I had been wanting to make a hand towel but didn't like the stitches. When I learned Tunisian stich, I knew this was the fabric I wanted to make but didn't see a good pattern... ok. So, I should point out that I have a hard time reading patterns. YouTube has been very helpful. I have made this without a set pattern. Really happy with the results.

My latest #hat. It’s #crochet and #tunisiancrochet. The pattern is the #mesahatandscarf by @tlyarncrafts. I used @lionbrand #lionbrandheartland in Black Canyon and @loopsandthread.2018 #loopsandthreadsfacets in Brilliant. It took me one day to untangle the Brilliant. I wasn’t giving up. I had two skeins and could have just used the second skein, but this yarn wasn’t beating me!! I persevered and ended up with one big ball and two smaller balls. The colors are gorgeous and I’m glad I didn’t pitch it out the door like I was oh so tempted!!!😂 I got my first set of Tunisian crochet hooks for Christmas and have been following @tlyarncrafts tutorials since. I love this! Toni is an excellent teacher so I credit her for being able to pick up the skills needed so quickly. I’ve been recommending her YouTube channel to new crocheters for ages for exactly this reason. The hat is a wee bit snug for my giant head so I’d like to make another just a bit bigger. I guess I’ll figure out how to manage that. Or do I move on to the next project? But let me tell you how much I love this Heartland yarn. I think I’ve made something in every color way they have. It’s so soft and nice to work with. Every time I’m at @michaelsstores I end up buying more!! My favorite color way is Glacier Bay. Once again, I turned all those yarn scraps into a "painting", using a combimation of Tunisian crochet and Swing knitting. This time, I did a spiral.

And yes, I also used gold cords and nets from chocolates.

For the crocheting melody I used the phone method, this time, I typed in one of my biggest wishes for 2024 and repeated it countless times in the spiral, just like a mantra.

And now I've got the perfect motivation hanging on my wall.

Einmal mehr habe ich meine ganzen Garnreste zu einem Häkelbild verarbeitet und dabei wieder tunesische Häkelei und Swingstricken verarbeitet. Dieses Mal habe ich eine Spirale gehäkelt.

Und ja, ich habe auch die Goldschnüre von den Schokokugeln verarbeitet, ebenso in Streifen geschnittene Schokonetze und natürlich auch das Geschenkband von den Weihnachtspäckchen.

Für die Häkelmelodie habe ich mit der Handymethode gearbeitet und einfach meinen größten Wunsch für 2024 eingetippt und dann unzählige Male gehäkelt, wie ein Mantra.

Und jetzt habe ich das perfekte Motivationsbild an der Wand hängen.

Min fixering* vid krokade hålmönster håller i sig, och har nu gått så långt att jag krokar två mönster på en gång. *) förmodligen osund, precis som andra saker som är roliga och ångestdämpande. Planen, sådan den ursprungligen formulerades, var att testa olika sorters strukturmönster (som inte är så stabbiga som grundmaskorna) tills garnet från Monki-tröjan tar slut. Och provlapparna är formade till små handdukar. Jag är uppe i fem färdiga handdukar, två påbörjade plus en hög med övergivna mönster. Plus över 50 hålmönster-filmer sparade på Pinterest.
