1/100 days of productivity
Hello everyone! Finally decided to properly do the studyblr blog thing and try out 100 days of productivity.
It's the start of a new semester for me, and I wanted to try out posting about it for a change to keep myself accountable.
Despite having only a weekend off between this semester and last, I can't wait to start the new one.
For this semester, roughly outlined by the 100 days, I need to step my game up a bit. I've been falling behind my peers for a while now, being in a constant state of burnout for more or less two years, but it's finally starting to lessen. So this is my checklist of major things to get done this time around:
pass my second year subjects - I've been dragging a lot of them behind me for a while now, and have really struggled with them, but im making progress and am finally trying out this studying regularly thing
pass my third year electives - obvious, I wanna be a regular student
start enjoying college again - I've been stuck in a loop of self hate for a while so I'm trying out a couple of new things this time around
finally get my driver's licence - halfway there, just got the first aid and a couple of hours of driving to go through
And so, here's my checklist to get there:
get my schedule in order - this one is the main one and controlling all the others, the only way to stay accountable is to have something to follow
stop neglecting basic care of physical health - start exercising again, it's been a long while since I've done that, so far my plan is to run a couple times a week, but that might change to something else based on my schedule
get my sleep under control - I always sacrifice it when studying, gotta get that sorted out
So, what have I done today?
attended two classes, spent most of my day on that
asked one of the professors for class rules since I've joined it halfway through and the rules have changed this year
tried making a class schedule - the college still didn't publish it so we're going in blind, the first week is always rough
hung out with my partner! - its their last day in town for a while so we're making the most of it (playing retro Nintendo games together)
also sorry for no pictures today for the first day, it was a long and hectic one

23/100 days of productivity

I felt extremely demotivated and small yesterday so I didn't post anything, hardly felt like I did anything of note at the time.
In retrospect though, even though I got very little done, without that break I'd be even worse off today.
So, what happened today? I attended class (got shamed by my professor for not knowing it all considering this is my third time taking it), went out for lunch with an old friend and did homework late in the evening contemplating my life choices.
This is shaping up to be a horrible week but we keep on pushing.
aesthetic photos were not really on my mind today so take the half assed ones, please and thank you

25/100 days of productivity

Today was a long day, and a difficult one. I've attended class for most of it, helped a friend with classical mechanics, tried my best to stay composed during a three hour break period and barely managing. I've also attended the extracurricular for science popularisation and it was a highlight of my day.
(Also I see I'm a quarter of the way to the end. Feels as if I've done nothing so far... I'll have to revisit my resolutions)
I'm yet again thinking of returning to my psychiatrist for additional help. I am turning more turbulent again, can't pass a day without the need to cry at least once, despite being extremely positive and optimistic just minutes before. But that's a to-do for next week.

34-36/100 days of productivity

The past three days I'm grouping into one cuz Easter break:
Saturday I spent extensively studying first aid and getting some homework done before I get sucked into the family gathering preparations. Later that night I helped my mother dye the eggs for Sunday morning.
Sunday I mostly spent eating with family and regretting the amount eaten. Also I studied first aid and went on walks.
Today I spent the first half of my day at a car show in town since my friend insisted on me going, and then we went on a quick hike right outside town. Also I finished preparing for my first aid exam (aka I read the book and bookmarked what I deemed important, will continue rereading tomorrow before the exam).

#100 days of productivity#zero100dop#hardly a post worthy the physblr tag so its going without#also to avoid confusion#both me and my family are atheists but we like the food#plus almost any cause for celebration is a welcome one

32-33 days of productivity

Aesthetics has been thrown out of the window today but fuck it, this is not my job. I'm just doing what I want.
Yesterday I just attended classes and rested. Easter break is underway :)
As for today, I spent the first half of the day exploring ikea, then made pizza and spent hours drilling holes to set up my new blackboard arrangement. Fuck reinforced concrete. I also did a tiny bit of classical mechanics homework, but thats due in two weeks so im taking it slow.
I need a better eraser arrangement, but so far I just hung a hand towel from the screw my clock was on previously (it doesn't fit anymore lol).

27-28/100 days of productivity

(a very late weekend update, didn't update my tumblr for months and it finally caught up with me in bugs)
So this weekend was wild. Spent the whole of Saturday preparing for and attending a birthday party in a small town neighbouring mine. Then spent the whole of Sunday recovering from alcohol. The hour long car drive was spent in a fetal position with a baggie in hand in case of emergency. Fun times :)
Anyway, finally started getting exam dates so shit is about to get real. Hopefully I can keep it from hitting the fan though.

24/100 days of productivity

Today was tiring, but I got my to-do list mostly under control. The social contact tasks like emails and reaching out for advice have been delt with, so I can finally create an acceptable study plan for spring exam season. It will be a doozie.
Talked to some cool colleagues and it feels like a start of a new set of friendships. I wish I wasn't so cynical just to enjoy that fact.

20/21 days of productivity

I'm a bit late with this one since I fell asleep before writing it.
This weekend has been a blast! After getting drunk friday night me and my partner got up early and set off to the countryside with my parents.
We gardened, barbecued, played cards and walked around a lot. I feel really rejuvenated.
As for the week ahead, it no longer seems daunting. I have some homework to do, classes to attend and revisions to get over with but I really feel as though a rock has been partially lifted off of my shoulders and I can finally move around. (This is the week I finally start exercising as well.)

Attended class, cooked lunch and am now watching Twilight while drinking with my friends.
Short because I'm drunk.

17/100 days of productivity

Today I've driven a bit, f-ed around campus preparing a Mag Lev kiddie demonstration, attended class and did some homework.
For the Mag Lev demonstration we need a board with a groove in it to keep magnets in place and safe from harm. That we ended up doing ourselves with chisels since our cnc operator graciously only did 10cm worth of grove lengthwise and thats it. It ended up being somewhat irregular but we'll fix it up with Epoxy.
The plan got stuck to, but making one for tomorrow is going to be a pain. I'll be on campus all day and don't yet know when I'll find a quiet corner to huddle in and do my work. At least I'm sure it won't be boring.

13,14/100 days of productivity

I've spent the weekend in good company, went out clubbing and generally tried to relax. I've also visited a used book store as a part of a date and bought a couple physics books. The one I'm after still evades me though, so the search continues.
As for actual work, I've only reviewed my turned in homework, comparing it to the propper solutions, and helped a friend graph a nonlinear regression.
The weekend has been slow and yet came to an end too quickly. Now it's time I get the ball rolling again.
I've done all I planned to do this week so here's one for the next:
1. Review the past two weeks for all major subjects before their respective classes
2. Continue with driving lessons, and actually contact the school for first aid exam scheduling
3. Finally begin properly preparing for the upcoming exams, as I'll have three to take care of then, under this falls:
Review for the chemistry oral exam - first ask to see your copy of the written part
Start working on math methods problems - for now mainly the easy stuff, so Fourier transforms and the delta function
Review microelectronics - best done by retaking old exams - only gathering the info this week, that will take a while
Hopefully the post makes sense, I'm too spent to do a proofread today :(

12/100 days of productivity

Had my first driving lesson in over a month. It went better than expected given the time off I took for college.
Also attended my first actual Astronomy course, during which I unfortunately fell asleep multiple times. The almost fully sleepless night unfortunately caught up with me.
Rounded the day off by enjoying time with my partner and our double date friends. Made karaage and played board games!

9/100 days of productivity

Finally did the homework I was assigned last Thursday!
Also attended what ended up being the last class for a TA since his contract wasn't renewed as of yet.. The whole semester is off to a very turbulent start.
Afterwards I spent a couple hours teaching my dog to finally walk beside us instead of rushing ahead. Its gotten to the point where even on a leash he only about his momentary points of interest. This is accentuated by a lot of other neighbourhood dogs coming into season at the same time. Hopefully the madness ends soon since I'm the only one still keeping up with his shenanigans without a risk of injury.

6-7/100 days of productivity

Well, this was a weekend that happened... I managed to do very little college work despite plans. I did however do some other stuff:
-attended a protest
-hung out with my partner
-reviewed some study notes and bought new notebooks
-scheduled my first haircut in more than half a year
Plan for this week:
1. Get aforementioned haircut
2. Schedule my first aid exam and continuation of driving lessons
3. Turn in homework from last week alongside further study of last semester's classes (specifically classical mechanics and chemistry)
Tomorrow is a very class heavy day so I will do no further revision afterwards, it will wait for the day after.
#decided to do this weekend as a two-fer as I slept at my partners place last night#but I'll see what happens next week#the “plan for this week” segment I felt like doing from the start though#im just not in the swing of things yet and am taking it too much day by day#physics#physblr#100 days of productivity#zero100dop

5/100 days of productivity
Attended a Radiation Safety convention today, which was very enjoyable. It's not my first convention of this kind but it still made me feel insignificant. It was a blast though and I am looking forward to the next one.
There was also an intro class today I had full intention of skipping, only for a friend to inform me it was canceled instead last minute. Yay for small wins :)
The rest of the day I spent ranting to friends about topics I've just heard discussed, relaying interesting facts and kicking myself for not asking questions which are now burrowing around my noggin.
Unfortunately I have no photos to show for today, didn't feel like pushing my phone in peoples faces and was too tired after the fact to care.

4/100 days of productivity

I attended classes for most of the day, did some revision afterwards. Took a much needed walk with my dog and watched The Witcher with my partner over a discord call to unwind.
Feel as if I could have done better today, and yet am exhausted.
#I'll start exercising this weekend/start of next week#this week I'm treating as a mini vacation since we're barely getting the ball rolling classes wise#physics#physblr#100 days of productivity#zero100dop
