it is so tricky being a person who wants to love the spooky season but was forbidden from the spooky season growing up and now is overwhelmed by the sheer love everyone else has for the spooky season especially on tumblr. i appreciate your love of the spooky season, folks! i will just keep to the outskirts and chime in with a “hear hear!” now and then with my pumpkin spiced things and love of black cats.

#when i say halloween was forbidden #i mean we turned off all the lights in our house and ignored the doorbell and watched movies in the basement and made christmas ornaments #i couldn’t watch the cool stuff like beetlejuice and addams family #i couldn’t read the choose your own adventure books about witches and wizards #you best believe i had to hide h*rry p*tter under my pillow #and when my little sister found book three she told my mom in tears because she thought i was going to hell #i swear to god if i was not raised in a cult i would be the goddamn queen of the night #but here we are
