Olivia's daughter (No Noah) gets these really bad migraines and it always kills olivia too see her baby in such pain.
The day started like any other day of the week. Your mother woke you up shortly before she pushed herself out the door and disappeared to the precinct, not without properly saying goodbye to you with a quick kiss on your temple and a big side hug.
Your breakfast and a cup of your favorite tea already waited for you on the kitchen counter, your mother always making sure that you didn't go to school without something in your stomach.
After you've eaten everything and carefully put your plate in the dishwasher, you freshened up and were also out of the house.
But this status didn't last long. Already in the third lesson your head began to pound like crazy and the throbbing in your temples was worse than the math exam you wrote in the seventh grade.
You tried to be at school for at least three more hours and get through it, until the whiteboard with the written tests on it were no longer clearly visible. You blinked - a blind spot had appeared on the left eye and it was persistent. Then gradually a flicker spread over your whole eye - circular, like waves on which sunlight was reflected. Seeing clearly was no longer possible for you and the pain was just too intrusive, you were dizzy with each sudden move.
Without further ado, you asked your teacher, who already knew your situation, whether you could go home and he knew immediately.  He had your best friend take you to the hospital wing and called your mother to come and pick you up.
It had happened several times before that headaches did not just remain headaches but turned into somewhat more severe and long-lasting problems. Of course after several times your mother had to come pick you up, she became concerned that it might be more than just simple pain and dragged you to the doctor, but all tests, including and MRI, were without results.
Your neurologist diagnosed you with migraines and administered medication to you, but triptans only helped you for a short time and the effect of this acute therapy was then useless after a few moths. You also tried syringes that helped, but were simply too expensive for the long run and you gave it up.
While you were lying on the stretcher and waited for your mother to come to take you home, you put your arm over your face to block the light. Now the brightness was also a point that turned the stitched on your entire forehead into a thunderstorm.
Not long later, there was a knock on the door and Olivia walked to you.
You noticed that it was her by her gait and by the favorite scent she wore that made you feel pressure in your head. Her hand lay gently on your hand that you placed on your stomach before and showed you that it was her.
"Hey, sweetheart, how are you feeling?" she whispered so as not to cause you more pain. She knew that if you were lying down and didn't even hesitate to speak, you had to be pretty bad.
She quickly pulled your bag up from the floor over her shoulder and held out a hand to you. "Take my hand, we are going home."
The whole trip you didn't say a word, even the noise of the car made your life hell. You hated the fact that the music wasn't on, car rides without it were boring and almost unbearable but in that moment you were grateful that your mom thought ahead and turned it off.
When you got home, you slipped off your overcoat and shoes and made your way to the couch while your mother closed all the blinds and only left a few candles lit. She wanted to make it as dark for you as it could only be in broad daylight so that your headache would at least disappear a little.
She paused in the kitchen while making you a tea and looked over at you. The way you lay there, completely exhausted with your nerves and possibly annoyed by the fact, that you had to live like this, made her heart break. So much pain that you had to endure and she couldn't help but watch you suffer. Every time she knew you were bad, she felt bad too and her heart felt like it was a pin cushion being punctured with thousands of tiny needles at once.
With the warm tea, a small bottle of water and some strong pain relievers, she walked over to you and tried to sit in the open space next to you. "Baby, get up and take the pills, please."
You took a deep breath and tossed her an annoyed sigh before slowly sitting up, choking down the pills all at once and clinging to her. Even if it was too dark to see anything, she could tell from your sobs that you were crying.
Even she couldn't keep the quiet tears from running down. She had to find something that would take this disease away from you and let you be the person she had adopted. Happy, who wanted to live. Because lately, you haven't been like that. You were the opposite.
She hugged you tightly and took you on her lap without further ado. She flipped her shoes off her feet and tried slowly and with feeling to lie down with you again.
"Come here my beautiful, sweet soul."
Your head on her chest, the calm and warmth that she radiated, the caressing and the tender kisses that she spread over your hair and the love that she was sharing with you in this moment were stronger than the current pain. You hugged yourself tightly to her before the tiredness surrounded you and brought you to sleep.

Your head hurts from where you’ve been crying basically non-stop for almost three days. Dean hasn’t called or even text you and you can’t even bring yourself to lift your head up from the pillow. Things were going so well between the both of you. Where did it all go flying off of the tracks? How did you go from being so happy that your face hurt, to being so sad that your heart hurts?
One thing you do know is that you love him. Sure, you’ve already said it and yes you meant it then. But it is definitely set in stone now. There’s no way that you’re getting over this man. Even if you never speak to him anymore. That’s why it hurts as bad as it does.
“(Y/N)?” your mom says as she slowly opens up your bedroom door. “You need anything?”
“No,” you choke out. Your voice is scratchy from where you haven’t used it in days.
“At least I got a spoken answer out of you and not only a head movement,” she says as she opens up the door a bit more and walks over towards your bed. “Dean called.”
You look up at her and you swallow hard. “He did?”
“Yeah,” she answers.
“Why didn’t he call me?”
“He said that he didn’t know if you’d pick up or not,” your mom tells you. “He said to tell you that he will be here in about an hour.”
“Mom, I…”
“He wants to talk to you about something.”
“I told him that unless it was the truth to leave me alone because I don’t want to hear it.”
“So, you lied.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“I think that you lied,” your mom tells you. “Because you don’t tell a boy that you never want to see him and then lock yourself up in your room and cry for three days when you finally get your wish.”
“Please leave me alone.”
“Dean might be wanting to talk to you because he wants to be honest with you.”
“I doubt it.”
“(Y/N),” she sighs. “I know that you’re hurting in more ways than one right now but you should give Dean the benefit of the doubt.”
You sigh as you slowly sit up in bed. “Fine,” you tell her. “I will hear what he has to say.”
“Okay,” she smiles. “Take your time to freshen up and dress nice.”
You roll your eyes. “Why?”
“Because I think that he wants to take you somewhere.”
“I said that I’d talk to him. I never said that I’d go on a date with him.”
“(Y/N), you’re my daughter and I love you but you are nuts if you let him go,” she tells you. “I know you love him.”
“Yeah, but, Mom, he’s keeping secrets from me.”
“And maybe you’re keeping some from him but you can’t remember,” she tells you. “(Y/N), I’m proud of the fact that you want to protect yourself, but trust me, you’re safe letting Dean in.”
“How do you know?”
“Because I’m your mother and I have a sense about these things,” she smiles. “Seriously though, sweetie, Dean’s one of the good guys and I know that because of how he treats my daughter.”
You sniff and you nod your head a bit at her. “I do know that he loves me and he has been so patient with me. I know that I should do the same for him and I’m trying but it is so difficult.”
“I know,” she says softly. “I know that it isn’t easy for you but do you honestly think that it’s been easy for Dean?”
“No,” you swallow hard. “I guess that the least I could do is to give him a chance.”
“There you go,” your mom smiles as she stands up off of your bed. “I’ll let you be so that you can get dressed and everything.” She walks on out of your room and it takes everything in you to not lay down once more when she shuts the door.
Sighing, you slowly get up off the bed and you walk over to the bathroom. Honestly, you’re a little bit excited that you’re going to get to see Dean today, but there’s also a part of you that still wants to protect yourself with him. When you’re washed up and dressed, you walk out into the living room to see Dean standing there by the front door talking to your dad. Dean stops talking when he sees you walk into the room and he smiles over at you.
“Hi,” Dean says almost shyly.
“Hi,” you smile at him.
Dean holds an arm out for you and you walk over, letting him wrap an arm around your waist. Dean leads you out the front door and over to Baby. Neither of you speak a word as he opens up the door for you and you get in. Dean gets in behind the wheel and reaches across the seat to take your hand in his. He starts pulling his hand away when he realizes what he’s doing, but he stops when you reach over to grab his hand. Dean gives you a soft smile before rubbing his thumb over your knuckles. It’s quiet as Dean pulls out of the parking space and takes off driving.
After a while, you can’t take it anymore.
“Pull over?” you ask him softly as you point up ahead at a clearing. Dean pulls off onto the side of the road and looks over at you. “I’m sorry,” you choke out as the tears that you’ve been trying to hold in finally fall down your cheeks. “I’m so sorry, Dean. You have been nothing but patient and helpful with me and I completely shut you out and it was so unfair to you.”
“(Y/N)…”
“I have been completely miserable the past three days without being able to see you and it’s all my fault anyways.”
“No, sweetheart,” Dean says softly as he reaches over to gently wipe your tears away with his thumb on his free hand. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be keeping secrets from you and you have every right not to trust me on this,” he tells you. “So you know, I’ve also been completely miserable without you.” Laughing softly, you bring your free hand up to gently cup Dean’s cheek. “Are we good, baby?”
“Yeah,” you smile widely and you nod your head a bit at Dean. “We’re good.”
Dean smiles at you before leaning over to press his lips firmly to yours. “I’m going to tell you,” he says softly. “I promise that I am. But there’s something that I have to do first.”
“What’s that?”
Dean only smirks at you before sliding over behind the wheel. He pulls out onto the road and gives your hand a soft squeeze. After a while, you begin to recognize where you’re at.
“Dean, aren’t these the same roads that you took me down the other day?”
“Yeah,” Dean smiles as he gently rubs his thumb over your knuckles. “There’s something that I have to show you.”
“What?” you ask him softly.
“Patience, sweetheart,” Dean chuckles. You look over at Dean and frown a bit at him when he pulls into the parking lot of the church that you stopped at the other day.
“Dean, I told you that I couldn’t remember anything else.”
“From the outside,” Dean tells you as he gets out of the car and walks over to open up your door.
“Dean, please tell me what we’re doing here,” you tell him as he reaches a hand down to pull you up. Dean smirks at you.
“Well, I might have made a few phone calls and acquired a key to get in.”
“Why?” you ask him as you give him a look.
“You’ll see,” Dean smiles as he walks over to open up the doors. “Here,” Dean says as he moves to stand behind you, putting his hands up over our eyes.
“Dean,” you laugh. “I don’t like this.”
“Shh,” he tells you softly. “Trust me, sweetheart. I’m not gonna let ya trip or anything.”
You giggle. “You sure are asking me to trust you a lot today.”
Dean chuckles as he leans over to talk in your ear. “Walk.”
“Dean.”
“Go on, sweetheart.”
Sighing, you blindly move your feet one in front of the other. Dean helps you up the couple of stairs before leading you into the church and halfway down the aisle.
“Alright,” Dean says as he lets go of you before giving you room. “Open your eyes, honey.”
You do and a small gasp escapes you. “Dean,” you breathe out as you look around. The lights are all off except for all the candles that are lining the aisle.
“You said the other day that you remembered something about candles so I thought that maybe…” Dean trials off when he sees the tears welling up in your eyes. “Hey,” Dean says softly as he rubs his hands up and down your arms. “I do something wrong?”
“No,” you tell Dean as you look in the eyes. “No, it’s like I can remember something but it’s not like a solid memory.”
“Okay,” Dean says softly as he gently pulls you down with him to sit on one of the pews. “Okay, so maybe what we need to do is make you think about something else for a while.”
“How’s that going to help?” you ask him.
Dean takes a deep breath. “Well, you know how when you’re trying to remember something simple like someone’s name but can’t think about it. Then you remember it later when your mind is preoccupied with something else.
“Yeah,” you breathe out. “I guess so.”
“Well, maybe it will help in this situation too,” Dean tells you softly.
You sniff a bit as you look over at Dean. “How are you going to distract me?” He smirks before leaning in to kiss you. “Dean,” you laugh as you push against his chest. “We’re in a church.”
“Trust me, sweetheart. We are not the first people to kiss in a church,” Dean tells you before firmly pressing his lips to yours. You push against his chest once more and look him in the eyes.
“You said that you’d tell me what you’ve been keeping from me,” you tell Dean.
“Yeah,” Dean says as he gives you a look.
“So, tell me,” you tell Dean softly as you look him in the eyes. Dean swallows hard.
“I will.”
“Stop saying that and be honest with me,” you tell him. Dean sighs as he reaches over to take your hand in his.
“I’m going to tell you something and it might hurt,” Dean tells you softly. “Not exactly because of what I’m going to tell you but the fact that I kept this from you might hurt you.”
“Dean, it’s okay,” you tell him softly as you reach your free hand over to lay it onto Dean’s cheek. “I will try to be understanding about it.”
“Alright,” Dean swallows hard. “(Y/N), there’s something that I need to tell you about my wife.”
You give Dean a look. “Why did you tell me that what you were going to say might hurt me?” you ask him. “I don’t mind it if you talk about her.”
“(Y/N)…”
“I mean, it isn’t like I have to worry about her killing me or anything because I’m dating her husband.”
Dean swallows hard and he lets his eyes slide shut. “Sweetheart…”
“Is this why you’ve been so reluctant to talk to me?” you ask him. “Because it’s about her and it’s a sore spot that you don’t like talking about?”
“(Y/N), please,” Dean says as tears well up in his eyes.
“You could have told me that it was about her. I would’ve understood why you’ve been keeping secrets from me,” you tell Dean truthfully. “If you still don’t want to talk about it then I think that I can be okay with that, but I do want to know one thing.”
Dean takes a deep breath. “What’s that?”
“How did she die?” Dean’s face goes blank and he stares at you. “Dean?”
“She’s…  Sweetheart, she’s not dead,” Dean tells you as a few tears spill over his cheeks. Your heart stops and it feels like you can’t breathe.
“What?” you choke out as you feel your own eyes getting watery.
“(Y/N), Dean says as he reaches out to take both of your hands in his but you jerk away from him. “Sweetheart, I wanted to tell you so bad.”
“Obviously not or you would have told me,” you tell him. “Please tell me how on earth you could keep something like this from me.”
“(Y/N)…”
“You lied to me, Dean!” you yell as you stand up and turn to look down at him. “Couldn’t you have told me that she’s alive? Why did you lead me on like she died?”
“I never told you that she died,” Dean says.
“You implied it!” you tell Dean as you try and resist the urge to slap him. “Dean, you promised me that there was no issue there! When you told me that you lost her you had to know that I took that to mean that she died!”
“Okay, maybe I lead you on a little bit,” Dean tells you as he stands up beside of you. “Sweetheart, I never meant to hurt you like this.”
“That’s crap,” you tell him. “If you never meant to hurt me then you would have told me the honest truth in the first place! But, no! You wanted me so bad that you lied to me and now you don’t have to worry about me because I am done!” You walk out onto the aisle and start towards the door.
“(Y/N), stop!” Dean says as he reaches out to grab onto your hand.
“Don’t touch me!” you yell as you yank your hand out of Dean’s grasp. Your heart breaks when you see the tears falling down Dean’s face, but it’s not your fault. “How am I supposed to believe anybody?” you cry out as your knees give out on you and you drop to the floor.
“(Y/N)!” Dean hollers as he drops to his knees beside of you, wrapping his arms tightly around your body.
“Stop!” you yell as you bring your hands up to your aching head.
“Hey, you’ve gotta calm down.”
“Why do you care?” You stop speaking as you trail off into hysterical sobs.
“I care because I truly do love you,” Dean tells you as he presses a kiss to your temple. You try and push him away but yet you don’t have enough energy to. Dean sniffs as he holds tightly onto you. “I didn’t want to tell you because I knew that you’d react this way,” Dean tells you. “I didn’t want to hurt you more than I helped, and there’s still more.”
“What more is there to say to me?” you sob out into your hands that are covering your face.
“Okay,” Dean says softly before he pulls you away a bit, cupping your face with one hand and using his free hand to gently push your hair out of your eyes. “Look at me.”
“No,” you sob and you turn your head away from him.
“Honey, you’ve gotta look me in the eyes if you want me to tell you,” Dean says softly. “I don’t think that I could do it any other way.”
Swallowing hard, you push yourself away from Dean and drag yourself up off of the floor onto unsteady feet. You start walking over towards the doors once more, and Dean can feel his heart pounding in his chest. There’s no way that he can let you walk off like this.
“(Y/N), please!” Dean says in a desperate tone as he tries his best not to reach out towards you.
“I’m not interested in hearing anymore from you!”
“Sweetheart,” Dean says as he reaches out to gently grab onto your arm. “Please, baby.”
“No! Leave me alone!” you yell right before you’re hit with a bad headache. You gasp as your knees buckle a bit and you feel Dean catching you.
“(Y/N), I know that you’re upset but you’ve gotta calm down, alright?” Dean whispers in your ear as he rubs a hand up and down your arm. It hurts so much that you feel almost sick. Your heart is pounding so hard that you’re able to hear it in your ears.
And then something snaps.
Your brain starts replaying little snippets that you’re still not able to put together well. And yet it’s enough. You remember the candles lining the aisle. You remember the music. The white dress. Dean standing at the altar wearing a tux.
You gasp and your eyes widen as you look up at Dean. “Oh my gosh,” you breathe out as the tears freely fall down your cheeks.
“What is it?” Dean asks you with a concerned look on his face as he tightens his hold on your weak body.
You swallow hard before trying to talk around the lump in your throat. “It’s me, isn’t it?” you ask him softly as the pieces finally fall into place. “I’m your wife.”
