i got the modeling itch, so here he is in 3D. made in around 30 mins (plus some from cycles crashing LMAO)

here’s something to consider. if you want a computer person thought on iterator spec bio, there is a lot of potential in them using a base 4 (quaternary) number system for storing data, instead of base 2 (binary). DNA has 4 key units, and having a form of memory that can be translated neatly to a genetic sequence could be very useful.

Someone out there (can't recall who, if you have the original post bless your soul and please send it) theorized that the data pearls are similar to a cell nucleus, with the data being encoded like DNA. I've stood by this since, and I think base 4 can very easily apply here.

I think this is a really good example of both computer science and biology intersecting. I'm not sure if it would be used for iterators very often, considering I believe them to be much more complex than a pearl and a terrible combination of multiple aspects like this

for sure iterators are more complex, but data is data. encodings can change based on your goal, but at the end of the day every single piece of digital information is stored as a combination of binary digits somewhere. we can get a sense of this by seeing the dialogue from the pearls in Five Pebbles, where Moon mentions how they are full of nearly incomprehensible working memories. context and encoding is everything when it comes to data, and if pearls function on a genome-based base 4 system, it lends to the core of the iterator’s memory working the same way!

this changed how i approached my pain. i have this saved to my phone, and every time i go to a doctor and they ask about any pain, i look at this.

it is not perfect, but yeah. it is not normal to be sitting at a 2-3 every single day. when i was talking to one of my friends, and i showed them this, and said "yeah, there hasn't been a time in the last few years i haven't been below a 2." they were shocked. get help if you're able. there was a time i was sitting at 4-6 every single day for months.

listen to your body. use your words. be brave.

the amount of times i see people saying "idk if this counts as chronic pain but [describes pain that is reoccuring and has been reoccuring for a month+]" like girl. i dont know what to tell you. that is chronic pain

would you believe it if i told you i’ve been absent from tumblr bc i went back to school and made a new oc that has been literally all i talk about but the times i have tried summarizing everything i rambled for 2-3 hours straight.

this is Dewdrops Before Dawn’s Break. i have put them through hell and back with @paradoxbeta . i got into titanfall 2 because of para and now all i talk about is big robots. which, to be fair, is pretty par for the course. i am learning to draw mechs because of this.

my final artfight attack!! for @ardienothesieno

i’m INCREDIBLY PROUD of everything i’ve done for artfight this year! i made 34 attacks total, with a final point count of 4054 (i attacked prismsoup last minute to get over the 4k mark). i have now made over 100 attacks in the SEVEN YEARS i have done artfight! this year, i made 3 animations, 3 3D models, and experimented with a variety of styles and colors and it all went so well!!!!!! thanks to everyone who participated, and i’m hoping to continue the animation streak with some of my own projects in the future.

presenting my final artfight attack from this year!!! didn't post this yesterday cause i wasnt doing fantastic but HERE IT IS

this is, yet again, for my friend @tanzdoesthings!! our revenge chain made it up to level 8 njhbgvfcfrdcvgyhujn

im crazy proud of this. is it a good animation? not really. but IVE NEVER ANIMATED ANYTHING WITH MORE THEN LIKE 10 FRAMES BEFORE. AND I DID THIS IN LESS THEN 48 HOURS. I THINK THAT'S REALLY COOL.

i'll drop a post-artfight summary here as well!!

i myself made 7 attacks this fight, and drew 16 characters!! in total, i earned 753.25 points for team seafoam :)

i received 13 direct attacks, and had one of my characters included in 5 others! my battle ratio for this year is shit lol

i messed around with lighting a lot and figured out a shading style that i really like!

i taught myself how to properly animate in two days!!

and i think that two of my top three favorites pieces out of all of my art were both drawn for this fight. one as an attack and the other as a "reference" image of one of my characters.

im pretty happy with how this artfight went. wish i hadnt had such a slump near the beginning of the month, there were several attacks i had planned that i never got around to doing...

buuuuut. just because artfight is over doesnt mean i cant still draw other people's silly little guys... the violence can and will continue for as long as i want it to >:)
