This is an open letter for those judgemental human beings around us. Why the hell I have choose a Muslim while I am a Catholic?

I was born, raised and been a devoted Catholic servant since I was a child. I used to join different ministries, joined prayer meetings and even attend The Feast at SM Bicutan. But, the most effective way of how you worship, believe God isn’t measured by all of these. It was measured by how you respect and trust God that by His grace, you will definitely surpass every trials or any circumstances you might face on your way. It is by how you walk with Him, how you treat people around you.

You want me to be as closed-minded as you are? You want me to generalize people whom I met just like what you are doing? I’ll give it to you!

When I was in 2nd year college, I fell in love with my suitor, a born-again Christian. All of a sudden, it just doesn’t work. I don’t remember about it anymore, why that doesn’t work. After that, when I was in 3rd year, I was courted by an INC. I trusted everything he told me. A young immature girl trusted a boy who isn’t responsible enough to stand to what he is telling. This INC had flirted with another girlS (Yes, 3 girls to be exact including me). I had found it out on our 3rd month, walked out on me after forgiving him just because I still want to spend time with him. Enough time for me to really believe that he is sorry. He had broke the heart of a girl who trusts all the time. He broke me, all of me. When I was busy fixing myself, I found a good friend (a friend of mine in highschool), a Catholic – with a secret task to take advantage of my weakness. He used to give advise to me, telling that I will definitely moved on and found the right one. I also give him advise about the situation he is involved in (He’s making a story, just found out everything when I am talking with his ex girlfriend). How gullible of me, right? And then, there’s this last day we met that really broke my heart for the second time because I thought I found a friend who will not judge me. He invited me for a dinner (told me that we will be with his friends at work, including our other classmate that used to be one of the girls that her gf is confronting because of jealousy). In shock, I really smell something fishy when I am just with him in their boarding house. I felt bad that time cause I can feel that he is planning something. And it’s right. He’s planning to kiss me and I know, do something as he wanted me to join him to sit on the bed. I’m just so thankful that God saved me. God’s plan is really the BEST than that bastard’s plan. His friends just got in and shocked when he’s near me. After that, I just ran without hesitation. Thank God. indeed.

After that, the old me is back. A man-hater girl.

In 4th year, there’s this fixed man, a Muslim guy (his heart was also broked by someone) who had literally being vocal to his friends, which used to be my friends too, that he had a crush on me. Exactly on my 20th Birthday, also our department’s acquaintance party, he was formally introduced to me by our common friend. He was fine, a smiling person and a jolly one. After I got home, an unknown number prompted a message. My other friend who had a crush on me texted me with the Muslim guy’s number. I replied to that number, and he replied too, I found out that it is his number and requesting if he can save my number. I am open for a friendship that time. I thought he is just a friend until the time comes that everyone who knows both of us are teasing me that he may be the one. He is good, really a good man said by everyone. And I just say, oooookay. Until the time that he confessed that he feels we were already in a relationship because were really both updating each other and really in good terms on some things. I just thought I just want to be his friend until what ifs existed at the back of my mind. What if he change and be confused of our status. We were good friends in 3 months and I think it’s not bad to take a chance on US. Not thinking that it might be complicated for both of us because of our religion. 1yr, 2yrs, 3yrs had passed. Showing him everything. A sweet. moody, and the worst side of me, literally every angle of me. Time comes that I’m always arguing with him about our difference of beliefs, his attitude when I felt bad about him (he’s silent and not fighting back to me, his maturity to be exact), his every negative sides. What he did is to take every bad things I am telling him away and be as the best partner to me because he knows what I’ve been through and how broken I am when he found me. He loved me the best way he can. He fixed and still fixing the trust issues I had. He makes me feel like I’m the luckiest princess and the only one. Those days even exist when I told him, he’s just like that INC, telling and accusing him that he had another girl in his work when in fact, everyone knows that he had a girlfriend and it was me. What he did? Made me realize that even he is a Muslim, and that even he’s just silent when I am arguing with him, these things won’t slip in his mind and heart, he is not the man I am accusing him. He is not the man, I am afraid to have for the second time. He is the man that his parents wanted him to be – a respectful and a loving one.

As what he is always telling me. –Alam ko mahina utak ko, kaya nga puso pinapairal ko eh (sa bawat desisyon ko)–

…And there it is, you want me not to be open-minded as you are? You accused him because he is a Muslim. “Masasama mga muslim.”, “Mabaho mga muslim.”, “Di mo makakasundo pamilya niyan!”, “Babaero mga muslim!” and every negative things about the one’s you met. Bakit? Dahil may kilala kayong muslim na ganian, nilahat niyo naman ata masyado!

Ako din, may kilala ako'ng INC na babaero not just one, many of them. Did I even say, lahat ng INC babaero, makakati, or not srick to one? May kilala ako'ng Catholic na malibog, adik, may putok, mabisyo. Did I say na lahat ng Catholic ay ganian or ganito at chismoso o chismosa? May kilala nga din ako'ng Christian na palamura at sobrang sama na ugali pero pagdating sa church nila akala mo kung sinong banal e, nilahat ko na ba sila?

Pero guys, hindi yan sa religion or sa panlabas na anyo, nasa attitude yan! Kung paano kayo pakitunguhan, irespeto at itrato ng mabuti. It is how he is valuing his principles and how they love their family’s values. It is how you will trust God that he is giving you the best one. Kung hindi sya para sakin, edi hindi. Atleast, I will have learnings and maturity in the end. Bata pa ako, kung hindi sya para sakin, makakahanap pa ako, in God’s perfect time. Pero sana wag niyo pangunahan ang perfect time Niya, kami nga di namin pinapangunahan e.

What is important now is that we (The Muslim guy and I) are respecting and trusting each other inspite of our differences. Wala kaming inaapakang tao PERIOD!

Naiintindihan ko naman po na concern kayo, pero yung iba kasi sadyang gusto lang makiusisa e. Ayan, naiexplain ko na bes. Nawa'y wala na akong marinig na kanegahan pa na mula sa inyo.

I purchased a townhome in March of 2013 for $183k in Florida. It is in a 200-unit subdivision that just completed all construction and sold out all last remaining units a few months ago. When I signed up for home insurance, the insurance company set my dwelling coverage to $183k. I told them that it isn't accurate for them to base dwelling coverage on market price because the replacement cost must be lower since market price includes land and profits the builder makes. Long story short, they convinced me to stay at $183 because they said costs were rising and so forth. I decided not to fight it. Fast forward to this year, and now they are proposing to increase the dwelling coverage to $203k (11% increase). Funny thing is that for my exact townhome model, about 20 units were sold in the last year with prices averaging in the upper $180s (slightly above what I paid). I called the insurance company to let them have a piece of my mind, and they told me they use an independent 3rd party company to price the replacement costs. I told them it's BS because it's way above average market price and replacement costs is always below market price. They asked me to send them documents from when I purchased the home that details the construction materials used and upgrades so that they can reevaluate the dwelling coverage. My question is, why is the burden of proof on me to prove to the insurance company that dwelling coverage should be lowered? Why can't they just reduce it to what I tell them to reduce it to? After all, I am the customer who pays for the insurance. If my house is ever destroyed and I underinsured, that's my problem not theirs. I just find it strange that I'm paying for an insurance service and the insurance company decides what the replacement cost is, not me. Even though it doesn't affect them.""

What the steps to take if someone doesn't want to use car insurance to pay for accident?

I live in California. What is the difference between HMO vs PPO? Meaning there cost and coverage. I know that HMO has a very small selection of Dentists and PPO means you can pick from a larger selection, but I am asking about costy and coverage. Upon first glance, it seemed like this could actually have been a better deal then anything offered through my firm. The conversation on the websites touted these plans, often with premiums of $7 to $20 per month, to be better than conventional dental insurance in every imaginable way. No issues in applying, no maximums, no deductibles, and no waiting. So, I am sitting here, reading how in EVERY possible way this is better than insurance, and it strikes me. If something seems to good to be true, maybe it is. If these were so much better than conventional insurance, why did my firm have so much trouble finding affordable insurance; they should have simply joined one of these discount programs. Well, the site even attached me to an independent article which BASHED the conventional insurance...Then it struck me...If I was a dentist, would I be happy joining these discount plans and basically getting 50% to 75% less for my services. Yeah Yeah, I am getting my payment up front and not waiting for the insurance to pay me (again, playing the role of the dentist), but is that worth the tremendously discounted amount (does not make sense when you compare the time value of money). So, I realized that if I were a dentist, I would not want anything to do with these plans...Or would I? Does being a part of these discount programs really bring in enough clients to justify that deep a cut in the fee schedule. Then I started to think...Is it possible that there is something up with these deeply discounted fee schedules I keep seeing on these sites? Hi, Me and my fiancee currently own and insure a Rover 25, V reg, 1.4 ltr, through Quinn. I'm the main driver and she's a named driver. We currently pay about 400 for tpf&t for the policy, and this has been roughly the price since we started the policy about 2 1/2 years ago. We're now looking at getting a second car as we will be working in different areas. My Grandma offered me her old Nissan Micra (1.3 ltr, K-reg) for us to have. I phoned up Quinn to get a quote for this car and they quoted 2,020!! I can't understand why it's so much more expensive, it's ridiculous! The lady I spoke to couldn't give me any adequate explanation of why it was so expensive, though she mentioned that we wouldn't be able to use a NCB on it as it would have to be an entirely new policy. But we took our first car policy with no NCB and that was a fraction of the price. Apparently the micra is called a Super-S or something, though it is not suped up or a fancy model or anything. Could that be it? We've tried a few other insurers and they also give expensive quotes (1000+) though not as ridiculous as Quinn. Any ideas why it would be so expensive? What could we change to try to make it cheaper? Change each car to have one named driver ony? Try a different car? Find a multicar insurer?
