HBO SPN Headcanons

I feel like in my HBO!SPN headcanon, 

Sam would have the aesthetic of 80s neon, 90s grunge and a little bit of Johnny Cash's Outlaw Country and can see Angels' true forms and is outwardly enby

Whereas Dean would be Americana/Western Gothic. 

Gabriel would be Pastel or Kawaii and obsessed with Pokémon, anime and Cafés with 3 sets of bright Pastel Pink Wings that are shown 24/7. 

And Cas would be dressed to the brim in black. Whether suits or leather with a black shirt and only shows his wings to people he trusts. In the bunker you can see him with a black button up with the sleeves rolled up halfway, black jeans, and two sets of rainbow wings that shine so bright as a beautiful, stark contrast to his all black attire

Henry never left John and Millie so John always loves the MOL lore book (he's very much like Sam in flashbacks) and occasionally goes on cases with Henry but John gets drafted in Vietnam and comes back with PTSD to the max coupled with Mary's death, he leaves the bunker and takes the boys on the road from town to town hunting monsters. He has a drinking and anger problem but never hits the boys (mostly takes his anger out on beer bottles or a local outdoor shooting range) John's aesthetic would be a 50s dark neon diner aesthetic kinda like how Riverdale is advertised in their posters

In the flashbacks, we see Bobby and John were once together but John wasn't out as bi bc it was the 50s and despite Henry and Millie being accepting, he had some internalized Homophobia/self-hatred from school. So they get into this huge fight but eventually Bobby finds Rufus and John finds Mary

you’ve heard of autistic sam and you’ve heard of psychic sam NOW GET READY FOR;;;;;;

AUTISTIC PSYCHIC SAM!!!

okay but autistic psychic sam who sometimes can’t distinguish between having a vision and having a meltdown because of the sheer, overwhelming, blinding pain. he has a very high pain tolerance, but it gets to be too much.

who stims with his telekinesis, a gentle little tap tap tap movement of his pen on the table with his mind whenever he’s researching because the noise calms him down.

who, on the opposite end of the spectrum of the last one, sometimes does self-injurious stims by making shit fly around and hit him when he’s melting down, and needs to hear someone he loves reassure him with their voice in order to calm down

who LOVES physical contact BUT ONLY if he knows the person really well and he’s the one who initiates, otherwise he gets really overwhelmed and freezes up + is afraid he’s going to accidentally hurt someone with his powers (its happened before and hes not keen on it happening again)

who sometimes gets too overwhelmed to speak and goes nonverbal and will use telepathy to convey what he’s thinking to his brother or cas or anyone who knows him well. 

who feels everyone’s emotions SO STRONGLY (esPECIALLY OTHER PSYCHICS!!!) bc of a mix of hyperempathy and just, you know, being psychic. 

who can mimic other people’s psychic abilities in a direct parallel to the way he mimics social cues.

who has echolalia and sometimes, when dean’s saying an excorcism and sam’s using his powers to kick the demon out of the vessel (they’ve found that doing both makes for a stronger, more efficient excorcism) sam can’t help but repeat the words of the excorcism bc like!!! yeah??? words?? words!!!!

will use telekinesis to flip faster through books on his special interests (true crime and languages, especially dead languages)

who sometimes happy stims by flapping his hands and the power goes out or something breaks and everyone wants to be mad but he’s just! so! excited! so its hard to be mad at him lmao

who sometimes understands sarcasm and sometimes doesn’t, but when he doesn’t understand what’s being said he always looks to dean for reassurance, who tells sam (via telepathy again) if something’s supposed to be sarcastic or not

who feels so strongly that when he’s happy and comfortable, he makes colorful plants grow and bloom! and when he’s angry or sad or anxious or having a meltdown, the wind gets a little stronger / the rain turns into a storm / there’s a crash of lightning

who teaches other autistic psychic children (like his son jack who is also autistic and has powers that basically make him psychic!!!) how to calm themselves with their powers, how to feel in control

who learns to love each and every part of himself that makes him different, because they’re a big part of who he is.
