A Viceo On the Internet, Scene 14: Number One, Men
“Number one, Men. This entry might surprise most of our viewers, but there are several reasons it made the top of our list. Each item on this list affects men far more negatively than women.”
“Let’s start off of child care. In 2033 there was a ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States which said that parents had a duty of care to their children, instead of a right to be a parent. The status quo at the time implied that children were property of the parents, and no human being could be a property of another. This began a shift from parental agreement care, when parents split up, to prioritizing the well-being of children. Most times, the income of each parent decided the custody.”
“This brings us to work, or more accurately the lost their of, for men. Most statistics site men making roughly eighty cents on the dollar compared to women. However, there are several factors that skew these numbers. First, if you don’t include at the top five percent of all earners, men make only fifteen cents on the dollar comparatively. This number is calculated by taking the total income annually of the working man and dividing it by the eligible working man. The same is done for women. Some people don’t like this method, though. So here’s another telling statistic. If you look at human men, who are married to human women, they make roughly ninety-seven cents on the dollar. The only way for a human man to do well is to marry a human woman and have her get him a suitable job.”
“This brings us to the dating world. The often repeated statistic of a ninety-five percent drop in matches after being in a relationship with and aminoid is true. The thing is, it affects men and women differently. The average woman on a dating app will match with 4000 men a week, so after a relationship with an aminoid it would be around 200. Further, only about fifty of these men will talk with her. For men, though, it’s a lot more bleak. At most, they can expect to be matched with about sixty women a week. A man may never get a match if it turns out he was in a relationship with an aminoid.”
“What's worse is everything surrounding these numbers. When women get with an aminoid, they stop dating humans for good. Men have to date aminoids no matter how they feel. Further, how these relationships are exposed is different too. While women will just flat out say it, men are usually outed on social media. And many times it's wrong. A lot of times they'll get outed for a night out with his older sister for a birthday.”
“And it gets worse. If you're over 21, don't have any college education, and haven't been with a human girl you won't be, ever. This highlights the massive education gap in the western world. The US, only forty percent of men complete high school, and among men there is a thirty percent illiteracy rate. And who could blame them for not caring? It's not like they will put the education to good use, anyway.”
“This leads us to arguably the most uncomfortable discussion, the disabled. Now I’m sure many, many people benefit from needing an aminoid while having legitimate disabilities. These are not the people I’m talking about. However, an increasing number of men are being diagnosed with PTSD symptoms. It’s not a mystery though, we know why it’s happening. Men are far more likely to be involved in an abusive relationship in their lifetime than women are. And this isn't from other men or aminoids because men don't raise their own kids anymore, and the only thing aminoids are guilty of is loving their siblings too much. This leaves moms, sisters, and domestic partners. A 2048 study backs this up.”
“Did you know that the relationship between organized crime and aminoids was also more complicated than we originally let on? There is mounting evidence to suggest that the Chinese and Japanese breeding authority have been smuggling nekos and inus using these criminal syndicate. We now believe that this was the primary reason nekos rose against the cartels.”
“Speaking of the breeding authorities, they have fired every doctor that has been caught having sex with a female aminoid. The breeding authorities have cracked down hard in the last six months too. Over two million parents have been euthanized since the crackdown started. However, that doesn’t speak to how the men are treated. For my aminoid viewers, I’m sorry that this problem isn’t more well known. Every single male raised in the breeding authority is raped by the nurses. It’s not just a few times either, the average is over 150. And they encourage this behavior, as it teaches them to be under total control of their partners. And their lives truly are on the line; if they don’t comply with the nurse’s demand, they will die.”
“This problem isn't limited to aminoids either. An often repeated statistic is that a staggering twenty-five percent of women will be raped in their lifetime. What this doesn’t say however is how much this has dropped over the last thirty years. In 2020, sixty-six percent of women were sexually assaulted before the age of eighteen. Today, sixty-one percent of men are raped before the age of twenty-one. Again, it's hard to blame nekos and inus for this either, as they'll be put to death if they get turned in. Many of you may decry this statistic and say many of these men were drunk, at some party, or it was a misunderstanding with a girl that liked them, but keep in mind thirty years ago women were told the similar things when they brought up rape charges against men.”
“The question I have now is, why did all this happen? I think the answer is very simple; I think it’s economics. Without the ability to use their own resources men feel like they don't have agency which leads to the aforementioned problems. And truth be told it's far easier now for a man to get a girlfriend or wife now than it's ever been, and these aminoids meet all of their needs in the process. I'll admit we have a lot of work to do, our aminoid sisters have been cleaning up our society's mess for over twenty years now. They deserve better than what we've given them. So I hope you enjoyed that video…”
Myra shuts it off. Eliza huffs. “And here I thought she would take responsibility. What was I thinking,” she asks sarcastically. Julia clicks her tongue. “I mean, they abuse men, toss them aside, and are totally devalued as objects, but hey, we gave ‘em sexy girls with great racks. So it makes up for it.”
William looks at Myra, “I didn't like that video.”
Elijah laughs. “Nobody liked it.”
Myra texts Vanessa, “Cringe worthy, more like vomit inducing.” She gets a, “LOL,” a moment later. Myra smiles.
William lies on her shoulder again. “Can you guys teach me that name thing?”
Eliza shrugs. “You mean the honorifics?” He nods and then Eliza smiles. “Sure we'll teach everyone.”

My Thoughts on Scene 13
First off, yes it’s been a month. Not sure what happened. One week turned into several I guess.  Second, there is a lot to unpack here. This backstory takes a lot of turns, and it can be difficult to see who’s bad and who’s not.
First the party Julia’s younger brother went to, got super drunk at, and had sex at tells us he’s definitaly irresponsable, but it could be just escapist too. Even the threesomes he had with the nekos (from the boys perspective) werent that bad. The Nekos are a little merkier. True they shouldn’t have done this, but the boy wore the bracelet under false pretenses. After that, we can infer he lived with these girls for a while. This is because he said he was never going back to a judge, likely at a custady hearing of sorts, Remember, how she said that May was his second wife, it probably means that one of those girls was his first before he came into contact with May.
The bracelets themselves were a way for nekos to “hunt” safely, without fear of appraoching and scaring people. Nekos can be pretty aggressive with shy people. Sadly, this is likely the reason they went away. People exploited these bracelets.
The brother, was definately mistreated, he was a victem of statutory rape, but ulike most he had a real motive for lying about who he was, how his parents treated him. It’s safe to say getting his door removed was the last straw. as to what he had in his possession and why he had them. I’ll leave that to you to decide.
Another interesting point here is how he was labled and why. in the real world, a level zero, sex offender doesn’t exsit. We are, however, given a deffinition of “sexual devient,” which likely means that he possesses sexual urges that pose a clear danger to those around him. (e.g. pediphelia and incest) It seems like this is a world that takes sex offenses very seriously. And as per usual I wouldn’t be dedicating this much of a story to a character I was only going to be talking about in passing. so stay tuned.

A Video on the Internet, Scene 13: Why Julia Dyed Her Hair (CW)
Julia looks over to Eliza. “The violence part makes sense, and I can attest to the sexual access. Do you guys remember the old fad of buying those metal bracelets?”
Rachel claps. “Oh, yeah.” She wears a smile. “I remember you'd by one if you wanted an aminoid to approach you.”
Evelyn grins. “That was before the app became big for aminoids.”
Julia runs her fingers through her hair. “Well, my younger brother had one for a few days when he went to a party. And at this party he got hammered. It was so bad he barely even remembers walking home. Anyway, this car drives up alongside of him, and this cat-girl asks if he's looking for a good time. My brother just kinda laughs along with her, right? So, she and the roommate she had with her have a threesome right there in the car. They take him to their place, and he has a threesome with the other two nekos living there. He never came back home after that either.”
“Hold on,” Evelyn says, interrupting. “How old was he?”
Julia looks upward. “Let's see, fourteen.”
“Oh God! Ew,” Eliza says covering her face. “I'm not gonna count how many ways that was wrong.”
Julia wears an awkward smile. “Oh yeah, but see in court, when the judge tried to order him back in to Mom's custody, he was like, ‘Look, I ain't goin’ back. Throw me in jail, juvie, I don't care.’ And my mom takes a deep breath and says, ‘Please don't make him come back.’ The judge shrugs and says, ‘Unless there's some immediate danger, he must go back to your custody.
Rachel shakes her head. “I don't like where this is going.”
Julia let's out a laugh. “So, anyway, Mom goes up to the judge to talk privately, and I swear my brother smiles as she's walking up. After it's over, they registered my brother as a level zero sex offender.”
Evelyn nods. “Oh, so he was a deviant. He did nothing.”
“Right,” Julia says.
“Well, that doesn't take away from the fact that he was a victim, and many men fetishize their trauma. It's a known coping mechanism,” Evelyn says.
“That's true, but,” Julia says. She takes a deep breath. “Okay, so his second wife May, who heavily doubts that the fact it traumatized him, has auburn hair. My sister was bought specifically because she had the same hair color as me.”
“Oh, hell no.” Eliza jolts back, shaking her hands. “That's just wrong.”
Julia nods. “And this entire thing with the bracelet got started because Mom and Dad took the hinges off his door because they caught him with.” She puts her finger to her chin. “Inappropriate items.”
“Okay, that's it,” Rachel yells. “We're stopping this conversation!” William looks back to Myra. “I don't get what he did.”
Dammit William, not now, Myra thinks to herself. “Do you see how Rachel's uncomfortable? It means we need to stop.”
“I don't want to hear anything bad,” he says leaning in to her. “I just want to understand.” Myra furrows her eyebrows.
Eliza puts an arm around him. “He was being gross.” She nods to him. William tilts his head and then jolts it backwards. “With his sister?” He looks back to Myra.
Myra nods, Thank you, sis.
William looks down. “I wish I understood.”
Julia pushes up her sunglasses. “The fact that you don't is a testament to who you are. And you're right, Evelyn. He was a victim, no doubt about it. All I'm saying is he weaponized it to get what he wanted, and he wanted a life of no work, no responsibility, and a lot of sex.”
Myra sighs and unlocks her phone. “Well, with that fun brief story out of the way,” she says resuming the video.

My Thoughts on Women, an Honorable Mention
First off, saying that women would be in the top spot is an understandable assumption. However, this comes with a couple of implications people may not realize. The first of these is mentioned in the text. Saying that what happened to women is a direct result of aminoids admits they couldn’t acheave the hights they did without them. The second implication here is more subtle. Just because one group falls, doesn’t mean neccesarily that power has to change hands to another group it could just get more centralized. This didn’t happen however, and Women have far more control over their own lives than they did before.
The next section focuses on the current state of the womens issues we have today. We’ve heared about one of them, pay. Women in this world are in a far better financial situation than they are right now. Abortion, though is still a topic of discussion, and the previous entry plays into this nicely. I do truly believe that if people were allowed to sell unwanted children that abortions would rarely happen for reasons outside of medical or some other severe cercumstances. The thing is being with an aminoid is so popular, selling unwanted children is nessesary to keep up with demend. This also implies a falling birth rate too.
The third thing here is that Julia didn’t know what birth control was. Why, you ask? It’s simple, the medication in question isn’t used for birth control anymore. Instead, it’s used for regulating the monthly cycle, nothing more. This is because having unwanted children is no longer a burdan, and thus birth control is now regulated to a side affect.
Finally, violence agaionst women.  Learned powerlessness is definately part of the equation, but not as much as these characters give it credit. A much larger part of this equation goes to the fact that aminoids get a lot of brunt of this violence. We will see exactly how this occurs in later stories. See you next time.

A Video on the Internet, Scene 12: Women, an Honorable Mention
Myra pauses the video as the stone-colored screen comes up again. “Who has a prediction?”
Eliza chuckles. “Seriously?” She shrugs. “We know what she’ll say. How far women have come.”
Julia smiles. I have a hard time imagining her saying anything else.” “Well,” Evelyn says. She licks her lips. “Not necessarily. This list is about how aminoids have changed the world. So if she says that, it means admitting we didn't do this ourselves.”
Rachel points to her. “That's an excellent point. Besides, we are where we are as a response to aminoids, not as a direct consequence of their appearance.”
Ellis looks at Evelyn. “What kinds of issues did women face a quarter century ago? Do you know?”
Evelyn leans back. “Reproductive rights was what everyone talked about. This stuff like access to abortion and birth control.”
Rachel laughs while leaning back in her seat. “I'm sorry, I have to laugh at the abortion bit.” She gives an exaggerated shrug. “On no! whatever will I do with this extra $100,000 dollars that I made for selling my unwanted baby?”
Evelyn laughs along with her. “Yeah, but you have to understand, surrogacy was not as popular as it is now. Not to mention, abortion still happens occasionally. Health complications are the biggest reason, but there are others too.”
Julia raises her hand. “Question, what's birth control?”
Evelyn taps Julia's seat in front of her. “Oh, sorry.” She laughs to herself. “Wow, there's a dated reference.” She shakes her head. “We call them MCRM’s now.”
“Oh!” Julia shakes her head. “Menstrual Control and Regulatory Medication. I should have known that.”
Evelyn adjusts her glasses. “Anyway, they also made less than men in those days, and violence against women was a real problem.”
Julia turns around. “Wow, they really didn't have a surrogacy market did they.” Evelyn shakes her head in response.
Rachel hums, looking upward. “I wonder why the violence dropped. I know it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.”
Eliza shrugs. “Men are taught that they're powerless, duh, and the ones who care get all the sex they want without trying. That and a lot of it shifted over to aminoids.”

My Thoughts on Number Two, Surrogacy
Here’s the short version. I put this in here because I feel like this is a natural consiquence of the world I created. Think about it. if you have a bunch of animal-human hybrids marrying and couple with humans, chances are they won’t be able to reproduce naturally. So, surrogacy is inevitable. However, what kind of surrogacy are we dealing with? Chances are this is likely a corperate system that sets people up and takes a bit off the top to make their money. There are other ways to do this, like artificial incemination to another woman. Also, someone could find another human to reproduce naturally, though at that point it starts to sound more like a polyamorous relationship, not that that is a bad thing. Women can already make a lot of money by selling access to their womb, this just makes it easier, faster, and more profitable.

A Video On The Internet: Scene 11, Number Two,Surrogacy
Myra resumes the video, skipping ahead to the next segment. “Surrogacy. Since aminoids have arrived on the scene, they have been marrying humans. However, humans and aminoids cannot have children together. This has created a major demand for surrogacy. And the cost has gotten no cheaper either. A woman however can easily make a six-figure salary if she wants to sell her womb and be able to provide for her entire family. With surrogacy increasing in demand, the price paid will not be going down soon.”
“One might wonder why aminoids don’t have children amongst themselves while married to humans. The reason for this is twofold. First, for most aminoids who are bred, they’ve been scared out of having any children of their own naturally. Second, the length of childhood for an aminoid is far shorter than it is for a human. Thus, they have far less time with their kids, and they will probably lose all contact with them after they leave the house. For humans, however, they’ll be kids for much longer and they’ll stay a part of their lives for the foreseeable future.”

My Thought’s on Number Three: Ideal Penis Sizes
-The first thing I notice is the idea of a learned behavior. Almost everything can be learned, including what we find attractive. This then begs the question: why do women of this period desire longer penises then women today? The answer could be one of two things generally speaking. First they could have gotten used to the idea of Aminoids as they are bred for that sort of thing, or it could be simple power over men who don’t have the goods and who know they don’t and thus feel forced to make up for it in other areas.
The second thing I notice is how decietful this girl is. That seventy percent figure she throws out? Well it’s true for ALL women. it’s True, believe it or not, only about thirty to thirty-five percent of women can climax from g-spot stimulation alone. She also puts this failure purely on the men, implying that their entire funtion in society is to bring women to climax, and are not worth anything if they cannot do this. Her concern for trans women only cements this prejudice. It’s only when women are being negively affected that she is concerned.
All of this leads us to a simple concusion. This women shows us what it means to be in power. She doesn’t have to change anything because there is no risk to her talking like this on a video that’s going to a global market.
Finally I can’t leave here without talking about Elijah. Yes what happened to him was normal for a male canoid. Why, you ask? First, they don’t get much money out of them because normally they are baught from normal people, Elijah and Ellis got lucky. Two, canoids males have a rebellious streak in them, This is one sure-fire way to make them crumble. Also yes, Elmira and Eliza were both taken by their dad. The breedng system is as bad as it gets. And whats worse, humans seem to either like it this way or not care enough to do anything about it.

A Video On the Internet, Scene 9: Number three: Ideal Penis Sizes (Possible TW)
“Within the last quarter century the ideal penis size has gone up an average of around six inches in A 2020 study to a shocking seven and a half inches in A 2045. Many women, however, have to face a shocking reality when it turns out a majority of human men have penises less than six inches long. What's worse is that seventy percent of these women cannot climax through sexual intercourse alone. With stats like these, it's no wonder why so many women are turning to aminoid men to please them.”
“However, women, too, are negatively affected by this. I’m talking about trans women who keep their penises. It hurts many of these women too because they may disappoint their partners. So this needs to be taken seriously.”
“In fact, a 2046 study on social media found that penis size was the biggest, and most times, the only reason for the breakup with their male partners.”
“As disheartening as all this is though aminoids provide hope for women who need an a satisfying alternative. There is a cynical side to this, though. Aminoids, specifically canoids, are bred to have large penises. But breeding being what it is, it doesn't always happen like that. When a male's penis is too small, usually he is euthanized, but sometimes the doctor will grant an override provided the man in question chooses not to breed. To make this happen, though, the doctors demand sexual favors from their sisters. Yes, that's right, even here men still found a way,”
Myra stops the video suddenly. “I'm sorry William,” she says choking up. “You were right she was being mean.”
Elijah leans forward, burying his head in his arm, and Myra can hear him whimpering. Eliza sits on his lap, hugging him.
William leans into Myra and bounces his hand. “Um, why is he crying,” he whispers.
Myra puts her forehead against his; she's holding back tears. “They raped him. His nurses did it over two hundred times, all by women.”
Billy's eyes grow wide, “They can't do that.”
Myra kisses his head and cups his face in her hands. “If he refused, they could have him killed.” William looks downward and slumps in his seat.
Ellis takes a deep breath. “At least it was, partially, accurate.”
Eliza shoots him a look. “That's not funny.”
“I wasn't being funny,” Ellis says. “I'm showing my appreciation.”
Julia looks up at the ceiling while turning in his direction. “Ellis?”
“I came in at six-and-quarter,” he says. “Breed minimum is six-and-a-half. They would’ve put me down. They would have if it wasn't for you two.”
Eliza sits next to William again. “Only it wasn't the doctor who wanted us.” Eliza looks to the floor.
Myra’s throat clenches as she tries to talk. She has to take a breath. “It was Dad.” Tears form in her eyes. “I got lucky I only had a single session with him and that was a threesome with Eliza. She… wasn't as fortunate.”
“Stop,” Eliza says, reaching passed William and putting a hand on her shoulder. “Blaming yourself. I'd do it all over again, knowing it saved my brother's life.”
“Please, play the show.” Elijah finally raises his head up. “I want to get my mind off all this.”

My Thoughts on Number Four: Organized Crime
I would say out of all of these entries this was the one that seemed most irelevant. This also add an element of unpredictability to the subject too though. One thing’s for sure, you did not see this entry coming.
This being said there are two take-aways in this entry. First, aminoids are preditors. They will kill those who are a threat to them. Humans usually won’t, they want to just live normal lives. Threaten an aminoid and they’re as likely to kill you outright as let you finish your sentance. Second, this world has truly changed. Yes, men go into sex work around the globe right now. Most of those men though have to sell their services to men. However, things hae changed so much that women now make up enough clientel for a man to work in this industry without having to sell their services to other men.
Beyond this, you could also say that aminoids feel that sex and not chemical narcotics are a better drug of choice. This is evident by how they’ve taken over the industry. It’s easy to look at cat-girls and say they are cute. My goal with this entry is to show you otherwise.

A Video On the Internet, scene nine: Number four, Organized Crime.
“Number four, organized crime, sex trafficking, and people smuggling. On August twenty first, 2041, at one o'clock in the afternoon, Pacific Standard Time, over 50,000 aminoids showed up in various cities across the border in Mexico. Men were dragged out in the middle of the towns, promptly killed, piled up in the middle of the town square, and burned. And local law enforcement they stood back and watched. What would you do? These victims, we’re all members of the Mexican drug cartels.”
“On social media someone quipped, ‘Oh look, Fibonacci takes another victim. This time it was the drug cartels. LOL' Why would somebody say this? It turns out August twenty-first is the two-hundred-thirty-third day of the year, and one in the afternoon was the thirteenth hour of the day. Two-thirty-three and thirteen are both Fibonacci numbers. It turned out, according to declassified CIA documents, these aminoid prostitutes used go-betweens who paid them with some Fibonacci number to show they were on the inside.”
“This had wide-reaching consequences across the world, as it was much harder to get drugs into the US now. Also, aminoids in other countries heard about this and staged their revolts leading to similar results. With much of the criminal element out of the way sex work, especially in Western countries, began being taken over by aminoid women. With the notable exception of male sex workers. These were still human in population, but the clientele had changed. It's now possible for a man to be a sex worker and never have to sleep with another man. And this is the first time in history there have been more human men doing sex work than human women.”
“People smuggling suffered a similar fate as drug cartels and organized crime syndicates fell to aminoid uprisings. Now the only people smuggling that takes place are for illegal immigration, not kidnapping and exploitation.”

My Thoughts on Scene 8, Number 5: Pornography
First off, this blog has been hard on me to get out. Not only only because of real life but also due to the complex nature of the entry itself.
Now onto the main topic. The first thing I notice in this scene it how much information is actually packed into thiese initial sentances. The fact that nakos became popular in porn would’ve happened right around number seven’s entry. from this we can infer that cat-girls being popular on the internet could have easily played a rolein fanning these flames. Further, girls could have felt like they were being replaced by nekos. Thus women felt they had to get stronger and more assertive to make up for it. The second thing we can see is that men are being replaced too. This means that a lot more women are becoming iinterested in, and likely playing for, porn.
This next paragraph says everything we need to know. It may be sex work but there are benifits to this industry that get overlooked, like independance. Also, the fact that this may be the only way for Aminoids to marry one of their own and start a family, says a lot about the state of their affairs.
The third paragraph speaks volumes too. Tsunigomi, for all its talk about helping aminoids, is at least partially complicit for their ill treatment. Now, we don’t know the whole story, sure, but we do know that there is a way out for them, and at the very least the institute isn’t successful in replicating that strategy.
Finally, I love the last sentance. I’m not sure what feels so appealing about two characters completing a conversation we the reader have never heard. Perhaps it makes the world feel more alive.

A Video On the Inernet, Scene Eight: Number Five, Pornography
“Number five, pornography. Many of you were probably wondering where this one was on our list. Well, here it is. In the early teens and twenties, pseudo-incest porn became very popular. When aminoids were introduced into the world, they quickly replaced the women of these videos with nekos. This trend exploded in popularity. And by 2035 nearly every female in the industry was a cat-girl. Cat-men were becoming more popular too, and 3 years later no man performing in the industry at the time was over the age of 25, human or not.”
“Today, aminoids going in to porn has a very negative and even dangerous reputation. This is curious because the industry nowadays is almost entirely own by aminoids themselves. In fact, this is one of the few ways they can marry one of their own, and have a reliable regulation-free way of having children. The poor reputation is most likely because of the Breeding Authority in Japan and China.”
“When organizations give aminoids to the disabled, these organizations are buying them from the breeding authorities in these countries, often with money from the government. However, if these people go into pornography instead, most of the time the authorities get nothing in return. This is because of some creative accounting practices of these studios, who couldn’t afford to buy the aminoids.”
Myra glances over to Eliza. She's glaring daggers back at her. Myra sighs. “Not a word.”

My Thoughts on Scene 7, Disabilities
At first glance this seems like the “feel good” segment of Samantha’s list. However, even cursory glance at this entry reveals some much darker truths.
First, Elles was right on the money. Aminoids are taking care of the minority of humans, other humans don’t want to deal with. Further, this seems to be of great benifit to both parties. Both of the Dog-girls were really excited about living with a disabled person, and Myra basically said this was the best life she could’ve hoped for. People who have disabilities get a lot out of this deal too. think about it. They go to get an Aminoid and come back with someone who will care for them and probably won’t leave them. It’s a mutually benificial relationshp.
Here’s the thing though, the fact that this relationship exists at all is disturbing. it says so much about humans and what they value in this world. Again Keep in mind that those with mental health issues like depression or anxiety are lumped into this catagory too. This scenario also implies that these people probably don’t have a chance at a normal dating life either. This goes for both men and women.
Finally, and probably most egregious, is her depiction of PTSD. There are people all the time who end up with PTSD without being involved in the kind of life choices that she describes. I’m not sure if Samantha is in denial, willfuliy ignorant, or just doesn’t care about the issue here. I am, after all, one of those people who PTSD symptoms without going to war, or being involved with violence. I have my symptoms because I was bullied heavily as a child. Eliza lays out another case where this could happen: abuse, which is just as likely.

A Video on the Internet, Scene 7: Number Six, The Disabled
Myra Smiles and resumes the video. “Number six, the disabled. There is no other group on this list, the benefit more from aminoids than the disabled. What may come as a surprise to some is how easy and inexpensive it is to obtain one. At the cost of a round trip train ticket, or possibly even free, a person could get a caretaker or a spouse for the foreseeable future. This is possible because of several federal grants, state programs, and side investments.”
“The other major surprise regarding this entry is what these organizations considered being a disability. Anyone who has taken medication for a mental illness, anyone who has seen a specialist for mental health reasons, and anyone who has confessed to having suicidal thoughts or tendencies all qualify for a reduced rate at getting an aminoid.”
“And there is one other surprised that this entry has to offer. According to Tsunogami an astounding seventy-two percent of men who come through looking for a spouse, qualify for a reduced rate based on having PTSD symptoms. What’s even more interesting about this is the background of these men. These aren’t people who you would expect to have PTSD. They’re not veterans in war, they have to file a criminal record, and there’s no known history of sexual abuse. So why these men are getting PTSD is unknown. And that these numbers seem to increase is a fairly disturbing trend.”
Myra leans over Billy to whisper in her sister's ear. “Abuse,” she says without stopping the video. Eliza looks at her and nods.

My Thoughts on scene 5, reactions
First off, I love how of this conversation flowed sore ganic Li from one subject to another.  Upon subsequent read through as, you can tell that there are definite dividing points where the conversation escalated it and changed subjects. However, this feels very organic as I said before.
Second,  I love how this story is refrain by Evelyn into something lot more down-to-earth. It's not some abstract argument of feminism versus masculinity, Instead it's about people, the conflicts that arise, and how easily it is to twist it into something it's not.
With this in mind, notice how this argument to was twisted into something that it wasn't turning for and against each other. It's easy to lose sight of what's actually important to us.  Anime is clearly something that all of these people care about, So why is it then that it divides everybody? That is what this scene examines.
Things take us in especially dark turn when it becomes personal and talks about William. Personally, I think this was one of the big reasons why William stopped the conversation in the first place. I think he believed he was being examined.

A Video On the Internet, Scene Six: Reaction and Escalation
“Wow,” Julia says. “Where's the compassion? The empathy for your fellow man?” Myra pauses the video.
Evelyn clears her throat. “I'm guessing by that reaction you guys haven't heard this story before?” Everyone shakes their heads. “A friend of my mom's was at the incident, and it was not about feminism. I guess these two girls spotted these guys going out with their nekos, so it was one big group. And they hated how the cat-girls looked like they were serving the men.”
“Hold on,” Eliza says. “That's kink shaming.”
“And it's inaccurate,” Myra says, taking over. “Those girls were in total control of their husbands.”
Evelyn laughs. “Yeah, but they didn't know. Any who, after the incident the entire thing was co-opted by a minority of feminists. Mom wasn't among them, and she wrote an open letter to the victims showing her support. So there was more than one side to that story.”
“And another thing,” Rachel says. “She talks about otaku and nerd culture like it's a thing of the past and that's just garbage. I made my career out of this at one point.”
Evelyn adjusts her glasses. “Anime has changed though, it's a lot more body positive than it used to be.”
“Careful,” Julia says. “It's body positive for women, not men.” Rachel nods. “Yeah  it's not sex positive for men either. Harem anime is an excellent example.”
Evelyn shrugs. “I've seen some with an overweight protagonist, and nearly all of them are sexually motivated.”
Julia nods. “Yeah, and they get more conventionally attractive as the show goes forward.”
Rachel turns to Evelyn. “And that sexuality is always depicted as being immature. Later the protagonist always learns to be more romantic and servile to his girls.” Eliza looks at Evelyn too. “And many times an ex who reminded he of his old life will tempt him. If it's fantasy oriented, he'll die four or five times at least.”
“Well, the character needs to grow or you don't have a story,” Evelyn says.
Eliza furrows her brow. “Yeah, but this happens in pretty much in every show nowadays, anime or not. They always illustrate growth in a male character in terms of his distance to his sexuality and childishness.”
“The goal is the total change of the character to something more conventionally appealing to women,” Rachel says.
Evelyn sighs, leaning back in her chair. “Oh, come on, you make it sound like they'll die unloved or something. Neko, inu, and rabi love that kinda stuff.”
“Oh really,” Myra asks. “Look at William.”
“What about him? William is the perfect gentleman, and you’re lucky to have him.” Evelyn looks over to William, who squirms in his seat.
“You believe that,” Eliza says, leaning forward. “Cuz I’ll tell you right now. No human girl would ever date him. They wouldn’t hassle themselves over his disability.”
“Besides, the biggest problem that I had with William, was getting him to express his sexuality.” Myra looks at him as he folds his arms. “He had a near freak out when I got undressed in front of him.”
“And you weren’t there when we all discovered his dirty little secret.” Rachel says rolling her eyes. “He was afraid for his life when we found out he thinks girls are attractive when they put a costume on.”
Evelyn looks out the window. “Oh, come on, you really believe he represents the majority?”
“I think that’s the wrong question,” Julia says. I think a better thing to ask is, are we okay with an environment that allows this kind of result.”
“Also,” Rachel says. “I thought the whole point of sexual positivity was to bring everyone together, not just the people you find attractive and acceptable.” Eliza raises her hand, “And-”
“I want everyone to stop fighting.” William rocks in his seat.
Myra puts her arm around him and kisses his head. “All right, everyone gets to make one more point and we will move on. Go head Eliza.”
She holds William's hand. “I was just going to say that women have changed nothing that men do, they just pass all that stuff on to us.”
Julia clear her throat. “Take it from someone who’s been in the minority their whole lives. The message sent doesn’t matter, only the message received.”
Rachel sighs, turning to Evelyn. “No one should be afraid for their life to express how they feel about someone. Especially someone as nice as William.”
“Look,” Ellis says it turning into Evelyn. “It really appears humans want us to deal with they’re undesirable citizens.”
“It really comes off like that,” Evelyn asks. Elijah nods. Evelyn adjusts her glasses. “I have been with sixteen boyfriends before you. Every single one of them either looked at porn or checked out other girls while we were together. You never do Elijah.”
Elijah shakes his head, “I’m broken.” He sighs. “You know I don’t have a drive anymore.”
Myra leans in to her husband. “Did you want to say anything?”
“I didn’t like the people getting hurt,” he says.
Eliza puts an arm around him and kisses him on the head. “You nailed it, dude.”
