Sass!!!!!! ❤️❤️ Reading your fic "Around You, I am Soft" and at first I thought I'd just gush over it in my tags, but well, I needed to quote so many things back to you so here I am to give you a list of some of my favorite things! 😊 it's basically the whole fic!! Because I love it, love everything about it, the characterization, the world-building, the story itself, the emotions!

1. "Chen Yuzhi had gotten word that Jiang Yuelou was injured in a gang war and had promptly shown up with a literal army to save him. That was a fun conversation that they had afterwards, and Chen Yuzhi thought that Jiang Yuelou was going to arrest him or even worse, stop talking to him, but instead, Jiang Yuelou asked him to marry him. Chen Yuzhi was shocked, to say the least, but his little sister Keying was absolutely thrilled because she loved Jiang Yuelou almost as much as Chen Yuzhi did." No matter what they are, they'll always always give their all to save the other, and if chen yuzhi owns an army, all the better! Ahhh I love the lengths they go to for each other!

2. YUELOU CALLING YUZHI "MY HEART"!!!!! ashkjslkj I can't, I literally can't!

3. Chen Yuzhi breaking down because Keying was kidnapped will always be the most heartbreaking thing, but for this Yuzhi, for triad leader Yuzhi to let a tear escape his closed eyes - that's such a heartbreaking and gently painful image!

4. "Jiang Yuelou quickly bundling him into his arms." - THIS! This! always this! the way yuelou lovingly touches yuzhi never ceases to make me comforted too!

5. This "The Chens and the Zhans never got along (long standing crime family rivalry) but Keying was the one thing that brought the two families together, to at least be cordial to each other," and Keying having her own room at the Zhan's mansion. Keying is so precious!

6. "Jiang Yuelou just took his gun out of his holster and handed it to him." this! because especially after that deleted scene about yuelou's gun, yuelou giving yuzhi is gun has always romantic vibes and speaks of trust and love! And ok, they're married here, but still!

7. the building up tension, the revelation of who kidnapped keying, the fact that they arrived just in time to save her (and almost didn't), the TENSION! During the whole scene where Yuzhi surrendered, I was torn between getting emotional (I did get emotional, so many beautiful words and lines and images you wrote there! all that painful softness) and wrecking my brain to understand if yuzhi had a plan B. Because of course he'd be willing to die to save Keying, but I was sure, so sure he wouldn't just sacrifice himself uselessly, he wouldn't just give up so easily! He wouldn't do that to keying and yuelou, not under their eyes! This was such a gripping scene!!!

8. This, of course this: “I believe in second chances” - “But not for people like you”!! I was waiting for this, and still you delivered it in a very elegant and surprising way! Kudos!

9. the hissy kitten comment! wonderful XD

10. this “Maybe out there you are; in here you’re just Chen Yuzhi, Keying’s brother and my husband” and yuzhi burying his face in Jiang Yuelou’s neck! *content sigh* they're soft and in love and I love them so much!! 😭😭❤️❤️

11. the last line!!! "he was soft"!!! 😭😭❤️❤️

Nine, I am literally smiling like a whole ass idiot after reading this! Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, it was so much fun to write. I love writing Mafia aus, and with Yuzhi being mafia (which was new for me cuz normally it's Jiang Yuelou who's mafia) I just needed this to be as angsty and soft as possible.
