Concept Art Time~☆

These first two are concepts for book covers 1 & 2. Very likely (guaranteed tbh) to change before their individual releases.

Next, we have a group of sketches that show ¹Jolon leaping with an orb of light above one hand [this kinda goes along with a dream he has had periodically ever since he was a yip (child)], ²Jolon standing next to his best and only real friend Ayita, and ³a solo image of a slightly older Jolon sitting with his legs crossed. The sketches on the right are two I did while writing these scenes in the first book: ¹Jolon & Ayita snoozing under the tree and ²Jolon listening to Ayita as they head out from the village for their adventure.

Lastly ((for now)) is art of one of the creatures encountered in the book [the xandii being something like a large quilled weasel; plural: xandos], and one of the side characters [Sani; a water elf]. I do plan to draw more of the plants/animals and other mentioned characters. Any named characters will be seen (or at least heard of) again in book 2, btw~ I didn't make them just to leave them behind, so look forward to encountering them again in the next installment!

I should be writing. but I’ve been watching Great British Bake Off for the last several hours instead. sooo tired.

Xandii the bandit queen is still very much trash and flirting with the grizzly old vault hunter. Nothing has changed~ (I need to remake a reference for her…)

It's bed time! And of course I'm not tired now. Despite the fact that I slept for about 2 and a half hours and then was up for about 19. And we're getting up at 5 tomorrow to go gold slooping! Only for B will I get up at 5 to go out doors all day....

And landed! Totally feeling forgetting my sunglasses. California is BRIGHT.

I forgot my sunglasses. There is a 100% chance I will buy new ones in California and there is a 100% chance they will be the same the ones sitting on the kitchen counter.

My flight is deboarding now. That's a bit stressful. More stressful is all the people complaining about it. This shit happens people. Don't blame the flight crew. Also wouldn't you rather wait an extra half hour then fly in an unsafe plane???

The gate attendant just announced there are only 78 people on our flight. And so far no babies. Woohoo

Tried to take a gym while I wait. Was going really well until someone revived all the Pokémon in it!

One last hooraw before we go to the airport. Time to go home....

We visited the second deepest mine in the world! The mansion that the couple who owned the mine lived in was amazing. Some of those rose bushes are from the early 1800s.

There was a woman in the dressing room next to us at target telling her kid how there are no boy clothes or girl clothes. And that they could wear what ever they wanted. It was great. Gap actually had jeans long enough and a helpful attendant. The woman at JC Penny wouldn't let B use the fitting rooms. So we left. And then we left bad yelp reviews. Banana Republic was super expensive. But then dressing room people where soooo friendly and helpful. All in all shopping was a total success and we had fun.

I finally slept in a little! This morning we're going shopping! I muuuust find shoes. My keds officially bit the dust on Friday. And we're going to find B jeans! And possibly shorts.
