Like imagine when Hakki invited Michi over he just send a look to his sister and she nods and like not even a minute later his phone starts ringing and at first he's mad but when he sees who is calling his he literally yells at everybody to shut up and then starts speaking oh so softly into the phone then when he hangs up Taiju looks back at them and explains how their lucky his lovely name needs him and then he's hauling ass towards the house and when the siblings get home they see name lecturing Taiju about how he needs to be a better brother because now he's (Taiju) is acting like how his dad treated him before Taiju saved him. At first the siblings didn't think it'd work until Hakki wakes up early in the morning for some water and there is Taiju laying on the couch and then Taiju just starts apologizing. Talking how he's so sorry he treated them like that and he'll do anything for their forgiveness. You can decide the rest

Hakkai was stressed as he glanced at his sister, the girl nodding much to Takemichis confusion "I'm gonna--- who the fuck is calling...me---EVERYONE SHUT THE HELL UP!" It was late in the evening when Hakkai and Yazuha got home, the siblings carefully putting their shoes away as they creaked past the kitchen "Tai, you can't treat your siblings like this! It's awful! They're your family and you need to treat them better!" Yazuha and Hakkai were...skeptical that anything would come of this as they knew their brother was an emotional boulder.

Though come morning, the sound of food could be heard and the smell of a simple Japanese breakfast woke the two from their sleep.

What surprised them was taiju sitting on the couch looking down, the sound of the last step on the staircase alerting the elder to their presence "sit down" Taiji said gruffly only for a chopstick to be thrown at him from the kitchen "I mean shit-- sit down please" Taiji said feeling the glare from his boyfriend who was aggressively chopping vegetables "I'm sorry... How I was completely unacceptable and (name) made me realize I was being horrible... I am deeply sorry"

Hikaru and Kaoru's favorite subjects and the fact that one is failing something like Foreign Language and the other one is bad at math really makes sense for their characters. It's something that Bisco put a lot of thought into and I appreciate so much of her to a weird extent.

With Hikaru's patience, its almost impossible for him to sit and learn something as complicated as a new language because for people like him he's going to get frustrated so easily for not being good at it, like pronunciation and silent letters. (-Cough- english). Can you imagine him actually studying english? Like trying to learn to spell the word "phone?" Most languages don't have silent letters like that, but I imagine the process for him would be the same. And to me, Hikaru seems like the type who, if he isn't great and immediately picks it up once he tries, he's going to drop it. Practice makes perfect is not in his favor.

So math and neat things like science and chemistry are things that he doesn't necessarily have to constantly work at it to be good at it. He just needs his good memory. His brain is constantly getting that stimulation without him trying that hard. He's thinking about multiple different things one after the other and isn't stuck on one subject and constantly getting frustrated that he can't get it right.

Meanwhile for Kaoru, he's got the patience for subjects like that. He likes Foreign Language and Modern Literature. There's a lot of learning of Culture and it sort of fules his creativity and self expression. Especially if he's able to learn all that fun colorful stuff within different cultures.

So math is going to feel so boring to him, and since it's boring it's hard for him to grasp it. Numbers very literally hurt his brain and feels so draining. He's the type who would fall asleep in math class if he wasn't already too busy doodling all over his homework.

He'll listen though. And take notes. Like, he didn't get on the honor roll for doing nothing. But he's still going to go home with a stack of homework, whining, saying he still doesn't understand what any of it means.

I can imagine them as toddlers in preschool. Hikaru picks up his numbers a lot faster than Kaoru but Kaoru starts off with a bigger vocabulary and can pronounce words better than him.

Hikaru was definitely the type of little kid who would get so mad when adults couldn't understand what he was saying. But is running around, counting all the way up to 50 or some shit.

While Kaoru can actually say "Mommy."

But poor Hikaru can only say "Mummy."

And Yazuha is the type of Mom who wouldn't try to correct him because she likes to make fun of 3 year olds.

Imagine: I can see the twin's aunt (Hayato's sister) being very critical of his and Yazuha's ways of parenting. Especially Yazuha's and is constantly criticizing her so much that Yazuha starts to feel self conscious about it until Hayato gets fed up and calls her out on it-

I really can't stop thinking about the twins being Ageha's sole care takers and parental figures for the first couple of main milestones throughout her childhood. As much as I'd love that Yazuha and Hayato retire early, they probably wouldn't, so that means her older brothers, who were in their fun 20s when she was born, voluntarily take up that responsibility and involuntarily turn into stupidly responsible versions of themselves immediately afterwards.

Like, can you imagine the twins going on dates and they have to leave early because they have to "put the baby down for her nap" and they probably wouldn't get any call back from their dates and they have no idea why

Or them being 22 and hanging out with their friends. And one guy suggest they go to the club or something but the twins say they can't go because " the baby has ballet at 4"

So we don't actually know how old Yazuha and (haha) Hayato is, but Kazuha was 45 when the twins were five which means Yazuha had to have been 19-20 when the twins were born. SO Yazuha and Hayato must have been like,, College Sweethearts or somethin. (They weren't an arranged marriage. Because Hayato wasn't from a well-known family - which is why he was given Yazuha's sur-name)

Unfortunately there's not a lot on the moms of the Host club members 😩💔 besides Kotoko & Yazuha

Mitsukuni and Yasuchika definitely have one and it's mentioned that she often buys them cake. And Mori definitely has one but there aren't any traces of her besides that one time it was mentioned that Mori was showing her and his dad around the campus during the fair.

And while Kyoya has one, I assume she's a pretty successful business magnate, working alongside Yoshio. But I've always kind of imagined Kyoya's mom died when he was really young and Yoshio remarried for social standing purposes.
