Tagged by the very cool @shiny-good-rock ty ty fam <3
Last Song: this song by natori, it's a B O P
Favorite Color: I really love dark saturated tones, and I'm always a sucker for dusty blue/dark yellow/deep greens/browns specifically
Last Book: Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor, it's the sequel to Strange the Dreamer (which is also a good fantasy book) and AKLADSKJLDASKJAF ITS SO GOOD ( ;´ - `;)
Last Movie: ahhh kung fu panda!! My siblings and I used to put this movie on our dvd player when we had sleepovers in the basement together, and bc dvd players would start playing the movie again if you left it on the main menu screen for too long, we'd accidentally watch it all night/the next morning from losing the remote or falling asleep. We had a family sleepover over the holidays last month and watched it in the basement again <3 (I don't watch that many movies in general lol)
Last TV Show: hehehehEHEHEHEHEH PERCY JACKSON 𓇼 ⋆.˚ 𓆝⋆.˚ 𓇼 (i've been rewatching the existing episodes, i'm so excited to watch the season finale on wednesday)
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: I like all of them, but i guess sweet>savory>spicy? or savory>sweet>spicy, but spicy is definitely third
Relationship Status: perfectly content ❀⸜(˶´ ˘ `˶)⸝❀
Last Thing I Googled: "all the quordle octordles" i've rediscovered the wordle craze in my heart and am learning all the spinoff versions through googling several of the silly names at once
Current Obsession: I just got an acceptance letter from one of the grad schools I applied to for this upcoming fall term, and i can't stop thinkiNG ABOUT IT FAM IM GONNA GO BACK TO SCHOOL <3 I found that my favorite part of my career to date has been getting people the information they're looking for in a format that works best for them, and that i'm really good at it. I've been working towards this for a while now, but I'm gonna get my MLIS degree and be a librarian~ and y'all already know about my batfam-shaped attention spike, we're all on tumblr here together
Looking Forward To: ice skating with my seestor again <3 Tagging: @thehyrulewhovian, @extremesofmediocrity, @paperraptor, @crazy-pages, and @humming-fly ⋆⭒˚。⋆₊ ⊹

9 (ish) people I want to get to know better
eep @sageclipse i adore you ty for the tag <3
Last song i listened to: "Butch" - Saint Motel, according to Spotify. Makes sense, I've been on a Saint Motel kick. Love them.
Currently watching: I am a chronic show re-watcher. It's super rare for me to be watching something new. That being said, I'm watching Bob's Burgers for the first time because I needed something in the background for my furious crochet sessions. It's pretty funny.
Also -- not sure if it counts because it's not technically "watching" but I recently started Welcome to Night Vale from the beginning and I adore that podcast so so much.
Sweet/savory/spicy?: I'm a sweet/savory combo girly tbh. Love a good peanut butter cup any day of the week.
Relationship status: Taken <3 (my partner's and my 5-year anniversary is next week lol crazy)
Current obsession: uhhh fandom related? creloise, I guess? (eloise x cressida from bridgeton bc I'm once again being clowned by a netflix show; its whatever). generally speaking I did fall victim to the olipop craze. also the wordle still.
tagging makes me so genuinely anxious for no reason whatsoever and also I think this has circulated a bit over the past week-ish so I'm tagging @shares-a-vest @oh-stars and @augustjustice pls feel free to ignore but just know I think ur cool <3

The Alexandria Times #1 (ARCHIVED)
The Louisiana Times Games: WORDLE CONNECTIONS
Those Ocean Leafy Eyes:
“I actually had the chance to have green eyes” says writer Alexander on their evergrowing tangent about them having had the chance to have green/coloured eyes many generations ago. “So— actually, my grandfather from my mother’s side— may he rest in peace— actually had green eyes, but my grandmother had brown eyes” as genetics do, their grandmother’s powerful eyes paved the way for their children’s features. And… yes, they might’ve gotten their hopes up—according to our sources (my mum)— by expecting at least ONE of their children to have green eyes, that dream slowly stayed as it was, a dream.
“But, at least my mother had hazel eyes, those are pretty, but nope. ” as a remark to their father’s black hair and eyes.
“i think if i did have either green or hazel eyes, i would’ve been fucking unstoppable”
“On another note, i actually could’ve also got blue eyes as well, as some of my cousins do'' while this may seem unrelated, keep in mind the fact that my uncle married his cousin —(disgusting i know please do not comment my parents aren’t like that so don’t you worry)— so somewhere along the way, they could’ve got blue eyes, but again as genetics do, the stronger and darker ones always take the lead. What you should take away from this is to never marry a person for the colour of their eyes because u will be astoundingly disappointed.
BREAKING NEWS:
What is highlighted in Pink is commentary from my dear friend sofia from when i sent her this article months ago.
According to our sources, rates of teenagers crushing and falling for men whose ages range from (20-60) have increased tremendously, A lot were known from theirpreviously successful roles and still remain relevant such as: Christian Bale, (need him) Known for American Psycho (2000)
Tumblr media
and Hayden Christensen, Known For Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)& Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005), However, he has made a recent comeback with his role as ‘Anakin Skywalker’ in the new Ahsoka (2023) series.
Tumblr media
Fans went ballistic over the man, partly because of the “Barbenheimer’ craze, and mostly because he has cheekbones higher than most crackheads. (Need him too)
Teenagers online make sexual remarks towards these men such as but no limited to:
“I’d take his little boy (not the bomb)”
In reference to the name of one of Oppenheimer's bombs.
“I’d let him Ultraviolence me”
Referring to singer, Lana Del Rey’s Studio album, Ultraviolence
“Also, his hands are so nice, i want him to ###### ## until i ### so #### i #### #### ## ###### have been ############### ####### into ##### ### ######”
As a remark towards one of the aforementioned actors.
It’s Nice To Remember:
Things that happened today, January 31st throughout the course of history:
The United Kingdom formally left the European Union, more than three years after the country voted for “Brexit.” (FUCK THEM BRITS I HATE THOSE LAZY FUCKERS) (2020)
American singer and actor Justin Timberlake, who was a member of the hugely successful “boy band” *NSYNC, before launching a solo career, was born in Memphis, Tennessee. (1981)
The American film drama The Misfits, which was directed by John Huston, had its world premiere. (1961)
Austrian composer Franz Schubert was born near Vienna. (1797)
Today is National Hedgehogs day.
Don’t forget to congratulate your hedgehogs.
Guess The Lyric:
M__t__l_, p_ys__al__ w__k. _os_ b___ b__wing u_ my ph_ne, __t th_y ju__ ain’t y_u. (Louise (formally 'Alex') I do not have time to solve this)

Note
So, wordle is a game where you have to guess a five-letter word, and you have six guesses. For each letter in your guess, it marks it as either green (correct letter in the correct place), yellow (the letter occurs in the word, but you have it in the wrong place), or grey (the letter's not used at all). For example, if the word was "carts" and you guessed "radio", it would mark the R as yellow, so you know there's an R somewhere in the word, but not as the first letter, and the A as green, so you know that you have it in the right place, and the d, i, and o as grey, so you know those letters aren't used at all. The official version has recently been bought up by the New York Times, and can be found at nytimes dot com slash games slash wordle. The official version has one word each day, and everyone gets the same word. There's other copycat versions, too, that aren't limited to one per day. There's a page with a bunch of different version at ftw dot usatoday dot slash lists slash wordle-knockoffs-imitations-guide-word-games
Hi Data,
This ask if from a thousand years ago, obviously, and I'm terrible at responding to asks. I honestly wasn't even trying to get to my inbox, this new desktop layout has me so messed up.
But now that the Wordle craze seems to be long over, and I forgot about it, my Mom randomly asked me if I've heard of it because someone showed her how to play on the NYT website. So I started playing and now I'm hooked. And, though my relationship with my Mom is rocky at best, we actually now text every day to ask "Did you get the word today?" Which is actually pretty cool!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write out this explanation - this was super helpful and you're really good at explaining things clearly. Thank you for all the info and I'm sorry I didn't get around to answering you sooner!

New York Times Wordle: The Word Game Creating Internet Sensation
New York Times Wordle: Today's Addictive Word Game Sensation
Wordle, the latest word game craze, has taken the internet by storm. This addictive game offers a simple yet challenging experience for players.
The objective is to guess a five-letter word correctly within six tries. Each guess prompts the letters to change color, indicating their position in the word—whether they are correct, misplaced, or not part of the word at all.
Developed by Josh Wardle, a talented software engineer from Brooklyn, New York Wordle was initially designed for his word game enthusiast wife. However, the game's popularity quickly spread among Wardle's friends and family, leading him to release it to the public in October 2021.
Wordle has gained widespread acclaim for its minimalist design and captivating gameplay. Prominent media outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal have featured articles about the game, attributing it to the revival of interest in word games.
For those seeking an engaging and challenging word game, New York Times Wordle is a must-try. This browser-based game is not only free to play but also accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
How to Play New York Times Wordle
To enjoy the excitement of New York Times Wordle, simply visit the official website and click on the "Play" button.
You'll be greeted by an empty grid with six letter boxes, representing the target word.
To begin, input a five-letter word of your choice into the first box. As you make your guesses, the letters will change color to provide valuable feedback. A green letter indicates a correct guess in the right position, while a yellow letter implies a correct letter in the wrong position. On the other hand, gray letters signify that the letter is not part of the word at all.
You have a total of six attempts to guess the word correctly. Failing to do so within the given tries will result in a loss, but you can always try again the next day.
Tips for Playing New York Times Wordle
Here are a few helpful tips to enhance your New York Times Wordle experience:
Begin with common letters: Opt for words that contain frequently used letters to improve your chances of guessing the word correctly within fewer attempts.
Observe letter colors: Pay close attention to the changing colors of the letters as they provide valuable clues regarding their positions in the word.
Think outside the box: Don't hesitate to guess unlikely words. Surprisingly, your intuition might lead you to the correct answer more often than you expect.
Strategies for New York Times Wordle
There are various strategies you can employ when playing New York Times Wordle.
Consider these approaches to enhance your gameplay:
Prioritize common letters: Start by guessing words with commonly used letters, as they are more likely to be part of the target word. This tactic increases your chances of guessing correctly in fewer tries.
Analyze letter colors: Use the color cues of the changing letters to deduce their correct positions in the word. This strategic approach enables you to eliminate incorrect possibilities and narrow down your choices.
Embrace unexpected guesses: Don't shy away from guessing seemingly unlikely words. You'd be surprised how often an unconventional guess leads to the correct answer.
Variations of New York Times Wordle
New York Times Wordle offers several exciting variations to keep players engaged:
New York Times Wordle Unlimited: This variation allows unlimited gameplay, enabling you to enjoy as many games as you desire.
New York Times Wordle Hard Mode: Experience a heightened challenge by utilizing all the letters from previous attempts in subsequent guesses.
New York Times Wordle Duo: Engage in a friendly competition by playing Wordle with a friend.
