Sometimes I need reminding that the audience really loves what I do. The second slide was from the second time I had ever sung “SIX” at @ellensstardust which just happened to be when @henryl89 and Fly to the Dance was filming a really fun segment at our venue. I had so much fun performing for (and with!) them. I absolutely love what I do - both at the diner and just in general. I am happiest with an audience and music to perform and it never is lost on me how lucky I am to do what I do. Genius at work

Still frames of video shot by W Magazine of photographer Peter Lindbergh’s setup for the 2016 awards edition subjects,  including Eddie Redmayne + Alicia Vikander. 

Lindbergh captured the dramatic souls of great actors + models in a way no other photographer did, almost always in beautifully lit black-and-white. 

We found out today that Lindbergh is gone at the age of 74. He will be missed.

Spread refinement and iterations based on feedback from Monday’s class. I’ve been working on using master pages in inDesign and incorporating the page headers as well since I like the look of it and it gives the viewer information as in which designer is being presented, since it’s a book series about different designer’s workStill working with placement of image and text within the grid. I need to find more content for text about Weingart. I am thinking of including quotes from him about how he defines his work and his unique approach, then that’ll be something that contrasts to how Hofmann defines his work. I am now working on Hofmann’s spreads- introducing him then showcasing some of his work. I am also incorporating the three circles, continuing the symbol from the cover page to symbolise the aspect of “visualise” and an abstract yet simplified take on the eye looking up.
