Herringbone-tambour!! It's a great option to have: classic tambour (surface slip stitch) can look kind of plain, and sometimes stringy and open. It dates from at least the 1700's. Do *herringbone-tambour* for a sleek, solid line. And, the double-herringbone version is more raised! In these photos: center round is the regular tambour; middle (aqua): herringbone-tambour; outer green one: double-herringbone. The purple rim is edged with herringbone-slip stitches too. Completed my first crochet-covered headband last night. It started out a bracelet I swatched for the Zegue-Along Tunisian Scrap Zapper class that ended yesterday. I added the Tks rows at each end to make it fit the headband. (Also needed to pad up the skinny headband with black foam strips.) Flickerzigs! Tunisian crochet in fine perle cotton threads (size 5; I used a 2 mm hook). The flower is a test of thicker size 3 perle thread and gathering the ripple strip. The upper bracelet is a stitch variation of the bottom one. As riffs on riffs on riffs, these have come a long way from the stitch pattern I used for the Ziggy Vest, published in Sharon Silverman's 2018 Delicate Crochet book!
