Dirsek Bükü COORDINATES:36°41.2N - 27°58.8E Dirsek Bükü (Ağıl Bükü) lies on the south of the point; Ağıl Burnu. It indents to the west and makes L shape. This bay provides the best sheltering among the coves on the SW coast of Hisarönü Bay. There is no road access. To access this spot, you must sail into the bay. Dirsek Bükü is a timeless place to anchor and stay overnight. It’s a place that preserves your energy if not replenishes it. The peace, the quiet, the breathtaking scenery and clear waters is ultimately alluring. It gets swell penetration from the strong northerlies. The bottom is sand. Good anchor holding. There is a tiny, local restaurant with a stone pier along the shorefront to tie up, stern in. There are laid moorings tailed on quay. Boats can be pushed off or anchored with a line ashore. Fishing boats berth on the southern part of the bay. The restaurant provides good food and service under attractive settings. The water is so clear to recognize the bottom. Dirsek Bükü is one the enchanted places in Hisarönü, the prevailing wind has a welcome cooling effect in summer. Dirsek buku is a deep inlet type bay on a cape between the Gulf of Hisaronu and Gulf of Yesilova. It is a common stop or the boats on blue voyage between Marmaris and Bodrum. Dirsekbükü is a local taste of a fishing village you will savor while you meet fishing boats and local ladies making bread on this sheltered, crystal water. A wonderful bay with crystal clear waters and lots of mooring options. You can drop an anchor and take a shoreline to the beach for a totally chilled out evening, pick up a mooring buoy and row ashore for dinner or moor on the pretty restaurant jetty. Çiftlik Bay COORDINATES36°42'56.68" N - 28°14'27.93" E CHART NO311-3121 E Çiftlik A large bay on north of Çiftlik Adası. There are sufficient depths on both passages. The bottom is weed-sand. There are two anchorages in the harbour. The protected part is the northwest. Anchoring is possible here in 7-10m. Also anchoring on the west side is possible. The slopes are covered by pine and olive trees. Çiftlik Koyu provides sheltering from breeze, but it is open to south. When it is south, swells comes into the bay and makes it hard staying on jetties. Breeze blows down from valley behind. There are gusts in the bay. There are number of jetties of the restaurants. There are laid moorings tailed on jetties. Water and electricity connections are available. Provisons can be found from the grocery shops. Wireless connections are provided from the reastaurants. Regular minibus services are available to Bayır (7 km) and Marmaris (35 km). The history of the bay dates back to 1200 BC. It was home to many civilizations. Çiftlik welcomes thousands of visitors every year with its blue flagged azure sea and sandy beaches. The bay, which is crowded during the day, starts to calm down in the evening hours. Evening hour arrivals are best. The bay is one of the rare, peaceful, natural holiday resorts. Scuba diving a good activity. The colour of the sea and its underwater world will give you a magnificent experience when you dive. Bozukkale Bay COORDINATES : 36°34.3’ N - 28° 09.3’ E Bozukkale is a large bay, with three restaurants and docks, not far from Karaburun Cape, two miles NE. Lying between points; Kale Burnu and Değirmen Burnu. The walls of the ancient city of Loryma surround the bay. The bay indents in a NW direction for about 0.8 M. There are considerable depths in the middle. Enough room for a comfortable anchoring. A comfortable anchoring in one of the two coves at the bottom of the bay, 8-15 meter depth. In two not very deep 5-8 meter coves in the central part of the W side of the bay, and in the cove adjacent to the first restaurant from the entrance into the bay and from the fortress, east side. It is possible and even preferable to throw a mooring line ashore. The bottom is sand-weed. A good shelter from winds, from the meltemi, in particular. The most protected from all winds is the cove adjacent to the first from the fortress restaurant. During strong winds there may be a swell in the bay. You can go to restaurants and pick up laid moorings tailed to the piers. You can moor if you are taking meal at the restaurants. All the restaurants serve fresh fish, calamari, and traditional Turkish appetizers. They produce their own electricty and they bake bread in the morning and you may also have local breakfast which contains wide variety of foods. The water is cool and so clean. A rough path goes up to the castle and it is worth making the hike for the view in early morning or late afternoons and seeing impressive defensive walls which are cubic chipped stone blocks without mortar. At the North port of the bay, you can head to explore the ruins of the antique settlement of Loryma, its ruins spread nearby on the slope of the mountain .
