The boy had been sleeping with another girl for going on seven months, he couldn’t imagine having to stop. He did love Tami but he also loved Lana and he was too selfish to give one up. The thought of having a kid scared him, it was tthe last thing he wanted. “We just get rid of it.” he popped off. “I mean there is abortion..there is adoption..”

his reply took her aback. she does understand that they’re probably a bit young to have their own kid, but getting rid of someone that blossomed because of their love for each other is something else. she looked at him in pure disbelief. “ what ? ” she weakly breathed out. “ get rid of it ? ” she questioned. she bitterly laughed and shook her head, “ how could you say something like that? ”

“Oh, hold on. Who says so?” He asked, raising a brow. “I remember, you were such a blessed child, you know that?” He grinned. “So… Do you want a drink or a snack or anything?”

“ i know that ” she proudly smirked. “ i want some really cheesy fries and cherry soda. do they serve that here? if not, you better take me somewhere they do or i will scream really loud and hold my breath until you agree to take me. ”

Jersey listened to the girl go on. He raised an eyebrow. They didn’t have a really sexual relationship, in fast they hadn’t had sex much in their relationship until more recently. Jersey felt too guilty to sleep with Tami while he was sleeping with Lana. “Oh- You don’t think you’re….?” he questioned and looked at her. “Wait you said you went to the doctor and everything was fine.. I just want to know what is going on.”

“ pregnant? ” she asked. maybe it’d be much easier to lead him on to something like this. it would take his mind off about her real condition. “ i haven’t really got check, i’m too scared ” she lied. lying became easier with ever word. “ i don’t know what’s going on and i’m too scared. what if i am pregnant? what are we going to do ? ”

“Why would you keep your health condition a secret?” He frowned, smirking a little. “You’re dumb, Tami.” He teased. “So you’re not gonna stay because I’m asking but because you want me to buy you snacks after? AND you called my band stupid.” He shook his head. “You’re hurting me right now.” He said serious, but there was a little smirk on his face. “Alright, I guess I can do that.”

“ because i’m a little shit ” she shrugged with a laughter. “ i’m not dumb. i’m the smartest and prettiest out of the gray clan ” she proudly smirked. “ yes, i am staying for the freebies. i had enough of you music. i don’t know if you remember but i actually grew up with you and hearing you sing in the bathroom so....”

Jersey really couldn’t be upset, but yet he was, he was hurt that she would keep something that was obviously this upsetting to her from him. He stayed in the kitchen for a moment and then heard his girlfriend enter the room. when she apologized he sighed. “i would rather you just tell me, tami. I am your boyfriend and i love you. I hate when you keep things from me especially when it is something that makes you feel like this.. it is obviously important and i should know so we can deal with it.”

evidently, it’s very hard for her to open up about her health. she tries to avoid it as much as she can, but it’s hard. it’s hard to keep it a secret when day by day it shows. she looked at him and sighed. all she hoped is for her to have the courage to tell him. she opened her mouth but nothing came out. she can’t, she can’t say it. “ i don’t know why, but i’ve been feeling really sick as of lately. i can’t eat properly and i’ve had weird cravings. i already went to the doctors and everything seemed to be fine, but ---but i feel very sick lately, like all i want to do is sleep and there are some smells that makes me sick that didn’t before.”

“ i can’t take over the counter medicines. my body is quite complicated. can you maybe drive me to the doctors? ”

“Yeah, I’d love to see you act like my biggest fan.” He laughed. “And that wasn’t a proper excuse, there are people that go to work while they are dYING, really. A little of fresh air wouldn’t have done anything to you.”

“ well, maybe i am dying then but you don’t know that, because i decided to keep my true health condition a secret? ” she questioned, but it was soon followed by a laughter when she realized  how bad that sounded. she doesn’t want to say anything that may cause doubts. “ fine, fine, i’ll stay and watch you play with your stupid band or whatever it is you do, but you better buy me snacks after.”

jersey laid looking at her on his side. he had been with her long enough to know that she was lying to him. he sighed and pulled away from her when she stopped talking. “you’re lying.” was all he said as he moved out of the bed and heading into the kitchen to get something to drink. looking through the cabinets for a cup he only made himself more worried at what in the world she was feeling the need to lie to him about. but he tried to not let it get to him ,though he was never one to let anything go. he poured him some milk and stood against the counter sighing as he took a drink of his milk.

“ i’m not....” she exhaled. she took a deep breath in and held her chest. the guilt was suffocating her and she can feel her chest tighten. she bit the bottom of her lip and breath in and out slowly. trying to keep herself calm, but how could she when she knows that jersey is probably mad at her. she pushed herself up from the bed with both her hands against her chest. she took a deep breath in and walked out of the room. “ jersey ” she softly called out. she looked at him and sighed, “ i’m sorry ” she walked towards him. “ i---i don’t think i’m ready to tell you, i don’t think i will ever be ready ” she confessed. sure, the words felt heavy but it somehow she felt a less burned in her heart. a less thing to worry in her mind. “ why don’t you come with me tomorrow? i’ll let you know for yourself ” she said. maybe it’s time for her to let him know. he’ll eventually know anyway. it’s a good idea for him to know from her and from someone else. if he does decided to leave him...it will be painful, yes, but at least she knows who truly love and cares for her.

tia leans back, arms folded across her chest, an eyebrow lifted, “are you done? yeah, you’re damn right you’re not the only person i can call up, but you’re the person i actually wanted to call up. i bitched at you because my time felt wasted because, like i said, actually wanted to hang with you and wow why am i even explaining myself?” she digs into her purse and grabs her pack of tissues and throws it at her, “get well soon, bitch.”

she listened to the girl and laughed a little. “ do you want to just stay in and hang out? i’m sure i’ll feel better soon. we can go then ? i really want to hang out with you as well ” she lovingly smiled at the girl. she took the tissue and looked up at her with a pout. “ please stay, i really need a freind right now.”

When she didn’t speak it really worried him. he hated not knowing what was going on and then she lied t o him only made him feel worse. “you are lying.” he muttered as she stroked his cheek. “I hate when you lie to me…” he said softly. “You can tell me anything and keeping something from me only makes me feel like a even shittier boyfriend." 

for years they’ve been together, it’s foolish of her to think that she’d be able to conceal her lies. she looked at him and forced a smile out. “ i’m not lying to you ” she said, unable to look at him. she looked down and bit the bottom of her lip. it’s not like she wants to keep lying to him about what was happening to her, she needs to keep it a secret. it’s for everybody’s good. the less people know the better. people will surely treat her differently when they know about her true condition and she doesn’t want that. she’ll only feel weak...weaker than she already does. she reached for his hands and shook her head. “ no, no ” she looked up at him and smiled. “ you’re not a shitty boyfriend. never was and never will. you’re  the best thing that ever happened to me. it’s nothing, i promise. i just feel really sick that’s probably why i’m saying this crazy things. i’d kiss you, but you might get sick too ” although, she knows that what she has can’t be transferred no matter how much physical contact she does.

Jersey knew that she wasn’t contagious and that was why he didn’t bother to move when she was worried about him getting sick from her. He wrapped his arms tightly around the girl and held her close to him until she pulled away. “I love you too, you’re scaring me.. are you okay, baby? I mean other than the obvious.”

she looked at him momentarily. should she tell him? what if he knows about it and he decides to leave her. she doesn’t think she’ll be able to handle that. she forced a smile out and shook her head. she placed a hand on his cheek and stroke his face with her thumb. “ nothing, i’m fine. i’m sorry. i just wanted you to know that i love you” she weakly smiled.
