When @primroseyarnco reached out and offered to collaborate, I was equally thrilled about the opportunity and terrified of the breathtakingly bright colours which are nothing like I've ever designed with before.⁠ .⁠ So I looked for something that might help me find a way, again drawing inspiration from my Latvian heritage. ⁠ .⁠ Austras Koks - a concept in Latvian mythology - the connection between the three realms. The roots are connected to the underworld; the central part is the earthly world, illuminated by the Sun, and the foliage is the kingdom of heaven. ⁠ .⁠ I hope that I've shown there is a place for anything within these three realms. It's an excellent opportunity to try out different colour combinations and prove that ancient motifs look great in bright colours, too. 🤩⁠ . Soon to be Famous Sam's OPA BURGER , what a great guy. Eddie n Moe are still great. I told him my idea he cooked it himself perfection a Burger topped with Flaming Saganaki Cheese together Flames of Brandy OMG, brought toasted bun not topping on separate plate for me to assemble. I added 2 sunny side up eggs for another layer of deliciousness WOWED would you just look at that Yolk Porn flowing. A favorite eating spot for thousands Downriver always packed. New pattern in the works! 🐈‍⬛ 🎀🪞 As usual, I am the master of choosing yarn pairs that look like they could be the same skein. 🙄 I feel like every time I want to use two colorways specifically the contrast is always a smidge too similar. And thus, the frogging has begun, but another contrast color has been chosen! 🎀 I am really excited about this design and it’s one that I thought of over a year ago and am finally attempting. Originally thought of making it a fingering weight sweater but decided a cozy DK would be better. Will the color work pattern end up being too huge now? Idk but I think it’ll be great no matter what 🥰 Hopefully will make better progress to share after this weekend!
