i hate the word “canceled” so much first because people of any sort of notoriety (big or small) always use that as a descriptor for their controversies or scandals in an attempt to make their actions seem less extreme than they are and second because everyday average people use the word in a similar fashion to describe when they’re being called out…. like you’re a nobody there was nothing to “cancel” in the first place 😭
