YAAAAAAY I WAS HOPING SOMEONE WOULD ASK THIS to be honest it's changing pretty constantly so i can like. list what my top 5 are at the moment but know that in like a month it'll probably be different

5. ferry! they're like literally the only english producer i completely like in all honesty, the others all have like maybe one or two songs i enjoy but i'm not necessarily a FAN of them... also this was a tough placement to decide since there's a lot of producers i'm very on-and-off with but i think of all those ones ferry's the one i've listened to the most lately? it's so cool how much their work has improved over the years, you can really hear it when you compare their old and new works. the parties are for losers series is really engaging and every song in it is catchy...my favourite from them is always gonna be faulty feline philosophy though, it's really good!

4. syudou! i've been getting really into his stuff lately...i was hesitant at first since a lot of his songs seem a bit too. edgy for my tastes, but MAN it all hits so hard...i LOOOOVE his tuning and his use of piano in things!! the stuff he's done for ado rules too. bitter choco decoration is definitely my number one from him forever, it's SOOO good on every level. rabu ka? is my current second favourite, and if you count the stuff he's made ado i also really like gira gira! cute girlfriend gets an honourable mention too

3. surii / 3! yes this placement was semi-intentional. i'll be honest and say that i'm only really familiar with his three super popular songs (infinitely gray, telecaster b-boy, junky night town orchestra) but GODDDD i love all three of those songs so much for different reasons and have been listening to them so much lately...they're all so unique from each other in terms of tone and style while still all being very clearly His and they're all just SO catchy i love it

2. hachiya nanashi! i only discovered his works recently but he hit my sweet spot like instantly...it's such a shame he also retired recently though SOBS...but i think i mentioned in the mv question i got before that i LOOOOVE happy shape and shabon's mvs, and that love extends to them as songs as well! jitterbug is also good, i think that one's his most popular work and it definitely deserves that.

1. niru kajitsu! this is probably the only one that remains unchanging LMAO i love literally everything by this guy to death and i get so excited whenever i see him release a new song, i think he's like the only producer i actually have notifications on for on youtube. traffic jam is legendary, and ironina only just came out but it's already become one of my favourite songs ever. yesman also deserves an honourable mention as a collab between him and hachiya which is like the DREAM....i just LOVE his style of music and the multi-layered stories he tells through his mvs, it's all just so. (chefs kiss)

I've got a few others but they involve my real name so psh it's just Planets I guess, though people have called me Plant (misread the name), Sand (again misread the name) or Magic tho rarely

Aesthetics: Plants, specifically succulents! I even follow a few plant studio instas cause they are good!!! Eerie photos, whether they're modelled, drawn, or just really old pictures from the olden times. Fungus and roots, I hate the former but I also find it interesting??? Symmetrical designs also give me the uwus a lot and ooooh I love water as an aesthetic and a feeling??? Hard to explain but there's something about water that gives me all the feelings! I get these feelings too when I look at the sky like idk it feels sad but also somehow reassuring to me hmm
