Population Day Post 11TH July is dedicated to World Population Day. It is to create awareness related to population issues. This day was established by the Governing Council of the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) in 1989. The population has been increasing at a very high speed. On July 11th, 1987, the world’s population reached an estimated value of 5 billion. It has been increasing at an alarming rate. Hence, this date was set as the annual date to spread awareness related to the population. There are various issues and the most important one these days is women's health, which definitely needs consideration.

So, take the right actions today and prevent the problems that may occur tomorrow!

विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस: जानिए क्यों मनाया जाता यह दिवस, ये दो मुद्दे हो सकते हैं जनसंख्या वृद्धि के प्रमुख कारण

चैतन्य भारत न्यूज आज विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस है। हर साल पूरी दुनिया में विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस 11 जुलाई को मनाया जाता है। दुनियाभर में बढ़ती जनसंख्या के प्रति लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए इस दिवस को मनाया जाता है। आज से 32 साल पहले यानी 1989 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम की गवर्निंग काउंसिल द्वारा इस दिवस को मनाने की शुरुआत की गई थी। इस दिन लोगों को परिवार नियोजन, लैंगिक समानता, मानवाधिकार और मातृत्व स्वास्थ्य के बारे में जानकारी दी जाती है। कैसे हुई शुरुआत जानकारी के मुताबिक, 31 साल पहले दुनिया की आबादी 500 करोड़ तक पहुंच गई थी। तभी से सयुंक्त राष्ट्र ने विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस मनाने की परंपरा शुरू की है। इस दिवस को मनाने का मकसद बढ़ रही आबादी को नियंत्रित करना और इससे पैदा हुई समस्याओं का हल खोजना था। 1952 में बढ़ती आबादी को माना समस्या आज के समय में बढ़ घट रही आबादी का ट्रेंड हमें चौकानें के साथ-साथ डरा भी रहा है। आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, 1900 से पहले तक की दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी समस्या शिशु मृत्यु दर थी। इस दौरान चार में से एक ही बच्चा जीवित रह पाता था। लेकिन 1900 से 1950 के बीच मेडिकल साइंस ने काफी तरक्की की जिससे बच्चों की मौतों को रोकने में मदद मिली। इसके अलावा टीबी, कालरा, प्लेग जैसी गंभीर बीमारियों पर भी नियंत्रण किया गया। लेकिन इस दौरान बढ़ती आबादी की समस्या पैदा होने लगी थी। इसी समस्या को ध्यान में रखते हुए आधिकारिक तौर पर 1952 में प्लानिंग कमीशन ने बढ़ती आबादी को समस्या माना था। ऐसा करने वाला भारत पहला देश था। ये हैं जनसंख्या बढ़ने के कारण जनसंख्या बढ़ने की वैसे तो कई वजह हैं लेकिन इनमें गरीबी और अशिक्षा अहम हैं। अशिक्षा की वजह से लोग परिवार नियोजन के महत्व को ठीक से नहीं समझ पाते हैं और मातृत्व स्वास्थ���य एवं लैंगिक समानता के महत्व को कमतर आंकते हैं। जनसंख्या बढ़ने से बेरोजगारी की समस्या भी बढ़ती है जिससे गरीबी फैलती है। हालांकि, शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में सुधार होने पर और शिक्षा का स्तर बढ़ने से इसे रोका जा सकता है। साथ ही लोगों में जागरूकता अभियान के प्रचार और प्रसार से भी जनसंख्या वृद्धि को रोका जा सकता है। यह भी पढ़े...  31 साल बाद भारत कहलाएगा बूढ़ों का देश, जनसंख्या के मामले में होगा सबसे आगे : रिपोर्ट मध्यप्रदेश के इस गांव में 97 साल से नहीं बढ़ी जनसंख्या, बेहद रोचक है इसके पीछे कहानी चीनी प्रोफेसर की सरकार से मांग- महिलाओं को मिले दो पति रखने की इजाजत Read the full article
