sorry for taking so long!!! I’ve already picked out the winners, and I am currently in the process of drawing the winning character designs. It’s really hard to decide when there are so many amazing entries, I wish I could draw them all D:

What's your opinion on tracing?

don’t like tracing, sorry. If you want to learn to draw then copy the reference, don’t trace it, I don’t think it teaches you anything. kinda like putting up the bumpers in bowling, helps you knock down some pins, but you don’t really learn from it

how long do your traditional and digital pieces take you? especially the ones with backgrounds cause they're so detailed and beautiful, if I tried to do something like that it's take me forever

hahaha a really long time XD weirdly, the digital ones take longer for me (I guess because it’s a lot easier to fix mistakes so you try make everything perfect) but I’d say 2-4 hours traditionally and 3-6 digitally :P

It never feels that long for me though, mostly because I enjoy myself when doing these pieces. I go to my playlist of horror stories and listen while I draw, it’s really relaxing -u-

Do you have a layout for the house your OCs live in? or do you just draw random rooms? cause if they do have a proper house I wanna see a layout xD no pressure

yeah, iv’e been meaning to do a layout for the longest time! I already have a few, but I’m still working on it :3 I’ll post it if I ever get it done hahaha

Is it okay to take a certain aspect of another artist word and make it your own style say perhaps eyes?

of course :3 everyones styles have been some what inspired by other artists, I think as long as you don’t purposely try to replicate a style exactly (especially if you want to avoid drama and be more unique and original) then go for it :D style and style theft is a pretty controversial topic in the art community, although I don’t think style theft exists, having someone copy pretty much every aspect of your style can be a bit disheartening, especially since every artist wants to be unique with a recognisable style. So I say, take as much inspiration from as many artists you want (I mean there isn’t any other way a person can come up with their style) but also make sure to make it your own, if that makes sense, hope this helps (this is of course just my opinion)

thank you so much for allowing me be a part of your collaborative comic, this really forced me to think more creatively and let my imagination flow freely, Working on these panels reminded me how limitless the possibilities are when it comes to comics, illustrations and art in general, you can go outside all logic and create whatever you fucking want :3 This was super fun <3
