No but can we talk about how some of the bullshit body standards put against transmasc people are in part circulated by transmeds, especially white transmeds

It took me years to realize that I was transmasc and half of it was because I lived through the Calvin Garrah era and it was drilled into my head by the internet that because of my own body type (fat and brown with gigantomastia), something that bear in mind I had zero control of that there was no hope for me to transition or be seen as anything other than a woman. And of course most of the transmed bullshit was spread around by skinny white guys who could safely bind and had the resources available to transition. That along with people saying that basically any depiction of a transmasculine character with a bigger chest is fetishizing, completely ignoring the fact that there are transmasculine people with bigger chests irl, fucked up my perception of my body worse than it already was.

Anyways keep making the work you make, seeing art of trans people outside of eurocentric beauty standards makes my day and for every drawing you make a kitten is given a loving home :3

Getting into my confessional to the void of tumblr but probably my biggest surprise when I started keeping up more with yugioh dm this past year was that Kisara is like

A normal sized woman

Idk what it was but my minds eye before seeing her actual appearance always imagined her as tall and slightly terrifying

Then again that could just be my subconscious bias for giant scary women talking idk

In a yuri-oh setting I like to imagine that she always was more on the masc side even as a kid (defo one of those tomboy types that was like "ew girly things gross I'm not like other girls"). But once her and Mokuba were taken in by Gozaburo she had to keep that to herself though it was. Painfully obvious how much she hated all the dresses and skirts she was forced to wear and it only got worse when puberty happened. (There definitely were a lot of "You can't wear those tops it shows your chest too much!" And "You need to look professional how do you expect to be taken seriously if people are staring at your body!" Type of comments thrown her way when she was in her tween years) I also imagine that sometimes she'd just. Sneak glances into Isono or Gozaburo's closets and imagine being able to wear one of those suits without being worried of how that'd affect the company image.

But once Kaiba gets hold of the company I imagine she kept to an ambiguous dress pants and blouse look and it wasn't until she was 16-17 that she decided to get a suit for herself (I like to think that this came about around the same time she realized she might be slightly maybe kinda into girls when she saw a foreign investor's daughter wearing a suit and maybe slightly kinda sorta envied the look and definitely wasn't looking at her in THAT kind of way no siree) and ever since she saw herself in a mirror with a perfectly fitted suit there was no looking back 😎

As for in the future, you'd seldom ever catch her wearing anything other than mens clothes b u t there was a moment where her and yugi had planned to go to an event and yugi had the fun idea of dressing each other in their respective styles and Kaiba ended up in a little black dress with fishnets and platform boots. (She hated every second of it but she reasons to herself that it was worth it both to get the chance to see yugi in a suit and to see how eager she was to see Kaiba strut out of the changing room in a fit that would make any goth-lover swoon, yugi included 😏

I notice that sometimes when I draw genderbend yugioh I'll get a couple comments about how I managed to draw someone's body type and it makes them feel good about themselves to see their favorite character sharing a figure with them

And ngl each time I see that I get really happy :3

How I felt ringing up a girl decked in yugioh gear while I was in my lame ass business casual work fit

My logical brain tells me that canonically kisara's a relatively average height while Priest Seto is 6 feet or whatever

But in my hearts of hearts Kisara is nearing 7 feet and along with the usual canonical shit the other reason Priest Seto struggles with sacrificing her to harness the Blue Eyes is wondering how the fuck he's gonna get the upper hand on this absolute unit of a woman who despite her neutral demeanor could probably twist him into a pretzel

Conversely I like to imagine that the point where the feelings turn mutual is during a match Kaiba manages to get the jump on Yugi and muscles past her and in that moment Yugi realized wow her hands are twice the size of mine and I'm at eye level with her whole chest she really could just throw me around like I was a handful of grapes

And at that point any chance of having productive matches in the future goes down the drain
