Just imagine her keeping him under her thumb for those seven years; her absolutely delighted and Alastor scratching at the door like an irate cat like “get me the Hell out of here!! >:’-)”. I imagine her being super affectionate and watching him like a HAWK and him Hating It.

And then he gets sent to the hotel and hes like So Jazzed cause he has ✨autonomy✨ even with his powers limited by the deal and having to play nice with the other Hazbins. Like if Lilith sent him to watch over Charlie, im sure thats why he was so insistent in joining the crew in the pilot even without Charlie agreeing to a deal. Lilith would make him stay there anyways, and failing at the first little breath of freedom he’s had in SEVEN YEARS was simply not an option no sirre!
