Ha-ne-LIE not Ha-NE-Lie

Every time people ask her name, a lot of people say to her that “Oh! What a wonderful name!” “Oh! Such a unique one!” and other kinds of stuff like that. People who are pronouncing her name very wrong makes her cringe and annoyed at the same time. Ha-ne-LIE (Lee!! Not lie as “kasinungalingan”) Sagarino De Castro , but they call her Hane. “Hane” was made when she was in her 1st year of college by Jen Vivien, my classmate friend. Jen made her name even shorter because her name has 3 syllables in it and she said that “it’s too long to say it” (Thank you Vivien! 💕)

A 19-year-old girl who’s turning 20 this 14th of March. Proud ‘98 kiddo and loves to throwback such good ‘ol days. She was born in Lipa, Batangas but grew up in Manila. Well, my dad who is Hernando Almodiel De Castro (everyone calls him “Emman or Herman”) in Manila, who came from Marawoy, Lipa City, Batangas, started his own business in Manila and we stayed there for good. Angelita Sagarino De Castro, my mom who is a hardworking and lovable housewife who had 4 daughters and 1 son.

Sometimes she feels weird because she only has one name while her siblings have two names, they are Beverly Hill, Hernando Jr., Hermie Angeli, Mary Angela and to think that I’m the youngest and also blessed to have a unique name. HAHA! (well, I’m too cute for mom and dad! lol).

Then the all-time questions when she starts studying in De La Salle Lipa this college: “Why are you here?” “There are so many schools in Manila, why are you here?” and just tell them, “It’s a long story to tell.” Well to cut the story short, her family is having a financial problem until her uncles (father’s side) decided to support her education and needs, but then it stopped when she’s already in 3rd-year college 2nd semester taking up Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Arts, due to their huge family problem way back before.She doesn’t understand why will they need her to get into their problems yet she's struggling to finish her studies and goal to help her family in the near future. At the age of 17, having those struggles she faced when she studies here and adjust herself in a new place makes her a strong, independent woman well far away from her family was very hard after all. Thank God having her supportive classmates/friends at school and everywhere are there for her to help the struggles she is facing.

For the faves and likes: She is a One Direction avid fan, likes any shade of blue kinds of stuff, loves to read fiction and non-fiction novel books, sweets, well-fashioned clothes & shoes, to sing in the bathroom and just sing anywhere when she hears a song she knows, dogs and cats, cute stuffs, to photograph wonderful things and most of my fave is to SLEEP! Yeah, sleep is life! Then she hates ketchup, she has a fear of ketchup called “Mortuusequusphobia” and every time she sees it, she is disgusted by it and afraid because of my childhood days her housemaid gave her a hot sauce condiment that I thought it was an ordinary tomato ketchup. (Weird right? yeah) Being a quick-tempered and very sensitive person make her hate some people who bully or mock her and make her face red for non-sense mocking. And oh! she also has a stage fright and really hates in front of the crowd.

In the near future, Hanelie is dreaming to be an Airline Pilot someday, just like her cousin who took Multimedia Arts course and study again to pursue his dream and she really admires him. We all know, it has many perks to become an Airline Pilot but then again, ithas a downside of it. It cost millions to study at a flying school. After graduating, Hanelie wants to be a Professional Wedding videographer/photographer someday.

Will never know, plans always changing. Aight? 😀

A New Resource Has Been Discovered- 9/25

After accidentally clicking the web writing tag on one of my posts, I discovered writingfortheweb.tumblr.com, a blog curated by Malcolm Davison of writingfortheweb.co.uk, dedicated to various topics related to content and business strategy, as well as web writing. Several of the posts break down topics talked about in class and explain them in simple, easy to understand ways. Posts seemed to have been made on a fairly constant basis until 2014 and were written in a professional, yet not overly sophisticated language. The posts are somewhat dry, but that could just be because of the subject matter. The posts are fairly long but informative. It seems as though the blog was not particularly popular, which could be in part why the blog tampered out as of last year. It could be a useful resource while continue to navigate through the world of content strategy and web writing.
