while anica and zlatan aren’t the closest of friends, there’s no bad blood between the two of them nowadays. that is to say they don’t argue or fight. anica’s kindness towards zlatan can take a patronising tone every now and again, but then again! when doesn’t it! while she doesn’t offer more traditional confession, she offers mediation and to play as a confidant, still. 

every so often, anica will challenge zlatan to check if what she remembers of spoken turkish is still alright...ish. they drink ridiculously strong coffee together, and zlatan is welcome to be absolutely appalled by anica’s heavy intake of booze.

ok one thing i need to bring up is how similar (in themes and delivery, at least,) doina and sevdalinka are; in that they’re culturally important, melancholic songs. i also remember reading that the most recent anniversary of modern bilateral relations being celebrated with long song recitals in bih. anica really admires zlatan’s musical prowess. would whip out a violin to duet with him in a heartbeat, but knows better than to try upstaging him. they can demolish some shawarma after.
