bottom pieces connected. Let’s cut that out of the fabric!
As soon as I placed it on the fabric, I discovered it was a little too small, but I decided to disregard that, and just folded my pattern in the middle. The fabric is stretchy, and I always end up making panties too big (I fear that they’ll be too small). I managed to cut one piece, and it does look small, but, when I cut the other piece and put them together, it looked just fine! Here’s them stitched up together:
And the last piece was just adding the elastics and sewing it into the hem. I’ll admit, the elastic is slightly too weak and it would have been better to make it tighter, but I’m otherwise very pleased with how they turned out. I don’t have to hem them or put any elastics into the leg holes because they’re just naturally covering me without any extra help.
I wish I could be posting to an internet where only women could see my images, and then I’d feel comfortable showing a nice picture with them on me, but since this is a bit more dangerous, you can have a grainy picture of my zuchinni that have gone wild, with the blurred me in the background :)
women feeling that they don’t have their shit together just because they don’t have an extensive daily skin care routine that they commit to or haven’t found their “style”, so what look “profile” they fit into ( like what color looks best on them or what Kibe body type they fall into etc) makes me feel insane.
