#yandere spartan buck

Hello! I'd like to request a concept for Edward Buck from Halo if that's okay. Thank you! ^^
Focusing more on Game Canon than Book Canon in this. Hope you like it still :) My biggest issue with Halo yanderes is making them more than just protective, lol. I haven't played ODST in a bit so this is mostly from memory. If someone has ideas to makes this more "yandere", I'll take feedback.
Not proofread, may have mistakes.
Yandere! Edward Buck Concept
Pairing: Platonic -> Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Manipulation, Paranoia, Forced retirement, Isolation, Hidden cameras, Implied forced marriage, Delusional behavior, Toxic spouse, Implied forced relationship.
Tumblr media
Buck has quite the record on him.
Even as an ODST he was trained on Reach and took part in many Human/Covenant war events.
Not only that but after he was an ODST he joined the SPARTAN-IV program, becoming a member of Team OSIRIS.
I don't think his behavior changes between being an ODST and a Spartan.
Buck is brave and a natural leader.
Despite this he has also seen many of his fellow marines die in his line of work.
This makes him a bit brash but he still manages to always have a plan ready.
Another thing about Buck is he's stubborn and used to have a bloodlust towards the Covenant for glassing his homeworld.
Overall Buck is a great leader... which makes me think he'd have an obsession with someone on his team.
Perhaps you were part of his ODST team and he often found himself prioritizing you.
Buck's obsession can go two ways.
Maybe he still loves Dare, in that case his obsession with you is platonic.
That would make Buck just see you as a close friend, one he wants to protect.
Then there's is he doesn't hold feelings for Dare anymore, in that case his obsession is romantic.
Now he still wants to protect you... but he also wants to also make you his spouse.
His obsession starts as an ODST with you being part of Alpha-Nine.
Even while training you Buck finds himself impressed by your skill set.
He finds you pleasant to talk to and that's when his obsession takes root.
Despite training on Reach, Buck hasn't gone through Spartan enhancements like Master Chief.
Which makes him fully capable of experiencing the full range of emotions.
Even more than The Rookie also on your team.
Imagine if Buck gets attached to you... then you're separated during the New Mombasa attack.
He's already busy enough trying to piece Alpha-Nine back together.
Now he is slowly trying to come to terms with the fact you're missing.
Meanwhile you're in another area, probably accidentally finding The Rookie in the process.
By the time Buck finishes wiping out Covenant forces he always thinks back to you.
He doesn't want to fail you as a leader....
He doesn't understand how he got so attached to you.
But now here he is, panicking because you aren't in his sight... fearing the worst.
Although, near the end of the Battle of Mombasa, Buck and Dare meet up with you again.
Buck never thought he'd see you again, his obsession growing more once he sees you okay.
He holds himself back from just hugging you or doing something more, focusing on the mission.
But safe to say this is where his obsession really takes root.
For the most part, as most UNSC in Halo would be, Buck is a protective yandere.
He is capable of both platonic and romantic feelings towards you.
It would surprise him if he suddenly felt romantic attraction towards you at first.
He first met Dare, but now he's attached to you.
He catches up with you after the events of the war, definitely.
Especially when you both are assigned to the SPARTAN-IV program.
Before going into rigorous training together you both manage to have casual conversation.
Maybe he keeps it friendly, respecting you as his teammate and perhaps even a best friend.
Or maybe Buck takes his chances, flirting with you and praising you for getting this far.
No matter his intentions, Buck feels responsible for you as your leader.
Even if you both have Spartan training and become Spartans, he never seems to part from you.
Why?
The events of New Mombasa echo in his head.
It reminds him of how easily he could lose you.
Even with energy shields and heavy armor, Spartans aren't invincible.
Buck seems like the type of person to convince you to drop out of the program.
He doesn't necessarily doubt your skills, but he has his fears.
He'd rather you retire from fighting and return to civilian life on an inner colony.
He'll keep fighting to keep you safe, but he just doesn't wish to lose you.
He's not necessarily possessive but does "take claim" to you in a way around others.
Maybe he really does eventually feel his feelings are romantic.
Afterwards he wants to keep you in a home away from all the fighting.
In that case he tries to convince you to not only date him but become his spouse.
Maybe you accept? He's a good guy... right?
He might even rush the relationship a bit.
He just wants to marry you and protect you.
Like a good man should, no?
He hates it when you protest against him.
He is definitely the type to say "This is for your own good."
He will fight with you (verbally) to get you to give up being a Spartan.
Eventually he'll have you settle down somewhere and he'll visit you when he can.
He doesn't want you to cheat on him so he probably has cameras or something to monitor you.
He expects his spouse to be loyal, after all.
He does all this to protect you.
But don't worry! When he visits you he'll smother you in affection.
Sometimes too much affection with the amount he kisses you.
Even becoming a Spartan hasn't affected his drive towards you.
After all, he doesn't have the enhancements/augmentations older SPARTAN-IIs do.
I'm not sure if he'd keep you locked in the home or not.
Theoretically he might and just have food and necessities delivered to you.
Buck definitely calls you as often as he can.
Dare wonders if she's dodged a bullet due to seeing how obsessive Buck is over you.
She even tries to ask Buck about it, making Buck immediately shut her down.
"I'm doing this for their protection, they're happy with me. What are you trying to do, take them from me?"
Buck's obsession starts showing through cracks in his personality.
Poor you barely gets to go outside when he's gone and he calls so often.
Buck gets worried when you don't answer his calls.
If he isn't in the middle of a huge mission, he'll probably even go to check on you.
Eventually Buck leaves Team OSIRIS and reforms Alpha-Nine.
But you don't join.
No, now after the Cortana conflict he stays with you much more often.
The good news is you can go outside now.
The bad news is you no longer have privacy.
Buck isn't a yandere to kill humans.
Not unless they push him.
So for the most part he is like a helicopter spouse, never leaving you alone and smothering you with affection.
After all... he's been away from you for too long...
It's about time you two catch up, right? Isn't that what good spouses should do with each other?

I'm really curious how can you make Rookie from Halo work... So can I ask for a romantic concept for him?
I will be focusing strictly on Rookie from Halo 3: ODST for this. Gotta love obsessive silent protagonist :)
Yandere! Rookie/Jonathan Doherty Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Violence implied, Death mentioned, Injury, Blood, Guns (Halo is an FPS so-), One-sided relationship, Thoughts of forced affection, Dubious relationship.
Tumblr media
Can you really blame The Rookie for becoming so obsessive?
He wakes up in New Mombasa, the rain pouring hard upon his helmet.
His team is scattered, perhaps even dead.
He is left to find out what happened to them in the wet streets of New Mombasa.
Plus, the city is overrun by Covenant troops.
The Rookie may have found you hiding away in New Mombasa.
You're a civilian left behind in this concept, only armed with a pistol.
The Rookie can see the wounds and blood on your clothes/skin when he finds you.
You trust him when you see him, you can tell by his armor he's human.
He's no Spartan, but an ODST is still able to quickly adapt for survival.
He no doubt finds a first aid station nearby and gets to work on patching up your wounds.
Rookie's concern is primarily looking for an extraction point and where the rest of his team could be.
But as he looks at you shivering from the rain and slowly recovering from your wounds, part of him feels like he should keep an eye on you.
This makes the Rookie take you along with him, arming you with a gun you can use.
Despite you being armed he knows you're vulnerable.
He's armored, you aren't.
You both don't have shields, but one well placed shot would do more damage to you than him.
The Rookie encourages you both to travel in shadows.
The city itself is dark and the rain makes it hard to see.
This is used to your advantage.
Over time Rookie notices you open up to him.
He doesn't say much but listens to you when you talk.
Rookie is hard to read what he's thinking... due to the lack of speech and helmet.
I have a feeling ODST Yanderes are more comforting than Spartans as they feel more human.
Although Rookie is a poor example of this since he feels almost... emotionless at times.
However he does show he cares for you still, he isn't too cold.
He takes most of the hits, he listens to you, he acts empathetic.
You can't explain why it feels like he's staring though... might just be the helmet?
In reality... Rookie is staring because he feels attracted.
Another thing that sets Spartan yanderes such as John apart from ODSTs? Romantic attraction.
Rookie has no enhancements that dampen such feelings.
Which means he's still able to feel romantic attraction, like Buck.
Rookie finds himself falling for you, a civilian in his care.
He's determined to help you out of this mess, no matter what it takes.
Rookie is mostly focused on the task at hand.
But occasionally his thoughts wander back to you, thinking of what life with you could entail.
He really shouldn't since the war is still going.
You're a civilian, you should be evacuated like all the rest.
But as you get closer to the extraction point, his grip tightens on you.
He can't bring himself to see you go.
Even when he meets with Buck and Veronica, he is intent on not leaving without you.
Buck definitely teases Rookie, claiming he has a new partner.
Rookie doesn't mind, in fact he thinks of what it would be like to show you affection.
His feelings for you never dissipate.
In fact, even as you fly off with him in a Pelican, he still fantasized about being with you.
Maybe he should've pinned you to a wall in New Mombasa... kissed you... showed how much he adores you...
Rookie wants to find a way to express such feelings... but he isn't sure how.
He has desires but he has to wait for the right time.
He feels eventually you two will end up together.
He doesn't want anyone else to be beside you, after all he saved you.
Who else was supposed to protect you?
Even if he has to pull some strings... spill some blood... or break a few UNSC vows and rules...
Rookie plans to remain your savior, protector, and possible lover... even if you are a civilian.
Overall Yandere Type: Overprotective, Obsessive, Devoted, Deceptive, Delusional, Slightly possessive.

I understand if you can't do this one, but can I ask for a romantic concept of Jameson Locke from Halo? ❤️
I know most people hated him... But I actually didn't mind him? Then again I was like... The only person who liked Halo 5 so-
As usual, Yandere Spartans are so difficult to write without going OOC....
Yandere! Jameson Locke Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Overprotective behavior, Violence, Slight controlling behavior, Manipulation, Lucid yandere, Abuse of power mentioned, Subtle yandere, Dubious relationship.
Tumblr media
I only really know him from Halo 5, but he does have some lore in Nightfall and the books.
I imagine a scenario I could use for this concept if you're part of Team OSIRIS.
Perhaps you've even had history with Locke, either also being part of ONI or being part of the same Spartan training group.
I like to imagine there was background between you two.
Just enough to share some sort of connection that gets progressively worse during Halo 5.
Locke is a natural leader, he focuses on the mission and doesn't allow emotions to get in the way usually.
He cares for his fireteam and inspires loyalty in those under him.
Locke's similar to John in this, however I don't think he's as strong as John.
He's also more emotionally available than John.
Your experience and bond has been proven through countless training sessions and battles.
Even more so when you're with Vale, Tanaka, and Buck.
Your bond seems relatively normal.
You've shared drinks with Locke, you've listened to his every order, and shown great teamwork
Buck may even comment that you two look like you're closer than you are.
Perhaps even dating.
You always shut down Buck when it happens and Locke does too, yet he can't deny he does care about you.
Locke isn't violent unless he needs to be.
His wiki personality says he prefers to negotiate and always seems collected.
He's good when it comes to not allowing emotions to cloud his judgment.
Although, with intense romantic emotions towards you, I can see him faltering just a bit.
When it comes to you he does have a clouded mind.
He knows you can handle yourself.
Although he can't help but worry.
A relationship with a fellow soldier is unprofessional.
It can sabotage the missions and you couldn't be on Team OSIRIS anymore.
Locke would try to keep things professional and not personal.
He is aware of the growing obsession he has over you, although he knows better.
Due to his nature he won't kill any humans around you.
He's a protector of humanity, he'd suck at what he does if he did such a thing.
Along with being labeled a traitor.
So instead he sticks close to you, trying to stay under the label of your leader.
He's capable of having relationships, he and Buck are both Spartan-IVs and Buck canonically is in a relationship.
He's capable of it but is worried about how intense it is.
Locke is a lucid Yandere, he is aware of his darker thoughts and does his best to smother them.
It... doesn't really work, unfortunately.
He definitely tries to use these feelings to protect you as a fellow teammate.
As you can imagine, he only begins to feel worse throughout Halo 5
After all... Remember all the battles Team OSIRIS went through?
The assassination of Jul 'Mdama, The hunt for Blue Team, The Sangheilios Civil War, The hunt for Cortana...
That last one even continues after Team OSIRIS splits up.
Locke, like most Spartans, can usually hold back problematic emotions.
He often looks at you in fondness, even during war.
He wishes he could be beside you normally.
Although even then... He fears he won't be the best option for you.
His behavior is slightly controlling and manipulative.
As your fireteam commander, you naturally trust and listen to him.
Sometimes he finds himself accidentally being a bit too controlling towards you.
He finds himself holding you back out of the fear of losing you.
You aren't just a soldier to him, you're someone he loves.
You may not know it, but he does love you a lot.
Too much, actually, as he begins to learn.
By the end of Halo 5 he still has you on Team OSIRIS.
You two are often with one another and Tanaka on the Infinity.
He isn't really possessive... Just concerned.
If you point out his bad behavior, he tries his best to correct himself.
He may actually be someone you could have a genuine relationship with.
He doesn't force you, not intentionally.
He would wait for you to come to him, even in all of the chaos.
Although without your knowledge he may manipulate you away from other partners.
He's very subtle with his actions.
His controlling behavior is subtle and easily hid behind his rank if he plays his cards right.
Plus, you've been beside each other for a long time already.
He'll wait for you... Even though he should shut down such a thing, he finds himself accepting the offer to date.
He actually acts... Normal.
He's caring yet knows when to be professional.
It feels good to have your lips on his and to feel your touch.
He's craved this since forever.
The most yandere thing I can think of for him is him subtly manipulating a relationship with you.
He tries to excuse himself for his actions when he has you, he never tells you he wanted this outcome for as long as he did.
You look so happy... He's happy... He isn't going to ruin it.
Despite your relationship, he tries to clear his clouded mind.
No matter the threat, he plans to protect you.
If anyone tries to make a move on you, Locke appears with a glare.
He'll have no one ruin this for him.
If anyone wants to challenge that... Then he may indeed get a bit violent.
He just won't be lethal... For the most part.
Blood on his hands, no matter whose it is, doesn't seem that bad if it means a successful mission... And you stay safe.
His feelings may be wrong... But he just doesn't care anymore.
He only cares about you and begins to prioritize you... No matter the cost.
They may label him an insubordinate... They may call him a traitor... Yet when did Locke like the UNSC anyways?

Can you make a Yandere Mickey concept from Halo?
Sure! I watched two lore videos and the ODST cutscenes to remind me of his character. Sorry for the long wait! This draft was problematic when saving so I just hope things save RIGHT.
Edit: Damn I popped OFF on this one-
Yandere Mickey/Michael Crespo Concept
(Contains some info from Halo 3: ODST, Halo: New Blood, Halo: Bad Blood. I think those last two are the right books?)
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Manipulation, Overprotective behavior, Jealousy, Paranoia, Angst, Death, Mental break, Kidnapping, Delusional behavior, Consensual to forced relationship.
Tumblr media
Mickey has an interesting career profile when you really begin to dig into the books.
He was an ODST, then a Spartan, then a traitor, then with his old team yet again.
It would be interesting to see how he responds to a darling through all that.
So let's start with Halo 3 ODST, where we first meet Alpha Nine.
You had spoken with Mickey enough to be on friendly terms.
You had both undergone ODST training and got along with each other.
If you want to make it more tragic, maybe you replace The Rookie.
You had even chatted amicably before being dropped down to New Mombasa.
It all starts with friendship and being teammates.
You were a bit more experienced than him but not by much.
Mickey is described to be a creative daredevil and risk-taker.
He's skilled in explosives and piloting ships.
When it came to you he got along with you along with the rest of Alpha-Nine.
Mickey didn't realize how much he cared about you until after New Mombasa.
You all got separated the moment the Covenant Carrier entered slip space.
This leaves you all to try and find each other and survive on the ground.
Now, as I said before, you can either replace The Rookie or work alongside him.
Mickey is caught up in the battling, not thinking too much about you until he finds Dutch.
When Dutch brings you up along with the rest of the team, Mickey feels a sudden rush of unease.
You two were close... not the closest but enough to the point of Mickey worrying.
Despite such worries, he works alongside Dutch to find the rest of the team.
Meanwhile you either wake up late or end up finding the rest of the team.
Eventually you'll end up reuniting with Mickey and the rest one way or another.
The upsetting part is not much is given on Mickey's personality, but I assume he's easily influenced due to what we see later on.
When he sees you again, he's surprised by how excited he gets.
To the point he ends up freezing, leading to either Buck or Dutch to tease him.
Mickey and you just seem to be happy that the whole team managed to get out of the battle okay.
Romeo was the most injured, but can recover.
Mickey was in charge of piloting the stolen Phantom that picked you all up, yet would not stop talking to you.
You picked up on his worry and even felt flattered.
You admit you were worried about him too, which makes Mickey pause again with a quickly reddening face.
Thankfully his visor was on....
You two continue to work beside one another after this.
Even when tragedy strikes.
Mickey's obsession develops more and more after New Mombasa.
He gets to know you more, maybe even asks you on a date to test things out... He makes his feelings known.
By this point Mickey has known you for two years.
He's trained with you, fought beside you, and even fell for you since New Mombasa.
When the Rebellion on Draco III begins, one of two people can die.
The Rookie, which would be the option closer to Canon.
Or you, the option that would break Mickey but cut his obsession short... sorta.
The second option would be the default if you chose to replace The Rookie.
Seeing his obsession die would break Mickey.
He's in denial, panicking, and can't believe it.
Like in canon he blames himself for not saving you and becomes disillusioned with the UNSC.
He never wanted to fight humans.
Yet here he is... killing rebels and mourning you at your new grave on Draco III.
No matter how much the others try to comfort him, he ignores it.
Which would lead him to become a more deranged traitor later down the line.
But that's where that story ends, the longer option is The Rookie dying like usual.
This gives him all the same feelings as before, except now he still has you.
Although he begins to fear how easy it would be to lose you.
One wrong tactical mistake... and you could die.
He still hates the UNSC but also blames himself for The Rookie's death.
After this comes the events of the SPARTAN-IV program.
You, Buck, Romeo, and Mickey were sent off to get the necessary augmentations to become better soldiers.
Mickey debated on retiring with you to settle down.
By this point you've had quite a few dates and Mickey was thinking of having a family with you and leaving the UNSC.
However, you encouraged him to take the opportunity with you...
Mickey couldn't just leave you alone.
You both become Spartans but Mickey only becomes more disillusioned.
Maybe around this time you end up calling off the relationship.
You're too busy with Spartan training to really commit to Mickey, so with a reluctant look... you tell him you're over.
You may have even left because you felt uneasy about his recent politics.
You try to tell him you still love him, but currently things just won't work out.
Which may only hurt his mental state more.
After this I plan to defect more from canon to make this yandere.
Perhaps there were multiple times Mickey tried to convince you he wanted the best for you.
The break up is messy, Mickey clinging to you in private as he rambles to you.
He tells you the UNSC doesn't care what happens to you, he tells you he just wanted a family with you, he tells you he doesn't want to let you go.
Despite all this, you still push yourself off of him.
While you continue to dedicate yourself to the UNSC, Mickey secretly joins the URF.
Causing a larger rift between you.
I like to imagine on a later mission against the URF, maybe Mickey betrays you away from the rest.
His feelings for you never changed, in fact, they only got stronger.
He can't accept the fact you're more obedient to the UNSC than to him.
So, on a mission Mickey kidnaps you with help from some URF soldiers.
If you have a few soldiers under you, they're either imprisoned or killed.
After all... Mickey just wants to capture you, not anyone else right now.
You curse at him, call him a filthy traitor.
Mickey only gives a saddened smile, holding you down enough to put restraints on you.
This is all just a lover's quarrel.
He tells you he still loves you, always will, and this way... you can stay together.
You're confused with what he means until you're transported to a cell.
You're in URF territory and only glare when Mickey checks in on you.
Mickey soon slips into the cell once you're restrained and embraces you.
He whispers how if you join the URF, you two can be happy.
They already plan to set him up with a private home and can even take you in as his spouse.
Mickey isn't blind to your clear distaste towards him.
He hopes soon you'll forgive him and love him again.
You may view him as a monster and traitor now...
But that won't change the pure adoration he's always felt for you.
"We'll be together just like before... please, baby, you know I need you! I can't live without you... I just want you to never leave me again!"
