A Bloodied tiger rock plush is holding a bloodied ball with the words David on it... Is just sitting in his mailbox

Despite saying he didn't want to leave the house, he noticed something significant sticking out of his mailbox and retrieved the plush and ball quickly. Finding this, he was confused but also wary - especially when he put them down and found his hands were dirty.

Something told him he was supposed to know what this was, but he couldn't remember. Why was this sent to him?
