Happy Birthday Claus Larsen! . . Leæther Strip - Solitary Confinement (LP) Released: 1992 Label: Zoth Ommog . . Claus Larsen started his musical career, which continues to this days, in the mid-80s with the project "Decode". This Danish synth pop group released a single "Planet Of Youth/Amazing Waves" in 1986. From now on Claus went on alone and founded one of the most influential EBM-projects, called "Leæther Strip". Andreas Tomalla (a.k.a. @talla2xlc_official) discovered him and signed him into his newly founded label "Zoth Ommog" in 1989. In the same year the 12" "Japanese Bodies" was released and in 1990 the debut album "The Pleasure Of Penetration". "Solitary Confinement" was the second "Leæther Strip" album and was released in 1992. It's one of my favorites from LS. Hits like "Strap Me Down", "Adrenalin Rush" "Nothing Seen - Nothing Done" or "Crash Flight 232/92" still fill every real EBM dance floor today. "Evil Speaks" was the first track for which there was also a video clip. You can see a few seconds of it in my little film. :-) Since 1991 Claus Larsen has been running his side project "Klute" (Klutæ, since 2006). It is more fun, louder, faster and with guitar samples. Both "Leæther Strip" and "Klutæ" are still publishing today and will hopefully go back on stage soon (after Corona). For a few years now there have been more pop music from Claus.
