Heya!! For the fanfic ask game, K, L , and M?

K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

perhaps whatever the shit is going on with reggie in the spidey-reg au. a good portion of that is just him being Anxious, but i think ch13 is a real specific shift in the angst bc the entirety of the previous chapters focus on reggie and how he's doing, but then ch13 focuses on his partners and homies and there's just. none of them know what's truly going on, and the reader doesn't know exactly what's going on either but they know enough to be like "oh honey he's not at home and it doesn't sound like he's coming back" and it's just. they're all Going Through It and they're about to Go Through It even more.

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

it really depends on how long a section of the fic/chapter has existed. like if i write it and then jump to another part or do something not-writing and eventually come back to it, and i might end up rereading it like a million times bc it exists and i'm trying to find inspiration to write more or i'm just too lazy to write more lol. and so anything that connects scenes or ends a section, those are probably proofread/revised once or twice bc i'm like "i need something to end this and i can't think about it properly bc i've been trying to end it for a while, so we're just gonna go with it and not be upset if it kinda sucks in comparison to the rest of stuff"

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?

boggie mafia+arranged marriage au. the henry hoover and roomba nonsense from the rarepair server. carrie/flynn/julie softness. continuing the sunset curve-as-btr au and the road trip au bc i accidentally made an entire universe for that thank you rarepair fic fest.

I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

some hoe (me) is very touch-starved and will end up writing a lot of softness and cuddling and physical affection to cope. and i love reading it too. and even with all the angst i write (oops) i LOVE reading fluff it is the main thing i read, i need to see the characters being soft and loved otherwise i'll be sad.

it. depends. bc it depends on the character that's dying, if they're coming back (faked death or ghost or back to life). i don't think i'll ever write a Major character death (maybe minor, death offscreen, faked death) and this is like. doing a loophole with jatp bc i'm not going to write the guys' deaths but i've written them as ghosts which is Aftermath so i'm not writing the Death Itself??

oh man i haven’t opened the spidey-reg doc since i posted the last chapter. i know this bc i never put the ch14 word count into the doc (i have it written in the notes app on my phone bc i didn’t want to switch back and forth between docs and browser on my phone while on my way to the wedding and risk either app refreshing)

Reggie Peters likes to believe his life is relatively normal. He wakes up, he goes to work at covINKton’s, he rehearses with Julie and the Phantoms, he sleeps, and some stuff happens in between. That’s pretty much the gist of things. Until last month. Because some new person started working at the cafe next door. (Or maybe the person could be included with the “stuff,” although they seem to be a category of their own.) ~ boggie + trading coffee and dates for a free tattoo = chaos and stupidity (/pos /gay)

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

uhhh the entirety of ch13 of spidey-reg. bc reg did some whack thing at the very end of ch12, and then i was like “haha wouldn’t it be silly if i showed a little bit of his partners and homies Realizing what he did before throwing the narrative back to him?” and then ch13 turned into ten thousand words of nonsense in which reggie didn’t even APPEAR so we only get to the reggie-related aftermath of ch12 in ch14 which took me like three months to post oops.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

i think uhh flower language/meaning is a big one for me just bc i love it so much. also the stupidest possible confession scenes that i could write. emo hours? i project my own emo hours onto the characters except they get a nice lil hug from the homies and/or partner(s) which i cannot get as easily irl so i must write it as a form of therapy perhaps

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

i am once again thinking about the stupidest possible confession scenes
