“Fuck you,” she spits in an automatic response, a not unfamiliar anger coursing through her at the audacity of her boyfriend. How this whole fight had somehow shifted enough that any amount of blame could be placed on her, Clio didn’t know, considering it had been Danny that was truly in the wrong. Or at least, that was how she saw it. It wasn’t even an uncommon argument for the two of them, his weekly movie nights with his best friend being a source of tension in their relationship since the beginning - but tonight it had escalated far higher than it ever had before. Things being said in the heat of the debate that wouldn’t ever be able to be taken back. The more she thought on it though, the less fair it even became. Because while maybe it was true that she wasn’t the nicest or greatest person around, she would hardly consider herself to be a bad one by any means. But even if that were true - even if she were a horrendous bitch with no redeeming qualities whatsoever - he would have already known that. Clio didn’t hide who she was from anyone, except maybe the press, but even then she still showed the bare bones of herself, just sugar coated and sweetened them up a bit. So for him to say that he had somehow thought her to be better than she really was, to imply that she had lied or changed a part of herself for him and was just now showing her true colors was ridiculous. “No, no - really, fuck you, Fenton. I’ve never once pretended to be anyone I’m not. You’ve known exactly who I am this whole time - don’t act like it’s suddenly a problem now,” she shoots back, poking him in the chest to emphasize her next point. It was a childish move, but she was so angry she didn’t even care. “Accept your own shit, don’t project onto me. You’re the one acting like you have some kind of moral fucking highground over me - when actually, you’re the one fucking things up.” She takes a few steps backwards and really looks at him, not for the first time wondering why she was fighting so hard to cling to this relationship when they both knew it wasn’t going to work long term. But even with that thought passing through her head, Clio still can’t find it in her to officially end it right now. Because even as tired as she was of the bullshit and the constant fighting, it was still better than being single and alone. Though, that didn’t mean she really wanted to see his face anymore, so she shoots out a hand and points to the door. “But you know what - fine. If I’m such a horrible person, just go. Go run off to fucking Gogo, again, like you always fucking do. I’m not going to sit here and be belittled when I haven’t done anything wrong.” @scoobwrites
