A little bit of character design. ;) For a comic! That may never leave the brain.
#kifuart#digital art#artists on tumblr#yknow this is supposed to be 'unicorn' for the world#but i didn't want to do a unicorn unicorn so i went with DEER#and then deer antlers weren't right#and technically this species is a ... well a grim reaper really#a shepherd of the souls of equines that die#so i went with ram horns on a whim#i'm not entirely sure if that'll stick or if i'll go something more along the lines of axis horns#because i did very very loosely run with axis-type spots#i WAS also gonna go with my type of unicorn tail y'know?#but i ended up going the mule route and i'm very quite pleased with the turnout#yeah so i've been meaning to draw this for over ayear but it only itched enough for me to scratch it briefly today#still needs a lot work#but i also need to come up with a style that i can continuously do in comic form#should ie ver get to this comic#heh#definitely digging the deer base for this creature though#i'm glad - now that it's on paper - that i didn't go equine#equine-type face for sure#even though i stuck with a deer-type ear
