starter for @star-paths ・❥・Yongjun & Gin
He had remained guarded for centuries, avoiding any contact with creatures of his kind. More than often, they regarded themselves superior or they fought over an artifact - Gin could vaguely remember. He had been nothing but a youngling back then, as he had to accompany his grandfather to a meeting with several others, a gathering Gin would have never imagined. But even if you forgot the face, you never forgot a dragon's scent.
"Do we know each other?" Such an odd thing to say to someone who merely passed the street. Yet no matter how much Gin wished to deny it, his sensed had a different opinion, opting him to turn and speak to the stranger. "From a long time ago..."

There were wafts of it, the past from many human lifetimes ago. Hints of ages that weathered and cracked through time, the scent of memories that lingered somewhere in the back of the mind clouding around peaks of importance. Yongjun had grown used to it over the several millennia he’d been roaming this earth, seeing, smelling, sensing pieces of his history strewn about the continents, some worth remembering; some he’d rather have forgotten.
He’d tailed one such sense to the small pawn shop tucked in an alley, following a trail that had nearly gone cold in search of a relic — an earring possessed by one of the azure dragon brood that had found its way into mortal hands and been passed off as a pretty trinket, looking not a day older than it had upon crafting. This was the trouble with dragon relics — they were rarely found in museums or precious collections these days, for who would believe such a little thing had survived the passage of time and come out so flawless? It was more likely to be passed off as costume jewelry than anything else; a trophy wife’s trinket.
But while the earring might have been here at one time it no longer was, and he left the shop a bit despondent, scratching the name off a small notepad in his clutches, paying little mind as he passed by the male on the street.
That was, until the voice called out to him — not a familiar sound, but a familiar scent… one that set his blood boiling; One he had not smelled in a long, long time.
He turned on his heel to face the other, a delicate, notched brow lifting as he surveyed him, feeling at once that something was peculiar about the male. Familiar. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
Pointing to himself in question he waited a beat before shifting the focus a little… he had to be certain.
“It’s not surprising to think so — my face has gotten around these parts a few times over,” he responded with a wry smile. He was a well-known musician these days after all. But even as he spoke he knew this was not what the other spoke of.
“Did you want an autograph?” he plucked up the little notepad once more, prepared to jot.
