Kevin Hart Just Underwent 'Successful' Back Surgery As Police Report From Horrific Car Accident Gives More Details

Kevin Hart is recovering in a local hospital after having major back surgery after that super frightening car crash Sunday morning. Now, more details about who was in the car and Kevin's recovery have been released.

Hours after Kevin Hart's vintage muscle car he had just gifted to himself in July careened off the side of Mulholland Highway, he was hospitalized and is now recovering from major back surgery due to the incident. His wife, Eniko Hart, and family are currently by his side.

The police report from the accident, released by Southern California's KNX1070 News Radio, reveals the other two passengers in his car at the time of the accident were Rebecca Broxterman and Jared S. Black.

Rebecca is Eniko's personal trainer, and the driver that night, Jared (who also goes by JaredStanton), is Rebecca's fiancé.

Based on photos and videos from the wreckage - and the fact the roof of the car was completely smashed in - it's a miracle he didn't end up worse off.

According to The Blast,

Sources close to Hart tell The Blast he went under the knife Sunday night, and that, "the surgery went smoothly, and he is doing ok."

Hart's wife, Eniko, has been by his side at the hospital and we're told he is up and talking to family and doctors.

We're told the comedian is "feeling as good is to be expected right after surgery," and that everyone says he is "expected to make a full recovery."

"The surgery was a complete success. The doctors completed a procedure to stabilize his back." our sources say.

The Jumanji star seems to be making sure his extra fit body gets back to healthy. He's reportedly walking and talking.

Kevin has already been able to walk and talk to people around him.

Although he was badly injured in the car accident, sources close to Hart told us he did not injure his spinal cord, and that the comedian was able to "walk and move his extremities."

Kevin was initally pinned inside the vehicle, but was freed (some reports say he freed himself while others say he was freed by firemen who had arrived on the scene).

It's still unclear why he left the scene of this major wreck to go home before going to the hospital, especially when reports claim the other two passengers were also pinned inside the car. They were reportedly freed after emergency workers physically sawed off the roof of the car. Rebecca was said to not need to be hospitalized while Jason was airlifted to a hospital. The Blast reports:

According to the CHP, the female in the car sustained minor injuries, but the 28-year-old male in the car was airlifted to a local hospital. He also suffered major back injuries.
