12日 月曜日 祝日だったので家族と過ごす。 夜はポッドキャストの収録。 なんとなく喉に違和感があり収録中に咳払いが多い。マンガ「この世界の片隅に」を読んで寝る。 13日 火曜日 朝から10kmくらい走ってから仕事、喉に違和感が続く。 なんとなくだるいので熱を計ってみるが平熱。 午後に長丁場のミーティングがあり喉の違和感が増す。 調べ物をする必要もあるがなかなか集中できない。 もしもの事を考えポッドキャストの編集を早め済ませ、アニメ映画「この世界の片隅に」を見て寝る。 14日 水曜日 体調が悪いので走るのはお休み。 ちょっと遅めに仕事をはじめるも、ミーティング中に倦怠感がひどくなり全然集中できない。 検温しても平熱だけど悪寒がするので横になる。 このあたりで何かしらの感染症を疑いはじめ、隔離と消毒をはじめる。 仕事は無理っぽいのでその旨を各所に連絡し横になる。起きてみると悪寒は無くなっているが関節が痛む。検温すると38.5度。ゼリー飲料と水分を補給してとにかく寝る。 20時頃にカロリーメイトやゼリー飲料、いちご、バナナ、ヨーグルトを食べて寝る。病気になったらとにかく食べられるだけ食べて寝られるだけ寝るという考えを持っている��� 22時半過ぎ、熱は37度台まで下がるが倦怠感があるのでそのまま就寝。戦争の夢を見てうなされる。 15日 木曜日 朝6時。熱は36.5度。目立った症状はないが倦怠感だけは残る。旅の疲れが一気に出たのかと思い、無理はせず休むことに。 11時頃、念の為と抗原検査キットで試験したところ陽性。説明書には15分の様子を見るようにとあったが、1分もしないうちに濃いラインが出たので驚く。 近所の内科医院に連絡して外来へ。抗ウイルス剤(ラゲブリオ)と咳と痰の薬を処方してもらう。 抗ウイルス剤は自己負担で9,000円かかるため、ほぼ症状がない自分には必要ないとも思ったが、体内のウイルス量が減れば家庭内感染のリスクも減るだろうと言う。 仮にこれ以上家に感染者が増えると余裕で9,000円以上の経済的ダメージがあるだろうと考えて、咳や痰を軽減する薬と一緒に処方してもらう。 16日 金曜日 だいぶ回復したので様子を見ながら仕事。 食事も普通に取れる。味覚や嗅覚にも特に異常はない。 17日 土曜日 隔離生活がつづく。 これも養生だと思ってダラダラと過ごす。 しかしあまりに精神的苦痛を感じるのでやむをえず厳重に感染対策をして少し散歩。春の陽気を感じる。 YAPCの日記をようやく書き終えて投稿する。明日は京都マラソンか。 18日 日曜日 午前中は日記のデザインを整えたり、少し仕事をしたり。 積読をパラパラとめくってみるがあまり気分がのらない。 家事もできずに引きこもっているとだんだんと引け目を感じる。 精神的に参ってくるのでやむをえず午後に散歩。 京都マラソンの後片付けを眺める。 19日 月曜日 今日1日を家で過ごせば、5類感染症移行後の「外出を控えることが推奨される期間」が終わる。 以前から楽しみにしていた子供の学校の行事の日だけど、室内の行事であることを考えても今回は参加を見合わせるしかない。とにかくこの行事に参加できないことだけが悲しい。 今回の感染はごくごく軽い症状だけで助かったが、振り返ってみると火曜日に10km走るのやめて早く寝ておけば、もしかして発症を抑え込めたのではないかとばかり考えてしまう。

人生の大半をどうせ仕事が占めるのであれば、どうせなら面白くやったほうが得、そのためにはという話。自分の場合、技術選定は実績があるやつを7,80%、新規で面白そうなのを2,30%ぐらいの配分を意識しています。実績は読めるので爆死しづらいし、新規でよいことは次に取り入れて悪いところは捨てて、を繰り返すことで代謝しつつ前に進めるのでは、という持論でやってます

A study has found DNA evidence of the plague in 4,000-year-old skeletal remains, the oldest evidence of the plague in Britain to date.

The plague – known during an infamous 14th-century outbreak as the “Black Death” – is one of the deadliest diseases in human history. It is caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis and infects many other animal species such as fleas, whose bites are one of the main routes of transmission to humans.

All three cases were found to lack two key genes – yapC and ymt – which are found in later strains of the plague. These genes play an important role in infection transmission via fleas, making it unlikely that this plague strain was spread via this vector.

LTが5分じゃない問題よりも、ハッカソンが商業性を帯びたコンテストの側面が強く認識されるようになってしまったのが悲しく思っているよ。 有志の技術勉強会と同じようなノリで、エンジニアが集まって長時間コードを書くだけの会もハッカソンと呼ばれていた。 YAPCが典型的だけど、YAがYet Anotherの略である通り、USで技術カンファレンス(Perl Conference)が商業的な側面を帯びたことを嫌った人たちが立ち上げた「別の」カンファレンスという、カウンター的な側面があった。日本も多分東京の特異性もあり、そういう草の根の技術勉強会が定着しやすかった ハッカソンが、企業のアピールの場やVCがビジネスの種を見つける場として「発見」された後に、草の根のカウンターカルチャー的な動きがあまりなかったというのがあるんだろうな。 むしろ有志の技術勉強会のノリがちゃんと保たれたまま、大規模な技術イベントが多数開催されるというのは稀有なことなのだろうね。
