the bright pastels around her were such a stark contrast to back home, or even the dusty little room she’d awoken in. she had woken up in a panic, scrambling to find her book bag and something to eat before she realized-- this isn’t home. she remembers letting out a confused scream that no doubt the entire building could hear.

despite the sheep and the letter, the high schooler has trouble processing everything, yet still perseveres as she vows to explore the city. surely she’s bound to find someone familiar, right? right? as luck would have it, she soon spots a person she would never mistake in a million years.

before she even really has time to process what she’s feeling, Mako runs and launches herself at the other girl.

      “Ryuko-chaaaaaaaaaan--!”
