i love angela very much. she’s one of my fav characters. she’s a revolutionary in the medical field, and she’s done so much good.

she also saved a young, traumatized genji’s life for the sake of turning him into a weapon for an illegal black ops organization.

she also stole ana’s tech to advance her own caduceus technology. she played it off as a joke, so they assumedly talked it out, but she did in fact still steal ana’s work.

she’s also, in every universe we’ve seen other than mainline, a sadistic megalomaniac willing to do anything for her own benefit.

vengeance is not just a sideswapped version of angela. vengeance is what angela could have easily become if she had just failed a few more times. if she had a few more immovable objects in the way of her unstoppable force. she is determined, she gets what she wants, and mainline canon just happened to go her way.

angels are never good or evil. angels are tools, neutral until given purpose. angela just happened to fall in the right hands.

i love headcanoning angela as Not A Great Person because 1) it clashes so heavily with her angel motif and 2) it makes the switch from mercy to vengeance so much more tragic
