[ lee hyunjae ] ꕤ crazy

a banging sound echoes throughout the room, catching the attention of curious students eager for drama. with his eyes round like marbles, hyunjae innocently observed the young girl in front of him : kim yeola, or in other words, his recent girlfriend. tears of anger ran down her porcelain cheeks, observing with the greatest contempt the student in front of her. whispers here and there were heard in the corridors, rumors circulating about the present situation. everyone was wondering : why the most popular boy in school, had just been slapped for free in the middle of the crowded hallways? no one had the answer yet, impatiently waiting for a turnaround.

« did you suddenly lose your tongue, lee jaehyun? » — yeola's crackling, venom-filled voice once again attracted attention, causing the principal concerned to frown. it was in vain he tortured his mind by recounting everything he has done in recent days, nothing bad or compelling seemed to come. yeola's fists slammed into his chest hard, hitting it repeatedly without the young man saying or doing anything to stop her, until she snapped angrily her fingers at the collar of his school uniform.

the atmosphere seemed to be tense, stopping any comments coming from the overly curious students : gathering her courage, yeola looked up at hyub, piercing his soul with her gun eyes. « oh, maybe you forgot it in that tennis girl player's mouth, uh? or maybe between her thighs? » — hyunjae didn't know what to say, except to repeat over and over again that he had done no such thing. and he was telling the truth : he was probably the most faithful man the planet has ever known. new offended whispers went around the school, words full of judgment and slander ricocheting in every ear, to tarnish together the reputation of an innocent young man.

all of sudden, the school bell woke up all the students who rapidly remembered why they were in school in the first place. yeola slowly let go of the shirt to which she had previously hung all her hopes, throwing a pathetic look at the one she thought she loved and knew : « you disgust me. » — she finally spat in hyunjae's face, who didn't even try to hold her back, far too shocked by the false accusations that were leveled at him.

a mocking laugh you'd held back for far too long finally escaped your lips, finally coming out of your hiding place sarcastically applauding the protagonist of your life. innocently walking near him, hyunjae finally spun towards you, tears brimming over his eyes and his hands shaking with anger. his black and questioning gaze settled on your playful silhouette, ignoring the amused smile that hovered over your face. « congratulations for your demonstrative break-up, mister i-stuff-my-tongue-everywhere. » — the sound of your voice gave him an inexplicable shudder of disgust, feeling his heartbeat suddenly quicken. obviously, you had waited for the moment when no one but you two was in the corridors, to reveal yourself in broad daylight. « it.. it was you again, right? » — in a trembling and annoyed voice, hyunjae finally spoke up, bringing a crooked smile he knew all too well to your face.

lee jaehyun once had a special place in your heart : he was probably the person you love the most in the world. one day it was you, who cooing with him in the hallways, you guys were the couple everyone idolized and admired. not a day goes by without people talking about you everywhere, attracting all eyes towards your two silhouettes, every minute of the day. but all good things come to an end, as they say. that day, the day hyunjae broke up with you — for various reasons, one of them being him, no longer having romantic feelings for you — broke something inside you : your heart was now unable to feel anything else than perpetual anger.

since that day, you feel like everything is dark around you, as if no source of light or heat could wait for you, you shed so many tears for a boy who really never cared about you. but it was stronger than you : every time you passed by him in the hallways, your heart would start pounding again, awakening each of your feelings buried deep inside you. hyunjae remained your source of light, the very essence of your life, and you hated him as much as you loved him for it. he made you a walking mess that nothing could stop, with a heart broken beyond repair and thirsty for revenge.

so yes, you were the one who started the rumors about hyunjae's infidelities, letting your false but sharp words reach the ears of the new occupant of his heart. « oh my love, i'm offended that you would think such a thing of me. » — your fake saddened face made the boy in front of you laugh with pity, nervously running his delicate fingers through his already tangled locks. he really couldn't stand your madness anymore, his life had become nightmarish since the first time your eyes met his. « you are completely crazy, you know that y/n? » his hands grabbed your shoulders, bringing your innocent face tortured by hate, closer to his, « you really need to see a specialist. »

seeing the damage of your stratagem, was without a doubt the most rewarding reward. your eyes wandered for a few seconds on hyunjae's facial features : his dilated pupils clearly showed an enormous frustration, his jerky breathing betrayed any form of anger control, and the firmness of the grip of his hands around your shoulders, let you see that a monstrous form of hatred towards you was beginning to animate him. to create such a satisfying reaction, you had to be strategic : you obviously let him enjoy his happiness for a few days, admiring from afar his loving smiles and languorous looks, before crushing him to make him suffer more, and more, and more. there is nothing more hurtful than seeing your precious diamond, stolen from you in a gust of wind.

dancing your fingers over hyunjae's shoulder, finally reaching his cheek, a smile far too provocative for his taste was born from your demonic lips. hoisting you up on your tiptoes, bringing your face dangerously close to his, you averted your gaze from his for a few seconds to sneak close to his ear : « if i can't have you, » your voice in a whisper froze him cold, the tips of his hands on your shoulders, now become shaky, « no one else can. »

and a new dull noise was heard in this deserted corridor, the one of your body coming into contact with the ground, pushed by the person you kept cherishing. « leave me the fuck alone, you fucking freak. » — his harsh voice caused you to scoff, in the face of such an inauthority from a man. you sighed slightly before quickly coming back to your senses, as you shake your hands together.

« listen to me well, jaehyun. » — once again staring into his frightened eyes, you got up slowly, wiping the dust from your schoolgirl skirt with a sigh. sliding your arms behind your back like the perfect image of the wise little girl, you suddenly lost the smile that made your face so naturally playful. « i will never, ever, give you a moment’s peace. » — your serious and frightening voice made his blood run cold, causing him to walk backwards to get away from you and the hysterical laughter that suddenly left your lips because of his cowardice.

in the end, hyunjae was right on one point : you were crazy.
