Ive seen most people on twitter saying they do not want to wait until season 9 or 10 for Buddie to get together. So that made me curious

buck and eddie love each other in the ways they need to be loved. because buck needs someone who understands him and eddie needs someone who accepts him and they both do that for each other and they’re so blind and keep looking for it in other people when it’s right in front of them-

So I've been thinking about how Buddie could happen since the rumors it was teed up and then erased in S4 have been circulating.

This is longish so I'll try not to ramble...

So if the original (rumored) beginning to a Buddie canonization was based on one of them nearly dying and the other absolutely flipping their shit over it, I don't think that's going to work again. For a couple of reasons. First, because that's happened since s4 with the coma story line and it once again didn't result in anything. And secondly because at this point with Buck being canonically bisexual it doesn't need to go down that way - we have lots more options now.

At this point I really am thinking about the chemistry of relationships and the fact that these two dingbats have been in eachothers pockets for six years. And the thing that happens when your with someone for six years is the flare, that spike of butterflies and newness...it fades to this sort of glow. Like a fire that burned hot and now is just a warm pile of embers that occaisionally flame up but mostly just give off a familiar warmth and comfort.

That's why it's called a slow burn. But I digress...

My point is that when you're in a long term relationship you get these little flares where the brain chemistry goes back and cycles through that first hit of serotonin you get when you meet a crush and suddenly those embers run hot again. And it could be the stupidest thing. Like, my husband bought a pair of shoes that are ADORABLE and suddenly I have a crush on the man I've spent 16 years with.

So I think while big revelatory events work to be a catalyst for romance in a lot of situations, I think it's going to be something way more subtle and mundane for these two. Like Buck will get a new T-shirt with the bi flag on it or Eddie will buy fuzzy slippers for the house or something and suddenly these two dorks will be crushing so hard they won't know what to do with themselves.

And with Buck now being way more conscious of his sexuality and really owning that part of himself, the pathway to a less traumatic confession is wide open. It remains to be scene what Eddie's character does over the rest of the season obviously, and I'm fully on the demi-Eddie bandwagon which I don't really see becoming canon because I'm a cynic who's ships NEVER become canon....but ANYWAY.

That's what makes sense for these two. A quiet morning with coffee and love confessions and then just the comfort of a familiar and warm place.

I added most of the latter part of this post to a reblog of a post I did last year about Eddie being an awesome dad but I decided to do a separate post because it's getting real interesting out here in these 911blr tags especially since BT shippers and former Buddie shippers keep trying to ERASE EDDIE DIAZ so Buck and T*mmy can raise Chris.

Like what the actual F%ck?

I've been on a blocking and tag filtering spree for more than two weeks so anyone posting BS like this and any negativity about Buddie have been BLOCKED!

Buck is ONLY HIS LEGAL GUARDIAN and that's in the event that Eddie's dies so don't get it twisted.

There's NO way Buck and T*mmy will be raising Chris together like Chris is their son.

No one can erase Eddie!

Buck WILL NOT be raising Chris with T*mmy🤬😡.

T*mmy is A PLOT DEVICE and HE IS NOT part of The BUCKLEY-DIAZ FAMILY.

Eddie added Buck to his will not Buck +1. Therefore Buck will only be raising Chris with EDDIE DIAZ, Chris' biological father. They've already built a family and it's been 6 years. Eddie told Buck, "There's nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you".

He didn't say that to T*mmy! Hell, T*mmy wasn't even around back then. He's only been in like 3 episodes and he'll be gone soon!

Stop trying to ERASE EDDIE BY UNALIVING HIM so Buck can raise Chris with T*mmy.

It's ludicrous and asinine and down right ridiculous!
