Untitled. (again)
stray kids bangchan x fem reader; mentions of felix and hannah
genre: angst, no happy ending, implied best friends to exes
long overdue continuation of this oneshot; not proofread | masterlist
x
“Hey, beautiful.” Chan tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear as her arms find their way around his neck.
“Hey, yourself.” Two could play this game, she thought.
“How are you feeling?” He asked as they swayed along to the song.
“Well if you’re talking about being a married woman, I’ve only been wifed up for a good 2 hours but nonetheless, I feel great—happy.”
And it was true. He sees it in the way her eyes sparkle that it makes him want to cry and laugh at the same time. He didn’t do either and settled on making a joke instead.
“Well, I was actually pertaining to those feet of yours in heels, but good to know—“
She smacked his chest lightly which finally earned a laugh from both of them.
“I’m so thankful you’re here though, I didn’t think you were serious about coming.”
“Wouldn’t want to be a douche til the end and miss my best friend’s wedding for the world. And,” he stressed, “I had to see the man himself, of course, check if he is indeed worthy, but now that I have, I might have to ask him if you spelled him—“
Another smack in the chest.
“No but seriously, Tony seems like a really good guy. He’s good for you. Better. and I’m happy…for you two.”
“Thank you,” she smiled, a hint of bittersweetness, “for everything.”
Not trusting himself with words, he gave her a nod and a smile.
“Mind if I cut in?”
And it was like he was snapped out of a bubble. Chan turned to look at the lucky bast—he means guy, lucky guy hehe before shaking his head.
“Not at all.” Chan immediately lets go, but not before a quick squeeze of both her hands he was then unconsciously holding.
He congratulated the couple again before going back to his assigned table.
x
“I’m surprised you didn’t try to object during the ceremony.” His sister joked as she hands him a drink.
“And why would I do that when she looks that happy.” He answered, eyes locked across the reception hall where she’s dancing with her now husband.
“Hyung, you’re not going to bawl your eyes again are you?” A slightly drunk Felix butted in, but was quickly shushed by Hannah.
“Nah, I think I already dried myself up during the ceremony.”
Hannah frowned and turned to look at her brother. “You sure you’re okay?”
“Mhmm.” Chan hummed before giving his sister a warm smile. “Or at least I think I will be.”
“Alrighty, is it okay if we go to the garden for a bit? I think I need to sober up your good mate here—“
“—boyfriend!” the said mate corrected!
“I’m not actually foive, Hannah,” Chan chuckled, “You two go. But no funny business, alright?” He warned in a joking manner to which Hannah just rolled her eyes.
When he was finally left alone, Chan’s gaze went towards the direction of the woman he loved—still love the most and found himself drifting back to all the moments they shared.
He remembers first time they met, the friendship that blossomed not sooner than the romantic feelings albeit not knowing at the time; the physical separation when he went to korea to pursue his dreams, and the conversations that followed, making his heart truly grow fonder with the distance.
He remembers that one vacation break where he got to hold her again—only then as more than just a friend, and that day the two of them finally came to terms with both their feelings which ended up with their shared first kiss.
He remembers the long distance relationship, the surprise visits in between his idol and her also busy schedule, the longing, those nights of reassuring both never asked but appreciated, even the rarest fights; and that despite all that, he remembers choosing her and vice versa: choosing “us”.
Until she couldn’t anymore.
He remembers the calmness before that stormy day she finally decided to call it quits, to choose herself and how he went along with it without a fight because deep inside, he wanted that too: to choose oneself rather than the “we” and “us”. It was probably the most selfish, or maybe selfless act in a way, depending on how one looks at it.
But as days turned to weeks, months, years, his heart remained in the same place, never finding another, never wanting—needing to. Determined to reconnect with her, his heart leaped when she agreed to his lunch invitation. But it was soon shattered when she broke the news. He was too late, she was already getting married…and not to him, which brings him back to the present.
It’s funny really, it was like he was having this la la land moment—you know that scene at the end—picturing how it would be like had the two of you stayed together, had both continued to choose the “we” and the “us”.
Then it would be him she’s dancing with right now, foreheads touching, whispering sweet nothings, exchanging vows bound to keep forever.
It would be him at the receiving end of her radiant smiles and melodious laughter, of her warm hugs and blissful kisses; It would be him singing at the top of his lungs with her during karaoke date nights and him slow dancing with her in the middle of the night in their dark living room without any music playing.
It would be him sharing the most comfortable silence as she drinks her cup of coffee while he drinks his glass of pineapple juice as both worked on their respective projects; It would be him who would hold her hand when words fail to comfort her stresses; and it would be him that would lie next to her when both couldn’t sleep being insomniacs and him waking up next to her when they do.
It would be him looking forward to a future of togetherness with her, feeling a different kind of excitement as they find themselves expecting, charging to every food place to satisfy her weird cravings and holding her hair back as she retches it after, figuring out how to set up a nursery and thinking about baby names, racing towards the hospital and having her grip the life out of his hands with the last push, bawling his eyes out upon meeting and holding their child for the first time whose brown eyes mirrored their own;
It would still be him with her during the succeeding sleepless nights not caused by the loudness of their own thoughts now but of their baby’s cries, seeing each other’s tired faces wearing clothes stained with baby vomit and still find the other person to be the most beautiful—even until his hair finally recedes and hers turned grey, and both got wrinkly, it would be him with her experiencing this rollercoaster ride called life.
But when Chan’s eyes met hers again, his lingering a bit longer even after exchanging a quick smile and her turning away again, he realized that it was and will always be just that:
a la la land moment. x AN: reblogs and feedbacks are much appreciated! thank you for reading!

Pasalubong
stray kids bangchan x (established Filo) reader genre: fluff, text and socmed au style, song fic-ish
inspired by Ben and Ben ft. Moira's song titled "Pasalubong" and Bangchan's cover of Yeng Constantino's "Ikaw" at Maniac in Manila! (not proofread lol) masterlist x
You and Chan have been bestfriends ever since you were little and were classmates until he went to Korea to become a kpop star. You two kept in touch even after you went back to the Philippines for college and postgrad studies.
You noticed your phone buzzing nonstop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You ended the call and hurriedly went down your dorm apartment.
“How are you here?” You surprised yourself with being able to speak while still in shock.
“I rode a plane?” Chan said a matter of factly which made you roll your eyes.
“Why are you here?” You asked again.
“I wanted to see you.” He shrugged like traveling hours from Korea to the Philippines unannounced with no known event of some sort was the most normal thing to do.
Yet still, you kept your composure and stilled your now tachycardic heart before raising a brow, feigning confidence.
“You saw me. Now where’s my pasalubong?”
“Huh?” Chan never looked more cute being confused.
“What, you said—“ you stopped yourself mid-sentence as realization hits, “oh did you mean?” You didn’t need to finish as you see him nod.
“Yeah.” His voice was barely a whisper before his laughter echoed in the quietness of the night.
“Oh.” You couldn’t help but laugh at your mistake as well.
You sensed Chan engulf you in a big hug, which you gladly reciprocated, but not before he leaves a teasing remark:
“And here I thought you’re the Filipino one.”

stray kids bangchan x fem reader genre: angst masterlist an: this is a short fic i wrote last year (that got quite a reaction from my friend haha) and posted on ao3 that i forgot to post here…  x
“Long time no see.” She greeted with a smile.
“Mhmm.” He returned the gesture as she sat across him. “I’m glad you could make it.”
“Shouldn’t I be the one saying that? Considering your busy schedule.”
He let out a chuckle.
“I’m surprised you even had time to invite me for lunch.” She continued.
“Well, we have a couple of extra days to roam around. And I would be lying if I say I didn’t plan to meet you here.” He said placing one hand on his nape. “But enough about me, how have you been?”
“I’m alright.” Her lips formed a line before continuing. “I got engaged, actually.”
“You’re getting married?” It didn’t come out as a question, much to his dismay.
“Yeah.” She answered briefly.
“Wow, I, uhm, congratulations!” He was at par with words.
“Thank you.” She smiled.
“I uh hope your fiancé’s not mad you were meeting your ex.” He tried to joke around.
“Nah, he’s cool. He knows you and your family’s very dear to me, way past us dating.”
“Well, that’s a relief. Guess you got yourself a good man.”
“Guess I did.”
“But he’s even luckier.”
“Yeah?”
“Any man would be the luckiest to have you by his side. I sure was back then.” He said with a sad smile.
“Well, I was lucky to have you by my side back then too.” She offered him a warm smile.
“Just not lucky enough for you to stay.” He said a bit bitterly.
“Chris—“
“Look, I’m not saying this to mess you up or anything, but I have to be honest why I asked to meet up. I wanted to know what happened…with us.”
“I thought you already knew.” She took a deep breath, trying to sum up the reason why their three year relationship ended almost two years ago.
“We both couldn’t let go of the things we wanted for ourselves. We came to a point where we can’t compromise anymore and so,“
“You left.” He finished for her.
“I left.” She nodded.
“And you didn’t come after me.”
His head shot up to look straight at her.
“I, I didn’t know you wanted me to…”
She shrugged.
“It was you who wanted to break up.” He didn’t mean to make it sound as if he’s blaming her.
“That’s right.” She nodded.
“But hey, it turned out to be for the better, didn’t it? Mr. Producer of the year.” She tried to make light of the conversation by grinning.
“Stray Kids is getting bigger and bigger, and I get to be the homemaker I’ve always dreamed of. It’s a win-win!” She exclaimed, a tinge of bittersweetness in her eyes albeit her high pitched voice.
But was it? Was it a win-win?
Because surely, Chan felt anything but a winner.
He felt quite the opposite actually—like he’s the most defeated man, even more so now that he has completely lost his chance to get her back.
But everything she had said was right. They both wanted two different things. And no matter how they tried, and they did try, they’re inevitably bound to choose what they want or each other. And they chose the former.
So with a breath, he gave her his most genuine smile. And she knew it was so.
“I’m happy for you. Truly.” He said before pulling away from their parting embrace.
“Thank you, Chris. And I’m proud of you, too. You’re doing well. Take it easy, yeah?” She patted his arm.
“Mmm, you too. Don’t go crazy on your wedding planner, okay?”
“Yah!” She laughed and faked scolded him for hinting her perfectionist persona.
“Send me an invite?” He said when they both calmed down.
“You’re not going to try and stop it, are you?” She raised a brow.
“Tempting—aw!”
She jokingly punched his arm.
“I’m kidding! But not about sending me an invite.”
“Fine, sure.”
“Take care, yeah?” He began walking backwards, still looking at her.
“You too.”
“Don’t trip—“
“Goodbye, Chris!” She cuts him off again and rolls her eyes.
“Just making sure.” He grinned before giving one final wave.
“Goodbye.”
And they parted ways after that. x thoughts? likes and reblogs are appreciated, thank you for reading!

stray kids bangchan x oc reader genre: fluff, angst ? cw: the word “transes” used is a term we use for transcripts of notes/reviewers word count: 947 masterlist
x
“One tall hot cappuccino for Addy.”
Chan placed the cup in front of you—well your textbooks. The caffeinated beverage being your 5th one of the day—night.
“On the house.” He added with a wink.
You rolled your eyes at your friend who is left with his white button up shirt and black slacks after the apron was off. His shift was done.
“Impressive.” You say with a teasing amount of sarcasm as you looked at the foam art showing a girl’s sleeping face whom you can only assume is you.
“Thank you.” He equaled.
“No, but seriously, your drawing skills are impressive—much more on paper.” You locked eyes with him. “Why can’t you just tell your parents you want to go to an arts school rather than taking another business course for your masters?” It wasn’t a question—at least it didn’t sound like it.
“The same way you can’t tell yours you don’t want to take the NMAT and pursue Med.”
“Hey! I, for one, slightly like what I’m about to get myself into.” You defended.
“And I, for one, slightly like what I’m currently taking for Masters.”
“Yeah right, your past four-year rant hauntingly says otherwise.” You retorted remembering college days.
“Well, speaking of…how are you holding up?” He changes the subject, gesturing to the pile of transes and textbooks in front of you.
“How do you think?”
“Eh,” he made a face, “you’re holding up pretty decently.”
“Christopher, I’m literally dying.” Okay maybe that was an exaggeration. “And you giving me another cup pushes me more to my early demise.”
This dramantics (dramatic antics) earned a chuckle from him.
“Who says you have to drink it? I just gave you that to show you the foam art.”
“Well of course, you rich kid. Which makes me wonder still why you really work part time here.”
“I’m not rich, my parents are.”
“Exactly what rich people say.”
He rolled his eyes.
“And I work here for the ladies.” He smirked. “Plus it gives me my artistic freedom.”
It was your turn to roll your eyes.
As you were about to drink the cappuccino, not wanting it to go to waste, Chan stopped you.
“I’ll drink this.”
“You can’t even drink coffee.”
“I don’t drink coffee, not I can’t. Besides, if it keeps you alive a little longer then—aw!”
You hit his face with the transes you’re currently highlighting.
x
“Honestly, I’m terrified.” You confessed, hands tightly holding the matching mug filled with your favorite green tea.
Chan basically dragged you out of the living room towards the kitchen for a much needed 10-minute break from you two’s study session at his place.
“I’m terrified that I’ll always be the failure I am.” You continued.
There was a split second of silence before he turned to his side to face you.
“You were never once a failure.”
You laughed bitterly to yourself.
“Thanks, Channie. But I am.”
“No, you’re not.” His voice was stern.
Frankly speaking, you’ve never seen him speak this serious since your junior year in college when you nearly cried to him about your then supposed friends who were treating you like trash.
“I know I’ll never be able to fully understand the amount of hardship, self doubt, and fear you’re feeling as you head on this journey, not to mention the pressure you give yourself too, but let me tell you this: you are not a failure nor a disappointment.”
You could only nudge his arm in reply as tears started to well in your eyes.
You stayed in that comfortable silence for a moment, shoulders touching sitting closely next to each other, enjoying the warmth of your slightly less caffeinated drinks.
x
“Do you know why I took the job at the cafe?” Chan suddenly asks you one night as you two headed home after his shift ended.
“I thought you said it was for your artistic freedom.” You raised a brow which made him chuckle.
“That and also to see my peace.”
“You.”
This halted your steps as you looked at him a bit confused.
“Me?”
“I want to see you. It gives me,” he paused for a moment feeling his ears starting to warm, “peace. Seeing you gives me peace. And the cafe is where you always study so...” He shrugged.
“Not when I get into med school, no.” You laughed.
“Well then, I’ll just have to apply to the nearest cafe there which I’m sure where you’ll study!” He said matter-of-factly.
“Nah, I’ll probably utilize the library.”
He made a pout which in turn made you laugh.
“I can still make you coffee though. Working at the cafe has its perks! I know how to do it at home now so I can still see you when I give it to you.”
“You really are a dork.”
“Nah, I’m just romantic like that.”
You ignored his statement with a question.
“You said seeing me gives you peace, how is that?”
“I don’t know, you just do.” He hesitated a bit. “Fine, I admit I am stressed with masters—“
“Knew it!” You almost jumped.
“But, all of that fades away when I see you.”
“If we weren’t best friends, I’d think you actually like me.” You smirked.
“I do.”
Two simple words were enough to wipe the smirk off your face and instead make your pupils dilate and heart beat faster.
“I like you, Addy.” He said all too perfectly at the right second, not shying away and looking straight at you.
“A lot.”
Then your own words replayed in your head:
If you weren’t best friends, maybe you’d actually like him too.

x
Felix feeling excited was the understatement of the year. Not only would he be performing with stray kids their last leg of maniac tour, he was going to see someone very special to him.
He knew she would be here, even if she couldn’t attend the concert, as she’s working on her music in LA.
“You three ready?” Their leader asked to which Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin nodded eagerly.
The four were headed to the happiest place on earth: disneyland!
“We have to make one stop yet though.” Chan informed, unable to hide his glee.
x
He didn’t know she was coming with them. He wasn’t supposed to see her ‘til the morning after, at least that was what they agreed on. And if this was a surprise to her as well, she didn’t show it.
“Did you—“ he began in a whisper once they were settled in the third row of the van; Chan was in the passenger seat beside the driver, while the maknaes were in the second row.
“Were you surprised?” She smiled cheekily.
x
“Hey Chris—“
“What now?!” Chan whined jokingly at his sister.
Hannah rolled her eyes, “I forgot to get something from the souvenir shop, I’ll just go back real quick and—“
“Do you want me to come with you?”
“No!” She said too quickly. “I’ll be fine, I’ll just meet you back here in...half an hour?”
“Fine. Take someone with you though?”
“Chris, I’m not a kid, I can find my way around here, I’ve done so before.”
“Alright, alright!” Chan raised his hands in surrender. “Half an hour, text me!”
x
‘meet me near aurora’s castle?’ the text read.
“Hey, uhm, i actually need to go to the restroom.”
“Hyung, I’ll come with you!” Jeongin was about to follow when Seungmin stopped him.
“Can’t you hold it? The ride we really like is just five steps away.” The puppy asked the maknae.
“Fine.” Jeongin rolled his eyes and joined the second youngest instead.
“I’ll meet you guys back here then.” Felix spoke before heading towards the ‘restroom’.
x
“Took you long to find the restroom.” She smirked.
“Whatever.” He rolled his eyes. “So, where to now?”
x
“F*ck, I missed you.” Felix spoke in between their heated kisses.
“You saw me two months ago!” She was pertaining to the Australia stops.
“Exactly, two months is a long time, love.”
“Touché.”
were the last words heard from either of the two who preoccupied their mouths with other things.
 x
“Oh, you’re finally back.” Chan spoke when he sees Hannah approaching. “Did you get what you forgot at the shop?”
“Yeah.” she said, holding up the paperbag.
“Wait, did you two got together?” Chan’s brows furrowed when Felix appeared behind his sister not a second later.
“Yeah, I met him not too long ago on my way back here.”
“Hyung, did you got lost looking for the bathroom?” Jeongin suddenly asked.
“Yeah, no, the line was long.” Felix answered simply.
“Alright then, let’s get going!” The leader began walking, talking to their tour guides.
The two ‘new’ arrivals looked at each other quickly with a sigh of relief before following suit, Hannah walking slightly ahead of Felix––something that did not go amiss (along with the evident still flushed ears of his chick hyung) to the observant Seungmin who smirked and whispered,
“The line was long my ass. hope you’re happy, you sneaky sekkya!”
of course he is, after all, he is in happiest place on earth.

Red Lights
Tumblr media
Characters: Hwang Hyunjin, Bang Chan
Genre: psychological, angst || tw! character deaths, mention of blood and killing (not explicit)  || masterlist
Prompt I posted on twitter:
He placed the thongs in one of the containers, creating ripples as he picked up the photograph. The liquid dripping seems thicker and darker.
“Jinnie.” He hears a woman whisper just as he bolted awake…at the very room where his crime happened.
—-—-—
He woke up feeling something different.
His hair.
‘Who the hell cut my hair?!’
Suddenly, a fit of laughter came out from his mouth, a bit maniacally actually, as he remembered something.
“Silly me,” he grinned, “she did cut my hair recently.”
He took a quick glance at the mirror before heading towards the bathroom to shower.
“You’re up.”
Why his acting older brother look so surprised, he doesn’t know.
“What? No scolding that it’s already almost 2 o’clock in the afternoon?”
“No,” Chan’s lips formed a line, “You know what, nevermind. Wait, where are you going?”
“To see my girlfriend of course!” He smirked.
Chan’s eyes widened. “Hyunjin, wait!”
But he didn’t look back. He continued walking towards the studio while calling her phone number.
The line’s dead.
And what he saw next stirred something inside of him.
The studio…looks, abandoned.
“What happened in here?” He went towards the dark room wherein everything is even more in disarray.
But then he noticed a particular corner, a shrine of some sort, for her.
“Hyunjin!” He hears someone call his name, but it’s like his ears have gone deaf.
“Channie hyung? I—I—“
“Shh, it’s gonna be okay,” Chan bents to calm him down.
“I didn’t, I—“
“Hyunjin, just please calm down, I’m calling the ambulance.”
After a few seconds of rocking back and forth, Hyunjin became extra quiet and his stare suddenly became even darker.
“You did this.” He lulled.
“What?” Chan snapped his head back to look at him.
“You made me do this.”
Hyunjin was meeting her for their first anniversary.
They’ve known each other for two years. She’s a stylist and he’s her ‘muse’.
He stared at the mirror, fixing his bangs with a cheeky grin.
She cut his hair just recently, the memory flashing back in his mind.
He remembers how the two of them laughed at her little brother crying over the fact that he won’t have the long-haired look anymore.
Nearing the salon, he sees her figure. But she wasn’t alone.
“There’s something you need to know about Hyunjin.”
He didn’t know why but as he hears those words, he halted his entrance and hid behind the alley way.
“Call me if anything seems off, yeah?” Hyunjin hears Chan say before he left.
“Jinnie!” Her greeting looked more of a ‘shocked almost as if caught doing something she wasn’t supposed to’ kind of way rather than an excited one.
“Hey, beautiful.” He smiled, his perfected cheeky smile. “Ready to go?”
“Mhmmm.”
Their dinner went smoothly. If anything was a miss, she didn’t let him notice. But of course, he was already overthinking about Chan’s visit.
“Hey, can we stop by the studio before going home? I want to show you the new photos I took.” He said.
“Of course.”
Their walk towards the studio was where it all started to crumble.
“What was Chan doing at the salon earlier by the way?”
“Hmm?”
“I think I saw him leave earlier.”
“Oh, he just scheduled a hair appointment.” She gave an awkward laugh.
“I see.”
“Why, is anything wrong?”
“Nothing, no.”
As they reached the studio, he hears her sigh.
“Hyunjin, can we talk?”
She was going to end things with him. At least that’s what was currently running in Hyunjin’s mind. So he decided to beat her to it.
“What did Chan tell you?”
“What—“
“You know I hate it when you lie to me. I know he didn’t come by for a hair appointment.”
“Well if you already know, why are you still asking me?”
“So you confess? You lied—“
“Hyunjin—“
“It’s Jinnie. It’s always been Jinnie to you!”
“Jinnie, calm down.”
“What did he tell you?!”
Suddenly the door of the dark room bursted open.
“Channie hyung…what—why—“ He’s already bursting in tears. “Tell me this is just a set up—“
“Please calm down, I’ll explain everything.”
“No, no, it can’t be true, right? She can’t—“
“Hyunjin, she’s gone.”
“Maybe that’s what she wants us to believe. Channie hyung, you have to trust me—“
“Hyunjin, please, it’s been a year.”
“What?! No, she just cut my hair—“
“Hyunjin, you had it cut yesterday, for her death anniversary.”
“How? How did she—“
“There was an accident. We found her here, lying on the floor, blood pooling, we called an ambulance but she…she didn’t make it. I’m sorry.”
He felt sick to the stomach. Lightheaded, he tried to walk away a bit from Chan. He gripped the edge of the table where the containers are. He fixes his gaze on one, albeit the red lights making it harder for him to see his reflection.
And just like that, his eyes were dark again. Much like how it looked that day.
“You told her?”
“I—I’m sorry, she had to know.”
“And then I killed her.” Hyunjin suddenly mumbled.
“What did he tell you?!”
“Jinnie, you’re scaring me.”
“Just answer the question!”
“He said you were sick that you were recently having episodes and—“
“So what, you believe him?! I, for a fact am perfectly sane!”
“I didn’t say you aren’t—“
“You’re leaving me aren’t you?! You believe Channie hyung more than me!”
“No, of course not! Jinnie—“
“You’re not leaving me.”
“What are you doing?”
Chains
“Hyunjin, stop! You’re hurting me. Please—“
But it was as if her words were muted. The man in front of her was like a whole different person.
“Jinnie, love—“ She choked as her eyes showed only the white parts.
And then there was silence.
“No, no, no.” Hyunjin came to his senses. “I’m sorry please, no.” He hugged the petite figure.
“Hyunjin!” Suddenly the door of the dark room bursted open.
“Channie hyung. I—I didn’t mean to—“
“Shh, it’s gonna be okay,” Chan calms him down as he bent towards her already lifeless body. “Just call the ambulance right now.”
“I killed her, I killed—“
“Hyunjin! Just please calm down, I’m calling the ambulance.”
“I didn’t mean it…It wasn’t me…” He kept whispering over and over.
But after a few seconds more of paranoia, Hyunjin became quiet. His stare suddenly became darker, as if he got trapped in a trance.
“You killed her.” He lulled.
“What?” Chan snapped his head back to look at him.
“You made me do this. You made me kill her.”
“Hyunjin, what the hell are you talking about?!”
“If you hadn’t told her, she wouldn’t have thought of leaving me and I wouldn’t have—you did this!”
Chan attempted to walk closer to him but he flinched.
“Don’t you dare try to lie again!”
“Hyunjin—“
“Shut up! Just shut up!” He lashed out.
There was a clanging sound as the thongs dropped and hit the concrete floor with Hyunjin following suit. He clasped his head between his hands as he rocks himself back and forth, a wave of paranoia consuming him again.
“I only did it to save you, Jinnie. Channie hyung only tried to save you.” Chan whispered as he finds himself sitting down as well in defeat.
He didn’t know how much time has passed as they both just sat there in silence.
“Jinnie.” He suddenly hears a woman’s voice —her voice.
“Jinnie.” He hears his name again, except it wasn’t her voice anymore. He jolted awake.
“C-Channie hyung?” He turned to see him coughing up blood.
“No, no, no, please, please don’t. I’m sorry—“
“Shh, it’s okay.”
“I’ll call an ambulance—“ Hyunjin shuffles to find his phone, a wave of deja vu hitting him.
“It’s okay. Maybe this is my undoing for covering up her death.” He smiled weakly at the younger male in front of him.
“No, Channie hyung, please don’t, please!” Hyunjin finally came to his senses as he found his phone and called for an ambulance.
“I’m sorry I won’t be able to protect you now.” More blood came out of his mouth. And then his eyes lost their light.
“Any changes?”
“Still the same, Dr. Kim.” The nurse gave a sad smile as she checks his IV drip.
“Hyunjin? Hyunjin, can you hear me?”
But the male only continued to stare straight ahead, blinking every now and then.
The doctor sighed as he clicks his pen.
“I guess I’ll see you again tomorrow.”
As the the door shut tight, something—someone—shifts.
His eyes turned from a blank stare to an intense one, a smirk forms in his mouth as he pulls out the IV.
“No, you won’t.”

Everything Has Changed
Tumblr media
Genre: angst? || short song fic  || masterlist
Characters: Stray Kids Lee Felix, Female OC Reader
All I’ve seen since eighteen hours ago is brown eyes and freckles and your smile in the back of my mind making me feel like I just want to know you better.
“How long have you been coming here?”
“Oh you mean volunteering? Hmm probably a year now.”
“Oh. May I ask why? I mean if it’s okay.” She added, a bit hesitant if she’s prying too much.
“I enjoy seeing them smile.” Felix answered, eyes wandering around to see the patients in their own worlds.
“Especially when I bring them my homemade brownies and cookies.” He added with a smile, a contagious one that her heart couldn’t help but skip a beat.
“What about you? How long have you been coming here?” He returned the question.
“Hmm, I can’t say exactly, but probably longer than you have.”
‘Cause all I know is we said hello and your eyes looking like coming home. All I know is a simple name and everything has changed.
“Oh, it’s you.” Her voice was almost melancholic.
“You remember me?” Felix looked a bit surprised.
“Of course.” She smiled, as if she woke up from a trance. “You’re the cookie guy from this morning, Felix, right?”
“Oh, right.” He placed a hand at the back of his head.
In my stomach is butterflies, the beautiful kind, making up for lost time.
“Is it weird that I feel like I’ve known you longer than I could possibly remember?” She suddenly spoke.
“Who knows, maybe you do.” He shrugged.
“Ayyy,” she nudged her shoulder to his, “that’s impossible. I think I’d recognize you if I had known you before.” She chuckled.
“Yeah. Oh, Blaire?”
“Hmm?”
“Can I ask you out?”
Her smile widened. She didn’t know why her heart is fluttering because of a stranger. Feeling a little brave, she nodded.
“Sure, when?”
“Tonight?”
Come back and tell me why I’m feeling like I missed you all this time; Meet me there tonight tell me that it’s not all in my mind.
She walked towards the strangely familiar treehouse.
Felix.
Tears started to form in her eyes as she sees his back.
“Lix.” She merely whispered.
“Oh, you’re here early!” He turned and smiled cheekily at her. His smile, however, quickly disappeared when he noticed her expression.
“Hey, are you okay?” His eyes full of concern.
“I’m sorry, Lix.”
He stiffened, taken aback by her sudden embrace.
“I’m so sorry.” She hugged him tightly.
“It’s okay.” He came to his senses and rubbed her back as she cried even more.
“I missed you though.” He tried to smile as his eyes began to well up. “I missed you so much.”
Truth is he isn’t really a volunteer at the facility they were at earlier. Neither is she. Not anymore anyway.
She used to, but not after, well, she became a patient herself.
She was diagnosed with dementia, you see, just a year after they were married.

Four of Clubs
Tumblr media
Part Two of SKZ in Borderland Series of Shorts but can be read on its own || Part 1  || masterlist
Characters: Stray Kids Bang Chan, Lee Minho, Kim Seungmin, Lee Yongbok, Yang Jeongin
Genre: angst || tw! character deaths || cw! alice in borderland spoilers
Chan and Minho, his new found ally headed towards the next game. There they see what used to be a school bus, covered in graffiti.
They entered the vehicle and took their respective “cellular” devices. That’s when they noticed that they were not alone.
Inside the bus are three people: one with noticeable specks of freckles on his face, the other one with a straight face, and the last having a fox-like eyes who seemed to be the youngest among all of them.
“You two together?” The straight faced one asked.
Chan could only nod.
“How about you three?” Minho asked back.
“Mmm,” the one with the freckles nodded. “Initially, it was just me and Seungmin,” he pertained to the one who asked them earlier. “Then we met Jeongin.” He then pointed at the youngest.
Chan noticed the bandage on Jeongin’s leg that is tinted with fresh blood.
He’s injured.
Just then their phones lit up.
Game: “Goal”
Players: No Limit
Bang Chan Kim Seungmin Lee Minho Lee Yongbok Yang Jeongin
Time Limit: 50 minutes
Rule:
Reach the Goal.
Then their screens turned to white with the number 0 on it.
Seungmin immediately went towards the driver’s seat.
“No gas.” He said in frustration.
“Does this mean we have to run again?” Yongbok looked at him and Jeongin a bit concerned. They just got out from a another game as well, plus what about Jeongin, he can’t run.
For a split second, Seungmin’s face faltered.
“We have to reach the goal.” Minho spoke.
“You all go, I’ll stay here.” The maknae finally spoke.
“Are you insane? We can’t just leave you—“ Yongbok began but was cut off.
“So what, you’d rather have us all dead?” Jeongin spat. “Time is ticking, you all need to go.”
“He’s right.” Minho nodded before turning to Chan. “Let’s go.”
“I’m not leaving you here to die.” Yongbok once again spoke.
“Who says anything about me dying?” Jeongin laughed bitterly. “I’ll look for another way to survive this. Now go, you want to see your sisters again, right?”
Chan was the last one to leave. He gave Jeongin one last glance, the maknae only smiled slightly at him.
“There’s no other way, is there?” Chan murmured grimly as he got off the bus.
“No.” Minho answered.
And they both already knew, he’ll die.
Twenty minutes have passed, the numbers in their screens continue to increase. Then they saw a table with...
Water.
They decided to stop for a bit.
Yongbok quickly grabbed a bottle and just as Chan was about to do so as well, Minho stopped him.
“Here.” Minho handed Chan his water bottle.
“Thanks.” The older guy said before drinking almost half of it. He sees Yongbok gulp.
“Here.”
Yongbok glanced at Minho who rolled his eyes before nodding.
“Thank you.” The boy with the freckles smiled before taking the drink. After one gulp, he hands the bottle to Seungmin who finished it all.
“Let’s continue running.” Minho said not even looking back as he starts to sprint again.
Everyone was still running albeit breathless when they heard a growl.
They had company.
None knew what it was, except that it has very sharp teeth and claws aimed at them.
And so they ran and ducked at every pounce.
Everything happened so fast but the last thing Chan saw was Yongbok flying towards him.
Seungmin pushed him.
What happens next earned a sob from the younger male.
Seungmin died first at the claws of the beast. But not after he stabbed it straight to where the heart is located.
“We have to keep moving.” Minho told Chan and Yongbok.
As they continued on, they passed by a motorbike.
“Wait.” Minho inspected the vehicle. “Oil.”
“We can fill up the bus.” Chan replied.
“Jeongin.” Yongbok spoke. “We can save Jeongin!”
“But the run back is too far, we won’t make—“
“I’ll go.” Chan cuts Minho off. “You two go ahead, I’ll go back and we’ll meet you all there.”
Chan volunteered to run back leaving Yongbok and Minho to reach the “goal”.
But what they arrived at looks more of a dead end.
And that’s when they heard it.
Water.
“It’s starting to get through the walls!” Yongbok shouted.
“Run!”
They began to sprint back but the water was too swift that it took Yongbok too quickly.
Now, Minho couldn’t swim for his dear life and so he just ran and ran.
Until he sees the bus.
“Minho!”
“Chan!”
The older male reached out his hand which Minho took.
Everything was a blurb. Once they were all inside the bus, it collided with the water. But after a few spins, everything stopped.
They survived.
Chan, Minho, and Jeongin survived.
They went out of the bus which was now on it’s side.
Written on the visible side of the bus, in big letters, is the word:
GOAL
“Zero.” 0 distance from the goal. The bus was the goal all along.
They could have all lived.
Once again, their phones lit up, a robotic voice congratulating them.
“Aren’t you coming with us?” Chan asked the youngest who only shook his head in response.
“I do hope we get to see each other again.” Jeongin spoke.
“I hope so too. Survive, yeah?”
“I won’t let their lives go to waste.”

Gone Away
Tumblr media
Stray Kids Hyunjin x Bin Noona x Felix
Self indulgent one shot angst || Purely a figment of my imagination!  || masterlist
There’s no escape, it seems my love is here to stay. But I know that you’ve gone away, gone away. You left me right here all alone and won’t come back.
“Yah Yongbok! Where are you?!” Hyunjin can hear Changbin’s voice from the other side of the dorm.
“Just a sec!” Felix yelled back.
“Where are you two off to?” Hyunjin asked.
“Oh, uhm I asked Changbin hyung to go biking with me.” The youngest answered.
“Yah, what’s taking you so long? Noona’s almost here—“ Changbin stopped mid sentence when he sees Hyunjin.
Bin hyung’s noona? She’s coming here?
The members were well aware of the story, now history. Hyunjin and Changbin’s noona dated a while back but called it quits after almost two years.
It was one of those cliche idol breakups really, having no time to see each other, the hiding, etcetera. That while she understood, it was simply harder dating an idol compared to just being an idol’s sibling.
And even though things remained cool between him, her, and Changbin (and also Felix when he became her bestfriend), there are still moments, like today, that the older and younger member couldn’t help but feel on edge.
The rising tension was evident and as if to add more fuel to the fire, the doorbell rang.
“That’s probably her.” Changbin muttered before opening the door with Felix following behind, revealing the person Hyunjin hadn’t seen in so long.
Hyunjin didn’t know why but something inside him stirred when he sees her give Felix a side hug.
Snap out of it. He scolded himself.
“Ready to bike, loser?” She then asked her brother with a smile, the same smile she used to share with him, before it slightly faltered when she finally saw him.
“Oh, annyeonghaseyo.” She bowed her head slightly to which Hyunjin only responded with a slight nod and smile.
“Well you three have fun.” Hyunjin said with utmost sincerity. He was about to excuse himself when she spoke.
“Why don’t you join us? These two would probably just have me following them behind.” She tried to invite him.
“I’m pretty sure it’s going to be Changbin hyung that you’ll leave behind though.” He chuckled, earning a grin from the woman and an annoyed look from his hyung.
“Touché. Well it was nice seeing you again.” She smiled.
“You too.”
“Ehem. So can we go now, before it gets real dark?” Changbin finally interrupted.
•••
“And you just left her?!” Hyunjin shouts accusingly.
“We didn’t!” The younger retorted.
“Hyunjin will you calm down!”
“Calm down?! Your sister is missing—“
“And you think I’m not at my wit’s end because of it?! But yelling at Felix won’t make her magically appear, so will the both of you stop.”
Just then, Changbin’s phone lit up, but before he could even check it, their leader appeared.
“They found her.” But instead of having relief, his face was grim.
•••
“It was nice seeing you again.” Her words echoed in his mind.
Had he known that was the last, he would’ve said yes to the invitation, he would’ve stayed close to her at the trail, heck he wouldn’t even have agreed to end things with her months prior.
And maybe, just maybe, she would still be here by everyone’s side, by his side.
But alas, thinking of the things he would and wouldn’t have done are futile now.
Because she’s gone.
Gone away and never coming back.

Seven of Hearts
Tumblr media
Part One of SKZ in Borderland Series of Shorts but can be read on its own || Part 2  || masterlist
Characters: 3RACHA
Genre: angst || tw! character deaths || cw! alice in borderland spoilers, mention of blood (not explicit)
“Hide and Seek”
Four Players:
Bang Chan Han Jisung Seo Changbin Shibuki Saori
Time Limit: 15 Minutes
Rules:
• One player becomes the wolf while the remaining three become sheep. • The sheep shall hide from the wolf. • If the wolf made eye contact with a sheep, the the sheep becomes the wolf. • After a new wolf is created, the sheep cannot become a wolf for the next 3 seconds. • Once the time limit is reached, the current wolf gets a “Game Clear” and their collar will come off, while all the sheep will receive a “Game Over” and their collars will explode. • Only 1 will survive. • Trying to remove the collar results in a “Game Over” as well.
Everything happened so quickly.
One second he was helping Jisung refrain the other player named Saori from attacking Changbin and then the next he was running.
Once Chan regained the ‘wolf’ title again, he was forced to run.
Finally finding an area to hide, he pressed both of his palms on the side of his head.
“Think, Chan, think.” He commands himself but alas, his brain fails to cooperate with his desperate plea.
He began fumbling with the tools he took from the table earlier when the game commenced and began tinkering with his collar.
‘Trying to remove the collar results in a Game Over as well.’ The robotic voice played in his head.
His body fell to the ground as realization hits.
This isn’t a game he can rig.
And while he was scared, Chan knew what he had to do.
“I’ll drop out of the game.”
His words were only met by silence.
“You guys…you’re all I have. And if anyone deserves to survive here, it’s not me.”
He then stood up and began walking—running around and calling out his friends’ names but no one answered.
“Changbin! Jisung!” He tried once more when Changbin spoke.
“Yah, stop yelling.”
“Changbin!” Chan tries to locate his voice.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard Chan yell this loud since high school.” Jisung snickered.
“Jisung, where are you?”
“He was so mad at us when we voted him wrongly as the mafia that he had to stay and clean up the whole gym.” Changbin couldn’t help but laugh at the memory.
“Then we ate ramen that night and noodles came out of Changbin’s nose.” Jisung added.
“Yah!”
“Changbin, Jisung, where are you two?!” Chan could feel the tears falling from his eyes.
“But then, Channie, mianhe.” Changbin apologized.
“Please come out!” He pleads as a robotic voice began a 10-second countdown.
“Continue to write songs for us.” It was Jisung. “Write one about me, I can’t have Changbin being the only one with a song written about him.”
“Why don’t you write one yourself!” Chan yelled with frustration.
“Because that would be narcissistic.” Jisung retorted still keeping Saori trapped in his arms. “Plus you met me first and you haven’t made me a track.”
What’s the point when he won’t be able to hear it?
“Live for us.”
Just then, Chan finds Changbin’s side profile as he said his last words to him.
“Channie, gomawo.”
Then he hears the robotic voice again.
3 2 1
“Changbin!” His scream was muffled by the deafening sound of the [sheep’s] collars exploding as Changbin’s blood splatter, some towards his face.
Chan screams hysterically, calling out for his friends’  names as he mourns their gruesome deaths.
Only to be answered by his phone lighting up and the robotic voice saying,
‘Game Clear’
