OK SO. Shu has an s/o who had a birthday on 25th of December meaning everyone's too busy to ever visit and celebrate with them on the day, and they're currently like in a dimly lit room with their tiny little cupcake, and it's like rly sad, their about to blow out the candle, but they here a doorbell and it's SHU with a PRESENT AND CAKE?!?! Cause he like KNEW his s/o would be alone so he wanted to surprise them and then it gets all like fluffy and wholesome and WAAA (⁠ʃ⁠ƪ⁠＾⁠3⁠＾⁠）

they all forgot again. you couldn’t help but sigh to yourself as you sat alone in your room wishing at least one person had remembered. but that was when you heard a soft noise from outside your room, very muffled from your bedroom’s closed door.

shu had a key to your home, so you figured he just forgot something, as signaled from the shuffling noises and a few clicking sounds following that.

you only grew slightly suspicious of him when he appeared in your room with a soft smile on his face, gently asking you to come out to the kitchen with him. he used his hands to cover your eyes as he guided you towards the kitchen, only giving you vision when he revealed a birthday cake in your favorite flavor with candles on it, a plate of your favorite food, and a huge pile of presents all for you.

the warm light from the candles illuminated shu’s smile as he encouraged you to eat and open your presents.

of course he remembered! he’s your boyfriend and he knew others would get too caught up in their holiday celebrations to remember, so it’s really the least he could do to bring you a cake and presents! you can’t help but hug him at the sight of his kindness towards you.

he just hugs you back even tighter, gently saying that he hopes you enjoy your birthday and that he loves you oh, so much.
