I think marxist materialism can be summarized as "a denial of the existence of unembodied universals"
#in contrast to postmodernism which just takes the universal as a whole as its object of skepticicism#marxism allows for the existence of determinate universals - but not universal universals#determinate universals are very important for analysis of a totality#you need the plain in which the universilization takes place!#*plane autocorrect#easy correlary from this framing: every actually existing universal needs a determinate form of embodiment
