It's funny how this scene do so much for both caracthers. Even though it looks so simple at the surface it tells us just how much these two have grown compared to the first season. I wish more scenes where like this.

Shouto was the first one to get rid of the awkwardness with Deku the bath scene was sweet but a little sad like they made a joke but still feel sad them sitting in the common area the first to approach was shouto as if it it normal and sit next to him and reduce the tension after the all might scene the class seem more relax

Yeah, I think for the others, there is this tension of not knowing how to behave with Deku who is now the powerful 9th holder of OFA and All Might's successor.

But I think Shouto, who was treated like a legacy his whole life and had his quirk as something that kept separating him from his loved ones understands that Izuku doesn't need right now to be treated like something special because of OFA, but treated normally and made to feel belong.

It also plays into Shouto's storyline of wanting to become a reassuring hero who can put people at ease.

So he's just so soft and caring and focused on Izuku's needs.

And now that he's safely back in the dorm, Shouto also opens up to the class.
