I self ship with Beckman because I love his calm demeanor and my overly emotional ass needs someone like that. I feel like if I was over stressing about something he would just let me vent and wait for me to finish before asking if I needed his help or any advice. I need him to shut me down with just a look if I was being too bratty to him one day, like vaguely threatening but more of a "check yourself" look. I need the comfort that comes with his wisdom because he's an older guy but he's not arrogant about it and likes when I teach him a thing or two. He's the kinda guy who would be up for anything with you like you ask him to go grocery shopping and he's just like "yeah sure." He seems like such a stable guy too like once you got him, you got him. He's too old to play immature games so he's just straight forward all the time and he's so big and BEEFY. There's always a seat for you around him because it's his lap. Most comfortable seat in the house besides his face. And I really need to be in his arms and him tell me he's proud of me oml 💕💕

And you're so right - I mean, for one, this man keep SHANKS in check, you're easy peasy comparatively, so you never really have to worry about *truly* stressing him out. All his grey is coming from his captain, trust me xD

And oh man, he is 100% Retirement Blorbo Material™ - older, calmer, ready to just settle down in a cabin by the sea. Sure he loved the pirating days, but honestly, keeping a little garden in the back and helping you can foods for the winter is just plain nice. You've had a lot of loud moments, and the peace and quiet is well-earned.

Don't misunderstand, he'd be back out on the high seas in a SECOND if there was a need for it. But coffee and eggs in the morning, your sleepy greeting in one of his shirts as you mumble your way into the dining room. He wouldn't trade it for all the world.
