Rules:

1. This blog shares canon with @melodic-mayh3m. While the main events of the Ariga Manga have taken place, many of my muses and their stories have been expanded on and can be considered canon divergent. One of the big differences is XVerse does not happen for me. X and Zero do still exist, and there is still conflict, but there is no calamity and no Maverick Virus. Within current canon, we're coming up on the events of Megaman and Bass, but I can and am willing to jump around the timeline!

2. I’m very OC and crossover friendly! Having said that, there are some franchises I can’t really see myself writing with, unless I’m familiar with you as a mun. I am also very liberal with the block button, and reserve the right to cease interaction if someone makes me uncomfortable.

3. On that note: For my comfort, please do not interact if you are a Personal blog/Do not have an rp side blog, or are below 18+. If you would like to follow for my writing, that is fine. However, any personal blogs that reblog things or spam-like will be blocked on sight.

4. I am a slow writer. There are some days when my writing energy is higher, and there are days when I physically cannot bring myself to focus on it. While I do not mind and actually appreciate thread reminders, I will not tolerate constant badgering.

5. Additionally, there is no time limit with me! RP is a hobby first and foremost, and I expect everyone in the RPC to treat it as such. Everyone has other things going on in their lives, and writing our characters comes second to that.

6. Communicate!! That is the key! Whether it be about plotting interactions or if an issue springs up, I greatly prefer if we can talk things out one-on-one. I do not tolerate vague posting.

7. Unless I reblog an ask meme requesting them, I do not accept magic anons. Any that are sent in will be deleted.

8. I don’t mind darker themes nor topics—though I do have my own limits—and as such I do my best to tag them whenever they arise. Rape, incest, and pedophilia are topics I will not entertain. Full stop. Please let me know if there’s anything in particular you need tagged. Mun ≠ Muse.

9. Regarding shipping, I am very much a multishipper! Having said that, I tend to run based on vibes as opposed to running straight into things. If our muses have chemistry or a potentially fun dynamic, I’m usually good to go! I do not ship just to ship, and will not appreciate being pushed into one.

10. Mun is of age, however I will not be roleplaying anything sexually explicit on this blog. While I may occasionally join in on Sinday shenanigans (I do enjoy sexual HCs and jokes), anything that leads into spicier territory will result in a fade to black. Any continuations will likely be written on Discord.

11. On that note: I do not hand out my discord to just anyone. I am extremely selective about who I give it to, and I usually prefer to do so if we’ve had substantial interaction.

DTN-008: Shark Woman

Function: Oceanic Exploration A.I Age: 18 Years Active: 5 Region of Origin: Japan Height: 5'7 Ship Status: Hell if she knows

Sharkie was built for the exploration and mapping of the ocean floor, and its various formations. While she does occasionally help to locate wreckage, much of her responsibilities deal in keeping track of the various reefs and oceanic habitat’s found in Earth's waters. Now, it is important to note that while she’s not built for exploration of the deepest levels of the ocean, she can handle a great deal of aquatic pressure without worry.

Even so, she tends to be found around shallower waters, ones where the sun can still reach.

An extrovert through and through, Sharkie is always curious about what everyone else is up to. You can always expect her to ask 20 questions rapid fire, all while sitting and observing whatever it is you're doing. She’s extremely rambunctious and excitable, and is always willing to meet new people and get to know them. However, she does have her more serious moments. When there's a job to do, she'll focus in on that and make sure it's done, and done well. Additionally, she’s fiercely protective of her family, especially of her “twin” brother, and will do whatever she can to keep her family safe.

Abilities:

Fast Swimmer: A given. Sharkie loves swimming, and feels most at home in the depths.

Heat Resistance: Due to the abundance of underwater volcanic activity, and her responsibility to log the formations, Sharkie was built to withstand the extreme conditions. However, even with this resistance she cannot stand to be in any dry, hot areas for long.

Scanning and Mapping equipment: Sharkie is equipped with both LiDAR and Sonar technology that allows her to better traverse and map the ocean floor.

Jaw Strength: Her teeth and bite are extremely strong, to the point she can chomp straight through metal.

Aquatic Combat: Given she’s a later number, Dr. Takahashi made sure to build her with combat capabilities already installed. Because of this, she is capable when it comes any underwater scuffles.

DTN-006: Moth Woman

Function: Nocturnal pollination/botanical cataloguing  A.I Age: 24 Years Active: 18 Region of Origin: Japan Height: 6'6 Ship Status: Biromantic asexual, sapphic-leaning. Open to multiship!

Soft-spoken and perpetually sleepy, Moth is one of Dr. Takahashi’s more recent creations. Given that she was built to be nocturnal, she’s most often active during the evening hours. This ties into her responsibilities in dealing with nocturnal plants, cataloguing them and making sure they are well-cared for. As such, her current workplace is a large greenhouse that focuses on biological research. While she can be active in the day, she tends to be a bit more sluggish during those times. She tends to be fairly quiet, both in voice and physical movement, which is partially because she was built to be fairly lightweight and slim. This was done in order to negate any disturbances to the plants she works with, given that some species are often be very sensitive to the slightest differences in environment. This means she tends to be on the frailer side, though she’s not flimsy by any means. Even so, she tends to avoid getting into conflicts as much as possible, and focuses on agility and diversion to get out of it. Moth is ultimately a very kind and gentle person. She’s very understanding and tends to have the patience of a saint, as it takes quite a bit for her to get upset, even more so to show it visibly. While she tries to give the benefit of the doubt, and usually doesn’t get herself involved in any conflicts, it is important to note she is not passive. She will remove herself from situations she doesn’t particularly want to be in, even if she doesn’t raise a stink about it. Abilities: Flight: She has wings after all! Dust Haze: Moth is able to quickly release thick clouds of electromagnetic dust, which serve to blind and disorient any attackers she may face. The hope is these clouds will give her—and anyone with her—time to retreat and escape the conflict. Mild Camouflage: Much like real-life moths, her wings are made up of multiple, fairly delicate “scales.” These scales, when adjusted, can refract light. This gives her a rudimentary form of camouflage, one focused more on blending and hiding in than any true invisibility, and is entirely reliant on the scales remaining intact. Of course, the old trick of making oneself look bigger can work just as well in a pinch. Wing Click: By bending her wings a specific way, she can produce various “clicks” to interfere with robotic systems, ranging from confusing their sensors to sharp sounds meant to disorient. These clicks can double as a sort of ‘morse-code’ for those who know what to listen for.

DTN-001: Rodeo Man

Function: Cattle herding/General farm work A.I Age: 27 Years Active: 20 Region of Origin: Japan Height: 5'9 (in armor) Ship status: Homosexual, open for multiship!

Strong, loyal and with a heart of gold, Rodeo is the eldest of Dr. Takahashi’s first line and the second oldest overall. His main workplace is currently a large ranch, and is very efficient when it comes to his job. Due to being created as a farm hand, he’s able to handle a variety of farm work. He most commonly deals with the ranching and herding aspects, and more frequently works with cattle. Because of this, he is reasonably strong, able to lift around his own weight with little difficulty. He is also extremely observant, keeping a keen eye on the goings on of things. He cares greatly for his siblings, though there are certainly times where the younger line’s antics can exasperate him. In those instances he’s not afraid to go rounding them up. He’s loyal to a fault, yet also honest to the same extent. He hates lying, always trying to avoid doing so if he can—which unfortunately makes him a bad liar—and tends to dislike those who are dishonest more often than not. This ties into his hard-headedness, and stubborn tendencies, as he will very often dig in his heels depending on the situation. Regardless, he tends to have a good head on his shoulders, always willing to offer a helping hand and lend an ear when needed. Additionally, it is important to note he was not initially built with combat capabilities. Dr. Takahashi, at the time, saw no reason to install them when he was first created. It wasn’t until Dr. Wily began his wars that he’d be retrofitted with them, albeit hesitantly and with great reluctance. Even now, though he has a better understanding as to why he needs them, he tries to utilize these newer abilities as little as he can.

Abilities: Rope and Lasso Proficiency: Exactly what it says on the tin :D

Animal Handling: He’s very good with animals! He adores them all—though chickens are little demons—though he has a particular soft spot for reptiles.

Ace Revolver: Gun. Rodeo specifically requested no buster when he was retroactively fitted with combat capabilities. While he prefers not to use it, he’s still a fairly good shot. All bullets used are made up of condensed plasma, similar to the busters other Robot Master’s use, and range from the standard fare to spread shots.

Martial Arts: While the basics and general concepts were installed during the retrofitting, Rodeo still had to hone them through training. He’s not married to any one particular style, mostly defaulting to more defensive combat when put in a tight spot.

DTN-000: Jazz

Function: Robot Master Prototype, Lab assistant/Household helper A.I Age: 25 Years Active: 25 Region of Origin: Japan Height: 5'5 Ship Status: Bisexual, planned canon ship. Selectively open to multiship!

Dr. Takahashi’s very first creation, and one of the eldest—still active—Robot Master prototypes to date. Conceptualized after The First, Jazz was created as yet another test to see just how useful sentience would be in a mechanical being. Much of her specific testing surrounded the use of sentience in a work setting, acting as proof of concept for robots who were allowed to think through various situations and problems. Because of this, she, much like Dr. Light’s first, would ultimately be forced to have the Three Laws of Robotics installed. And, much like him, they would cause complications.

Instead of a faulty core, her initial memory bank was faulty, something the Three Laws negatively interacted with. Because she was unused to such rigid restrictions, any instructions that could have conflicted with the Laws were deleted, which eventually spread to entire chunks of her memory as the problem grew worse. This unfortunately led to much of her early activation being wiped or corrupted. Dr. Takahashi has since fixed the issue, uncorrupted as much as she could, and—most importantly—completely removed the Three Laws.

No one, save for a small handful of people, knows they have been removed.

As of now, Jazz serves as Dr. Takahashi’s lab assistant, taking over and assisting with builds, mechanaloid repairs, and general lab and house work. She’s effectively a jack of all trades, master of few, and she’s content with that.

She tends to be an outwardly calm and collected person, coming across as fairly reserved to those who don’t know her well. This is true, to a degree. While she is reserved, much of it comes from trying to make herself as unnoticeable as possible. In truth, she is fairly sociable once you forge a deeper connection with her. She’s very caring, always looking out for her siblings and those she’s close to. She also can be known to sass, and has a bit of a stubborn streak depending on the situation. Jazz also flusters very easily, though she tries to keep a cool head.

Abilities:

Network Flexibility: Due to being an older model, and due to having no restrictions, Jazz theoretically has free rein of the network Robot Masters rely on. If she wanted, she could tap into other systems and completely alter them—or shut them down—making them run more efficiently. She does not, instead preferring to make sure everything in Takahashi Labs runs smoothly. She sees no reason to overstep her bounds—or, perhaps she’s too afraid to.

Mastery over Mechanaloids: Ties into the above. Jazz is more than capable of directing multiple units at a time, doing so without difficulty or without losing track of her own projects. She is also able to directly connect to many at a time if needed, though this is much less common.

Repair and Construction: A given, due to being a lab assistant. She’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Mechanaloid repairs, and the same consideration is given to other Robot Masters.

Cooking: She’s a pretty good cook! She can’t do anything super fancy, but her home cooked meals are really good.

🎮 what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies?

Photography is one of the big ones! Part of it ties into how much she cherishes having something to physically remember things by, but part of it has to do with the enjoyment of the craft regardless. I know a digital camera would be the most obvious tool in her kit, but she does have a few film cameras she'll use just because she likes the novelty and the look of the photos.

I think she's also fallen into the sealing wax rabbit hole, partially because ouh pretty colors and stamps, partially because it adds a fun little personal touch to letters, and also because it is a somewhat rhythmic process that she enjoys.

As for the third... puzzles and puzzle games/games with puzzles. She enjoys the mental stimulation, even if she. Tends to be quick to figure out some of them lmao. I think she'd also like rhythm games and more story driven games.

🎶 what type of music does your oc like? do they listen to music very often?

Aside from her namesake? She's pretty fond of older Japanese citypop and 80s/90s music, n there's actually a cover of "What A Fool Believes" by Kaho Shimada that she really enjoys! I think it'd also be no surprise to anyone—given her choice of dress—that she's an enjoyer of more gothic music. As a rule of thumb though she tends to enjoy music she can feel the rhythm of or is something she can sing along to/keep the beat with.

🍛 what does your oc's typical dinner look like? do they usually eat dinner?

Considering she's the one who usually starts making dinner, it really depends on the day and whats discussed! Curry and rice (ironically lol) tends to be one of the more common dinners at Takahashi Labs, but some nights it's stirfry, some nights it's udon, some nights it's something more western, etc. etc. I know Dr. Takahashi will come in and assist with cooking if she's got the time, and since Jazz can eat she'll normally join her mother at the dinner table along with any of the other DTNs who decide to partake.
