I work in care/social care. One of our service users was sexually deviant/displayed challenging sexual behaviours when he was younger. But he doesn't have the capacity to understand why it is wrong. And so we looked after him in a secure care home. That should be where these people are. In homes where people look after them and try and curb their behaviours. I never considered that such vulnerable people went to prison but deities above I can see it. I guess service user was lucky he was identified as needing care early...

for everyone who’s for prison abolition “but not sexual predators!!!” I am begging you to understand how many guys write our prison books program who are sexually deviant, ineligible for parole EVER, and have the mental capacity of elementary-age children.

their letters are a barely legible scrawl of broken sentences or they get someone else to write the letter for them and scribble their names at the bottom with letters backwards. they ask for coloring books and comic books and books with lots of pictures because they can’t read. they will tell us that they’re sexual predators in their letters but from the way they talk about it, it’s clear they don’t understand what that means, it’s just something someone told them.

Yes! Attraction is.......weird and unique and wonderful and confusing!!! But yeah I don't think lack of attraction is transphobic, but also I do think if someone says 'I'd never date a trans person' then that is somewhat dubious. Also what occurs to me only now is a difference between emotional closeness and sexual attraction which I didn't realise back then.

I LOVE ABO WORLDBUILDING and some fics have it and it’s great but like. Mostly it’s smut. 

ABO fics tend to bug me because they take this sci-fi (or fantasy, maybe) concept with lots of potential for worldbuilding, and drop the freaking ball. It’s sex pollen fic with Additional Gender Discrimination and an in-universe explanation for mpreg, but the worldbuilding never makes sense for this as a “humans have always been like this”, and it only kinda works with “for some reason this developed several generations ago”.

Like, if alpha/beta/omega are as big of a deal in these verses as they get written, why are male/female genders even a thing? Secondary sexual characteristics like distinct tits and facial hair aren’t even universally considered gender markers in our world, they vary between cultures. Why do you have two gendered pronouns instead of three? Or zero? Or six?

Our species has menopause; is there an abo menopause equivalent where people stop going into heat, or stop responding hormonally to other people’s heats? What is life like for abo-intersex people? What are the transition options and tools for abo-trans people? If a given fic has heat-blocking pills available, what are the cultural attitudes towards them?

Where is the worldbuilding. Where is it.

I’m waiting to hear back about a couple of little OC things before I post this next one, but it is done and I suspect I can post it tomorrow morning-ish. There has been some heavy re-writing for the comic but everything should go smoothly now.  There is a very minor issue, though.  While going over this next part I realized that there will be a few instances of nameless OCs, so I referenced the OC by their creator’s handle.  If you’d like for me to update the posts with your OC’s name just let me know and I will correct it. Also if your handle has changed since your submissions, please let me know and I will correct that as well.  I suspect there will be a few cases of old info on some of these.  I’m posting the credit as it was given to me originally, just let me know if you need it updated.

I read and understood what you’re saying, but I think (from my squiggly understanding) that.....you misunderstood each other? You’re saying that it’s okay to not be attracted to someone-who-is-trans, whereas silie is pointing out that you shouldn’t generalise? Because. The point you make is  valid - not everyone is everyone’s type. However you shouldn’t define ‘trans’ as a type. I think.

So, things have escalated pretty quickly at my apartment and for once, it’s not family drama.

My husband and I need to move out with our cat ASAP. Our landlady is trying to make it miserable for us and kick us out. We have a German roach problem because there are some disgusting people in our complex and they’ve been doing renovations. We’ve told her about this problem and she’s done nothing, not even sending anyone out here to spray. We can only battle so much ourselves.

Now our AC is broken and it’s been a week and she still hasn’t called the AC repair people. I think she’s trying to kick us out under ‘being dirty’ or something.

There are no apartments in Vidor to move to where we can all stay as a family unit with our cats and with five people. We can only pay so much at a time.

I’m looking into getting a job seriously now. To make this easier on everyone, Kenneth and I need to get our own place. Their rent would be lower, and so would ours.

However, I have no money to even start looking at apartments. 

I know I have commissions constantly going, but I’m not getting many.

So now I’m asking you, please help us move out and get us out of this situation of, quite frankly, neglect.

I want to get a goal of $1,000 to start the process of looking for an apartment and to have some money, after utilities, to keep up with rent until I can find a job. I will work in fast food full time if I have to. This is a serious concern.

I don’t know what else to say about this except I’d appreciate it if you took the time to share. 

This is something that has been causing me a great deal of mental anguish for a long, long time, and I’m just. Not sure if I can cope with it for much longer. I understand that making this fundraiser is such a huge longshot and I’m not expecting anything from it, but I figure if I don’t try, I’ll never know.

acantha aurora, minor poet of veilgarden.  in some disgrace still over the matter of a certain play.  she believes in romance, adventure, and hedonism.  somewhat worrisomely involved in the affairs of hell; she has an unhealthy fascination for the devils of the brass embassy.  currently searching for the return of her soul; it’s not going so well. 

sylvia hawthorne (belonging to @spookyopercula), lady by night, working captain by day– or the reverse; it’s so hard to tell in the neath.  her ship is full of miscreants; a wistful deviless keeps her bed warm sometimes.
