cleaning my room for the first time in forever and what they don't tell you about it is that if you want to get rid of a mess you need to relocate the constituent items somewhere else. which inevitably necessitates cleaning OTHER places and taking care of THEIR messes too. truly an "if you give a mouse a cookie"-ass situation ive gotten myself into

monsters university is such a baffling movie bc the best parts of the original were the baby and the cool factory setting and mu was like okay what if we had NEITHER of these things and had the monsters in uhh. fuckin college lol.

but they made sure to have one bit where the characters went to the factory and looked in through the window just to nudge the audience and be like 'hey remember how the original movie was actually good"

the worst thing that can happen to a piece of media is for it to get extremely popular. but having it be so niche that no one knows what the hell it is sucks too. the ideal level of popularity is a middle ground where it's popular enough that there are fans of it but not popular enough that fandomheads start crawling all over it like weevils

i know a witch hat atelier anime got announced but i sorta hope it never happens just bc A) it'll always work SO much better as a manga like have you seen shirahama's paneling and B) look at what happened to dungeon meshi. itd be the equivalent of tossing orufrey into a lake full of piranhas

also you all know im not one of those anti-localization losers but the jp title "where does the doomsday train go?" is MUCH better to me than "train to the end of the world". i know isekais have sort of ruined titles with question marks in them but still HHSVDBSKCHKG
